He wasn't intending to get that high on the track...he ws trying to stay on the "Apron"..but if you notice, he got Loose, and had to go high to save it....

But, amazingly enough, that wasn;t his dumbest move. With 125,000 fans screaming for him to GET AWAY from the burning wreckage, he stands there and admires his handiwork for about 30-40 seconds. FINALLY, he realizes what's happening/hears the fans, and turns and sprints away. Moments later, the car blows sky high.......

I have gone to many a NaSCAR race over the years. This was the single dumbest set of moves I ever saw. Bosco loses it in Turn 4. His best decision- lay off the gas/brakes, let the car slow down naturally, then slowly pull back down on the apron after clearing the grass. Instead, he lays on the gas. The other two cars racing side by side were actually the 1st and 2nd place cars who were battling for the lead. The 2nd place guy was pinned, didn;t have a prayer and nailed him in the rear.

Ok for all you people callin Bosco a dumbass or whatever let me explain somethings. If you look he does not have control of the car so he had no choice but to pull in ront of traffic. If he had tried to turn the car in the grass he still would have come up into traffic. Second, I know him personally and he is not a retard or dumbass, maybe hardheaded but not dumb. He was hit from behind in turn 4 and did a good job a preventing a bigger wreck than just two cars. Learn NASCAR b4 u open ur mouth.

This is from a 1985 BGN race at Charlotte. Bosco Lowe is the #70 car, and Robert Ingram is the car who rear ends him.

I was in the first turn taking pictures, i have photos of the car burning, someone stood up in front of me and i missed the impact. The fire wouldn't go out, later found out that the owner had a hidden NOS line in the car. I never could understand why Bosco pulled back out on the track like that.
