I happen to own one of the original Saab Sonett III from 1970, yellow, slightly adjusted (Extra ligths and cosmetic dentals mostly) It's extremely hard to steer, you don't see shit, it gets cold as hell in winter. And it's the most amazing car I've ever been in. -3
That's certainly a loaded question. I strongly suggest visiting The Saab Network and posting your question on the Sonett Bulletin Board. Also, feel free to search the board for responses to similar questions, such as if a Sonett is suitable as a daily-driver, a kid's first car, etc. Good luck in your endeavors and please feel free to contact me if you would like additional information. Drive safely and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
@MySaab7 And so I have. Just a quick question, then- how much do you think a 'beater' Sonett that would be able to be driven to school on occasion or just taken out over the weekend for some fun? Preferably the car would need some work, but not enough to break the bank (less than $1k in parts) nor to require an extreme amount of spare time to complete. Also, how much would insurance cost? An arm? An arm and a leg? Both arms and both legs?
yours just has a deeper tone, mines sounds different, it has the MSS exhaust that was pit on back in the 70s so it has more of a crotch rocket sound that a deep note
I want my Sonett to sound like this. What did you use to do it?
