I use to prefer X men legends 1 over 2. But after I learned it's best to have a select few you use as your regular squad (mine being Jean Grey (OP much?), Storm, Iceman, and Scarlet Fever (heals)) and if you go for a select few abilities. There are so many abilities in the game! Go for ones that complement each other. Storm has one that makes enemies take more damage. Using that with her whirlwind (with ww passive) makes her so strong. Xmen legends 1 is simpler though.

I love a strong narrative and story telling in my games. But I don't' need it in a dungeon crawler, sometimes I just want to play a game for the gameplay itself. The gameplay is so fun, esp when you play 2-4 people local co-op. I haven't played this in years, I might have to revisit this game with some old friends.

Personaly, I loved this story, its not bland!

In the four 4 players superheros rpgs of Activision, this is my second best (my best being the first ultimate alliance) third is mua 2 and least favourite is the first legends.

@Marvel996 Like many people said, Sabretooth and Pyro are playable, but only on the PC version. Maybe Blob and Mystique should also be playable, because they apear only in Acts I and II. But Angel, Beast, Forge, Emma Frost etc. also playable? That would lead to a continuity error. Angel and Beast apear as bosses (as Archangel and Dark Beast respectively), Forge suplies the team with resources and Emma Frost is captured by Apocalypse.

Obviously, not all the characters can be playable as they aren't suitable for gameplay. What power set would Angel or Beast be able to have, that would fit into the mechanics of the game? That, and several characters have redundant powers - Sabretooth and Pyro are basically palette swaps of Wolverine and Sunfire.

I love Jean Grey in this game! She is my favorite in X-Men legend series. Amazing! I wish they let her throw people and pick up people when she is flying, but they took that out in this game. Ultimately, I liked XL 1 better. The environment looked better too. A lot of places in this one is so dark and gloomy.

No that's because X-Men have amazing storylines which they can turn into games. X-Men Legends 2 was brilliant, only a fool would disagree.

Played Ultimate Alliance 1+2 and they are mediocre, whilst X-Men Legends are solid games. X-Men is probably Marvel's most famous franchise, and many people including myself grew up with X-Men.

also why the fuck do i get guardian in the game? hes not a mutant, he aint from x-men, hes from alpha flight. Why do i get iron man in the game? hes an avenger, he aint a mutant or an x-men. I agree, jubilee aint worth she hasnt been in the x-men for like 10 years. Psyclocke is another telepat whereas emma and jean make the job, while magma was never relevant on the comics. But wheres cannonball? why cant i play with angel. Wheres banshee etc etc.

x-men legends 1 was the best. Got it last week and already finished. The graphics, the story, the characters made it worth. Now starting x-men legends 2, so far, defeated sauron. The graphics make your eyes hurt expecially in the jungle. The characters are annoying, the voices are different from xl1. The only thing good, is the skins being changed in the beginning, and the gameplay being the same. The chat boxes being red instead of blue also sucks. The story sucks... they fucked up a nice game.

the tip of this game is that u need a flyer a teleporter a bridge builder and some 1 with might

i did icemna for my bridge builder night craler for my telporter and rouge for both flyer and might so i can add an extra person of my choice and i chose cyclops because i do a lot of combos and with his leader ship stat he double the damage of both combos and exp from them and he adds defence to the team and he is good in range so he will back you up if u need help.

I've just got the gamecube version but was REALLY annoyed about the Skirmish modes.

It says you unlock them at level 6 but is that all of them, like king of the hill etc,or is it just 1 skirmish level?

I hate the idea of having to trudge through an entire game just to unlock a multiplayer mode.

In the first game you have to play as Magma, and a bit of the story revolves around her. In this one, can you choose a primary character to be throughout the whole game and the story 'change' to be from that character's perspective, or do you just continuously change all characters throughout the game?
