  • wow great dancing and live singing!

  • their trying so hard to be like the jacksons its pathetic they could never compare to the jacksons period

  • @brooklyngurl09 Sorry but they never wanted to sound like the Jacksons. That was management. Listen to all of their later recordings and you will find that as soon as they gained any control they quickly went in a much more rock direction. They began writing their own material and playing their own instruments on their recordings. Listen to Hold Her Tight or Crazy Horses with an open mind. They wrote both and I am sure you have never heard the Jacksons sing anything like it.

  • and they raided Elvises closet

  • Love this song...of course, I love ALL their songs. :-D Was hopelessly in love with Jay.

  • Who's the co-lead with Donnie?

He was pretty much the co-lead singer for the group.

  • @jwmellott that's Merrill and he was actually the LEAD singer of the Osmonds, everyone thinks that Donny was cause he was promoted so much as the star but its Merrill's voice that is heard as the lead on all their songs.

  • well like elvis said if the osmonds dont go over to well, they can allway do a melody of constumes.roflmao

  • They're like the white version of the Jackson 5. Plus the Elvis Jumpsuits.

  • can't dance'.The Jacksons had three big hits in this year.

  • can't dance

  • Oh My God!! I was There!!!

  • The boy bands of the lst few years OWE the Osmonds a big thank you as they were one of the first ones..AND they are still performing today..not to many can say that,

  • WHO WANTS TO COMPARE THESE WHITE BOYS TO MICHAEL AND HIS BROTHERS THE JACKSONS SINGS BETTER

  • White guys can dance!!!! This was good!!!!

  • @redhead5150 Believe me, I was thinking almost the same thing. In my head I was saying, "are they sure they're white?" No offense intended whatsoever, but, that's the first thing that came to me when I saw them dancing.

  • I wanna throw up

  • I think my mother was at this... I'm gonna have to show her this video.

  • This song is PERFECT!

  • my sister did my fucking nut in playing these records constantly looking bak i can laugh but at the time could quite easily have smashed the fuck out of her music player lol

  • I love the "one bad apple dance" and I also love the way the wind is blowing though merrills hair...ahhhh

  • Those were the days yeeehaaaaaa

  • man I almost bet my friend 10 bucks that this was a jackson 5 song, good thing i didn't haha

  • White people.

  • Recuerdo en mi pais veia sus shows en Tv , Me encantaba Donnie y Marie

  • you know the jacksons had some stiff competition back then!! but i will always love the jackson 5.

  • ''excellent''

  • I remember when this first song first came out. In fact, a lot of people originally thought this was Jermaine leading with Micheal backing him up. In fact, this was one of the only Osmond songs to be played on a black station. The closet thing to a Jackson song the Osmonds came out with. Oh yes, and the corner record store, actually stocked this record and they sold in our community.

  • Enough said...everything you said is true...we thiught it was the Jackson when we found out it was The Osmonds we were very surprised but we sang and danced to it...I brought the record...yes I brought the 45...good clean fun back then..

  • I agree. We also sanged and danced to it and that was enough for me to ask my dad to plunk down the 75 cents to purchase the 45 vinyl.

  • okay, okay, you brought a slow smile to my face...I paid 75cents for my 45 vinyl also...those were the days...thank God for memories...and thank you for the comment...these wonderful comment are what make you tube..have a great day

  • @P90X490104 It was originally written for J5 but their manager turned it down cause i think they said he said it was too teeny bop or somethng like that.

  • they was nice but its not difficult 2 compare 2 da jacksons ...they are not better den the jacksons but they can sing ...i wish i lived in da 70'z deres 14 of us all 2getha 7 guys 7 girls we couldve had a group back then lmaoo da youngest right now is 15 and the oldest is 44 lol

  • True it is difficult not to compare then to the Jackson 5, and they're all costumed like Elvis. In fact everybody was costumed wild in the 70s--particularly the black groups. The Beatles weirdest period was the 60s.

  • The Beatles' ONLY period was the '60s.

  • You're right of course since they broke up in 1070. I guess i was thinking of them as individual performers after that time. I'll restate that as the period of the wildest costumes for the Beatles was the late '60s around the time of Sgt. Pepper.

  • Two bumped into each other right around 2:00.

  • *Osmonds*

  • I just heard this song on an oldies station and it brought back memories. Donny is now doing "Dancing with the Stars" and a Vegas act as of Oct. 2009. It's impossible not to compare the Osmonds with the Jackson 5 and now 30 plus years later poor MJ is gone. What a shame.

  • My mom was there probably screaming her head off :) I would be too.

  • Did their dad beat them like the Jacksons' dad did?

  • good question, don't think so.

  • they are all amazing dancers and donny is an excilent singer..i wish i was around back then because music today is terrible for teenagers my age all of them have something to do with sex,i wish they sang this stuff..

  • someone commented a long time ago that the Jonas Brothers are going to cover this song.

  • i wish they would but i highly dout that they will:]

  • Comment removed

  • I always loved them and the jackson 5 too!

  • just saying that the new fad is just that... :)

  • let's talk where Donny is and where Micheal is? Dubai? all good fun. Our kids will be having the same conversations about Miley Cyrus

  • Donny will obviously miss Michael J wont he?

Miley was just a twinkle when they became famous in the past. Did Donny go to Dubai as well then? I know Michael went there his brother lives there and has accepted Islam now.

  • what is it about miley cyrus? and what do u mean where donny is did he die or something??!?!?!?!?!?

  • FANTASTIC........xxx

  • the jackson five turned this song down, on the other hand donny turned down ben.

  • Not only do I enjoy their live video's, I really like seeing those tuck n' roll Kustom amps in the backround...I still have mine circa 1968....

  • Thanks for the video.

  • I heard this on an oldies station (before Donny's voice changed) Man he was tearin it up back then. Too bad he only had a couple of years of hitting those high notes.

  • that was painful watching donny, i kinda felt sorry for him. but the ladies still loves him.

  • his voice was going through obvious changes by this point...still a very good job

  • The first year in 1972 I saw them...Now I hear them better...1st time just girls screaming!!! wow!

  • Oh me to 'click' don't even remember much about my first Osmond experience back then too busy screaming, shouting and going totally hysterical over Donny. In Perth in June it was a whole different experience I listened and watched and just swooned over Merrill, Merrill and Merrill.

  • you're ALL SICK.....lol.....growing up back then wasn't really all that bad???

  • All of them are like dreams come true!!!

  • That's music now!!!!

  • I'd give Jay one more chance (ok loads of chances) to make me happy and satisfy me too.

  • And Merrill's really been messing up my mind, he's like a dream come true.

  • From Anna,

    Hi Lyn, Thanks. Anna.

  • One of my favourite clips cause you get to see a tiny little bit of Merrills' chest mmm yum.

  • Oh yeah Merrills chest, now here comes another naughty thought, down girl down lol.
