Hi there Just an update on the band..Mr Big have 4 albums: 'Sweet Silence' 'Mr Big' with Romeo on it, 'Seppuko' and their latest album is 'Bitter Streets'.
Dicken and Pete Crowther from the original Mr Big formed another band 'Broken Home' who had 2 albums, 'Broken Home' and 'Life' these can be found at Angel Air Records or from Soundfactormusic including signed copies.Their new single is called Come and Dance which is on our site. For more info on Mr Big please contact us at our Youtube site
I went out with Eddie Carter and we had great times, he was a singer in a pub in Worcester Park, Surrey at the time, and then went onto bigger and better things.
It is such a great shame this band wasn't recognised for their genius music talent.
Just letting you know - Mr Bigs' new single 'Georgia' from their album 'Bitter Streets' will be released Monday 12th Sept 2011 - available to download from ITunes
this song gave me goosebumps when i first heard it aged 12 in 1978 and 33 years later i've still got them! Romeo and Feel like calling home are wonderful songs too x
@eamonjwadley Queen really supported this band...with tours to the U.S. Unfortunately, there was internal conflict within the band as well as they got screwed by management. That they live on in the hearts of many of us is proof that management screwed themselves!
My Dad was a drummer for oxford band fast living around the time these boys started to hit big and knew 1 or few of the band. does any one have a hidden gem vid of what colour is the wind as we had it for his funeral and love the song would love to see the band of done it live.
I've been looking for their second album on cd for many years. I only have it on vinyl. The whole album is great and What Colour Is The Wind is beautiful. I even hate the crappy american band for stealing their name. I also hate punk with a passion because I'm old enough to also know it destroyed a lot of great bands back then, many which had like MB great potential. Like City Boy who made a few albums more but met a similar fate like MB unfortunately.
My dad toured with this group and they were queens backing band. They broke up because punk came on to the scene just as they started to become a hit.
Thank you very much for making this available. I remember seeing this (30 years ago!), and my sister got all jittery over Eddie Carter's wink at the 'bed' reference. :) This was a hit in Luxembourg, but not here. We managed to find the single (in Bournemouth), but the album didn't come out until 2001. The band broke up shortly after this TotP appearance. Shame.
You're right, this was a hit on the Radio Luxembourg chart which used to air on Sunday evenings - that's where I remember it from! It took me 25 years to track down this record. Should have been a hit, but EMI pulled it after the band broke up.

Awesome, they are still alive though I think. Yes, they should have been as big as Queen.

It's such a shame, this band should have been huge.
