    Ok stock vs Stock, i would LOVE to see a 90's Hatchback or Coupe Civic, beat even just a C6, cause a STOCK civic would have noooo chance in hell against a STOCK vette. Maybe on Ebisu the civic MIGHT keep up a little, cause the vette wouldnt be able to go over say 5K RPM. Vettes have changed over the years and suspensions on them have greatly improved.

  • @brianbge2 Depends on the track. A tight, twisty track, or a touge, and the Corvette wouldn't stand a chance. A track with a lot of long straights and wide, swooping corners, then yeah the Vette would probably win. But the point is that this Civic would handle better than a Z06, and smoke it, if handling is all that mattered.

  • @rjhall90 A civic will not outhandle a ZO6 that's rediculous. The Z06 is made for the track, the civic is made to commute. Try and look at the weight ratio on the wheels for starters. That's only the beggining of why the Vette is faster.

  • Cool gets to high RPM! I'm pretty new to this stuff so this is maybe a stupid question but how do you know what RPM is too high? I mean I have seen videos here from people blowing up their engines! And aren't there suppose to be airfilters on these ITBs? Well of course this is just a test.

  • @TheFutureIsTomorrow It depends on the car, its health and age. If your driving stock on a car that has a lot of miles, take it chill but if its newer and taken care of hitting the redline is about as far as I would go. If you have the right engine build i've seen them go upto 12,500 rpms just depends but make sure your engines still making power at those high RPMs otherwise its pointless. Hondas are great but don't rev a stock Honda to shit like some ricers do, that's how engines blow...

If you trace back their roots, they werent made for handling, they were full sized cars and someone decided to drop a huge motor which made the american muscle we know today. I wish i could know about how japanese cars (fast and handling characteristics) evolved from.

  • vtec is variable timing electronic controlled, theres an extra lobe on the cams, which when hit a certain rpm its able to switch so the valves open wider and longer on intake and exhaust

  • on the old ones, the K and F series engines are I-vtec, or infinatly variable, its always at the prefect valve timing for that exact RPM...

    the K series and F series make the technology in a D or B series engine look like an old push rod V8, lol

  • fyi hopnda has produced 100's of thousands of vtech systems and has never had a manufacturer problem with any...also the vtec in my 1990 accord still works fine where as i know a few people with the vvl system that seem to no work 9outof10times.
