  • Man! such a system is simple; Thnks

  • Thanks for video and sharing. I have problem with shock absorbers on same machine. How can I disconnect the shock absorber from the tub? Do I have to remove the fronter tub? Thanks for reply.

  • very good usefull video helps slot if you dont know much about a washing machine very well explained and easy to follow

  • One of the best video in this field I ever saw.

    Danny

  • great instructional video BUT have i got the courage to attempt this. I have the same machine and same problem

  • That's Grand, a very interesting video. Do you have any pointers on the Haier washer perchance, it seems as if the only resemblance to the Bosch is the shape and colour, Thanks

  • You can do it whitout taking it all a part like that , own experience :D

  • Great stuff. Very well explained and gave me (an enthusiastic amateur with plenty of time on his hands) the confidence to have a go. Put it all back together again and it works!!!! Would only want to emphasise that extreme care and patience is needed in knocking in the new bearings. One slip and ouch.......Not to be undertaken while the wife has stop watch running and a pile of washing ready to go.

  • @bentbert1 Haha! Brilliant stuff. Glad it worked out well.

  • Hello. I dread to ask this question. Can a laminate floor be ever responsible for a weird sound during the washing machine's spin? (according to the mechanic)

  • wot a nigjhtmare - looks almost as bad as replacing an engine cylinder head!

  • Very professional.

  • May god pay you back for your talent. Thk u so much .

  • Is the silicon sealant really necessary? What happens if you need to open it up again?

  • @soundbeans I never using silicon, it is better to replace it.

  • Very informative and enlightening. It gives me the confidence to fix my own machine or at the very least to understand what is wrong and weigh up the pros and cons of replacement. Thank you very much indeed.

  • @aaronguilder Very welcome!

  • Has anyone done a bearing in a hotpoint WM53 first edition,I can get the drum out easy enough, but Ive read you need a drum bearing tool for hotpoint?been quoted £120,can get a bearing for around £10.nice video BTW

  • Gosh, you really know your stuff. Do you work for Bosch? :)

  • @SpazChat No they don't, Espares are a parts specialist that sell parts for almost all home and garden appliances and pretty much all brands aswell. these videos are ones that help you repair appliances, not just Bosch washing machines

  • Thanks , it was a great help ! Geert Belgium.

  • really handsome by the way ;)

  • @themanchesterwizard Damn! I feel your pain. :(

  • Always are not easy like this especially to remove, the inner bearing!!!!!!!!! Nice lesson any way.

  • Looks like 2 appliance repair techs don't like this video because it's too revealing...... Thx for the video very informative.

  • Managed to get the replacement drum from Whirlpool FOC- lifetime warranty!!! Put it all back together and it works fine. Thanks again- sorry I didn't buy the part from you but have bookmarked your site for the future.

  • Absolutely Brilliant. I am an Englishman living in Florida with a Whirlpool machine. Stripped it out as per your video and found the spider on the back of the drum cracked. Lifetime warranty- I hope.

Anyway, trust a Brit to help a Brit. Many thanks.

  • @pear6950 Very very welcome @pear6950.

  • Excellent tutorial--a big job but you explained it very well --many thanks.

  • Where can I purchase drum bearings for a GE Front Load Washer? PLEASE HELP!

  • What if your drum dosen't move at all when you spin it by hand? It seems to have seized! And there is a smell of burning and little plastic bits in the wash. Regards Steve.

  • Thank you very much! It´s have been a big help! Greetings from Bilbao

  • @oxytocina De nada!

  • Do you ship to the US?

  • I have a hoover nextra and it has got very load on spin. I have checked for play on the bearings and i cant find there is a play. could the noise be something else?

  • @alebanna1 Hello there. It could be because of how you're loading the machine. Try to run a spin with no clothes inside and see if the noise persists. If it doesn't it could just be you're putting too much in there!

  • Hmmm that's odd my samsung washer drum moves allot but it dose not make that much noise lol

  • I think I'd rather dismantle a nuclear bomb using my teeth ! while carrying two cups of acid filled to the brim

  • my washing machine works but will not stop unless you change it to spin any ideas

  • @simpleearthling This kind of problem can be very hard to diagnose. It could be problem with the control module, however it could also be a problem with the element or temperature sensor. For example, if the control module could be waiting for the water in the drum to reach a certain temperature before moving on to the next stage of a wash; if the element is broken and not heating the water, the washer will never 'get' to the next stage - so the washer just stays in one part of the wash cycle.

  • @simpleearthling Stays in one part of the wash cycle forever. Is the water in the wash heating up? Touch the bowl, is it warm? Are the clothes still getting clean? (ie are you always doing a cold wash without you knowing) If you are the fix it yourself type you could test the element with a multimeter. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

  • @eSparesVideo Hi great video. I have an LG washing machine (model no. WM-16110FD). I have stripped the machine down and seperated the outer drum half- sections, but am unable to seperate the inner drum from its outer drum section. The inner drum rotates easily; there is a plate on the back of the outer drum through which the drum shaft protrudes. I can't see any rivets, screws or any fixings through the plate at all.

  • @labicycletteltd Hello. Unfortunately we (the video team) haven't worked on the particular model so we can't help you with any specifics. What you need though is a part diagram. You should then be able to deduce what fixing is still holding the two drums together. Try Google but if you have no luck then try our customer services on 0844 375 3 375. They should be able to dig up a part diagram for you. Best of luck.

  • I have an Indesit Omega 1100 washing machine.the drum on my machine doesn't turn. It goes through a cycle as normal, drains but won't spin. Any solutions to this problem to repair?

  • @KODIEBLAK This sounds like a broken belt. Which, hopefully it is, because its an easy fix-it. We can't link videos in YouTube comments but check out our channel for washing machine belt videos. Good luck!

  • @eSparesVideo

The belt is in tact,i've already checked that

  • Thankyou Mat

Excellent Step By Step, saved me over £100, took me a day, problem getting my bearing out, now all done and very happy.

    Thanks

  • @markajbetts Yay! A success story. Glad to hear it went well. All the best. -eSpares

  • I like how you show us how to do these jobs

This was as you say is not easy or simple but could me a fortune!!

    Thanks Espares
