Personally, what i think is that in the past, games were much better than now because i think now, all everyone wants to do is put the best graphics on games (especially sony). i have a ps3 and i think compared to the 360, that ps3 games have better graphics but worse gameplay. Now, i basicly just play ps1 games on my ps2 and i havent touched my ps3 in 3 months.
I also still keep playing ps1 games purely because of better gameplay. Games like ff9, ff7, quake 2, crash bandicoot, wip3out, mgs, gran turismo 2, and list continues. What kind of games you play?
@keving96 Your completely right! sure, graphics are neat and help emulate the experience, but we have had a lot of games with awesome graphics, but game play less than some of the classics we love. look, I'm not bashing awesome graphics, in fact, awesome graphics are just that: Awesome! but I feel that there is a standard that we have gone above and beyond, that we really don't have to. as long as the graphics are good enough, we should be alright. developers, you don't have to try so hard!

If you had any clue what the fuck you're talking about, you'd know the company made a company collaboration transition from 'Squaresoft' to 'Square-Enix', and they have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, 'firmly stated' that they weren't remaking the game.
There are just way too many hints and small indications and pushes that show that an FF7 remake is inevitable.
Every other Final Fantasy has been remade to fit this age's technology for realism. FF7 is next in line. It's inevitable.

And PS3 is also new-ish. It's been around for a while, but it's still current-gen technology as of this moment and will be for a while.
The fact remains that FF7 is next in line, and with the massive fanbase and what with SE liking their money, it's bound to happen regardless of circumstance.

The thing is though, Nintendo made their Gamecube tech demo of a fight between Link and Ganon with early GC graphics. And we ended up with a late release of Twilight Princess on the GC -and- Wii.
So if there is an FF7 remake on the way, which I firmly believe, it will probably be in the PS3's late lifetime or if there is a PS4 some time in the future, it'll be released on that.
They said the ONLY way that they'd ever make a FF7 remake, is if they had the exact same team working on it as they did with the original. Take from that what you may.
I personaly don't mind the music. I already said on similar video where old FF music was played with FFXIII which has modern-like atmosphere and didn't like it. Square needs to go to the roots and make a setting like early FF, maybe like FFIX IMHO the most underrated FF ever! The reason i liked FF was because flying wooden airships, castles, chocobos, swords, daggers and magic. These new have some of the things but in a whole new setting. Cars highroads and guns is not what I wan't to see in FF

Don't hate me but I preferred 9 over any of them so far. It was such a step away from the moody, emotastic games before it. It was also the first game of the franchise that really felt 'fantasy' to me. (I must say I haven't played 4-6 though so I could be wrong if I can get them.)
9 was the most fun overall, 7 was all about an emo git trying to keep his mind on something else other than cutting himself, 9 had fun characters and a fun story, 12 was good for the new combat system and the story could have used some work, only characters i liked were Basch and Balthier
so if it's a secret how does he or you know then, as i said, the only way we'll ever know for certain is if one of us actually works for square, or until they release the game, (if they do)

Come on! The graphics and the combat system are good, but please don't talk about the characters, most of them have'nt got any charisma (Balthier is ok), and the storyline... Let's just say it could be way better.
The storyline isn't that bad. When my sister beat the game, the concept got a little clearer for me. The charecters are great, if you ask me, and you kinda get comfortable with them after a while. But the part I don't like is the Monsters! (And Bosses!)
Lets just all be quiet for a moment and think about how great final fantasy 7 was when it first came out when you first played it one of the best times..........

we all know that it's an hot, really HOT franchise *yea when I touch FF7 box, I get burned 0.0!*, but microsoft is still a prick to mess with us FF players this way, come on!... *still laughing at how many dics it will need, it being the 360* ok ok, I may go a LIL over board... XD, I bet they have to make the game Downloadable and that you will need 30 + GB HDD to get it XD!, ok enought replying :X!

you can keep ff 13, i'm a 360 and ps2 owner and i think 13 looks like shit (just an opinion)
in my opinion the ps2 is the best console of all time so far, the xbox was shit, the gamecube was decent and i'm not a fan of the ps3 or the wii.
i'm actually becoming quite pissed at the way videogaming is going...i just think of the good old days with my ps2 when a new great title was coming out each fortnight...aah =]

If you had any clue what the fuck you're talking about, you'd know the company made a company collaboration transition from 'Squaresoft' to 'Square-Enix', and they have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, 'firmly stated' that they weren't remaking the game.
There are just way too many hints and small indications and pushes that show that an FF7 remake is inevitable.
Every other Final Fantasy has been remade to fit this age's technology for realism. FF7 is next in line. It's inevitable.

From everything ive read it was just to show what the ps3 was capable of, hence the words "tech demo" and I would really like too see these extravagant, realistic, new age Final fantasy remakes you speak of.

Final Fantasy III for DS
Final Fantasy IV for DS
Final Fantasy V re-released in 'Final Fantasy Anthology'
Final Fantasy VI rumored, but not scheduled
Final Fantasy VII rumored, but not scheduled, however due to the massive fanbase, amount of spinoffs, guest appearances, homages, and the continuation of the series in the FF7 compilation, a remake is inevitable.

extravagant, realistic, new age Final fantasy remakes, I dont think so, they seem pretty last gen too me. I dont really consider DS, GBA and PS1 as the new ages of technology. DS is new-ish but it has horrifying graphics.

True, however, that isn't the point. When they WERE remade, it was considered this-gen technology back then.
And PS3 is also new-ish. It's been around for a while, but it's still current-gen technology as of this moment and will be for a while.
The fact remains that FF7 is next in line, and with the massive fanbase and what with SE liking their money, it's bound to happen regardless of circumstance.

The thing is though, Nintendo made their Gamecube tech demo of a fight between Link and Ganon with early GC graphics. And we ended up with a late release of Twilight Princess on the GC -and- Wii.
So if there is an FF7 remake on the way, which I firmly believe, it will probably be in the PS3's late lifetime or if there is a PS4 some time in the future, it'll be released on that.

I personaly don't mind the music. I already said on similar video where old FF music was played with FFXIII which has modern-like atmosphere and didn't like it. Square needs to go to the roots and make a setting like early FF, maybe like FFIX IMHO the most underrated FF ever! The reason i liked FF was because flying wooden airships, castles, chocobos, swords, daggers and magic. These new have some of the things but in a whole new setting. Cars highroads and guns is not what I wan't to see in FF

Don't hate me but I preferred 9 over any of them so far. It was such a step away from the moody, emotastic games before it. It was also the first game of the franchise that really felt 'fantasy' to me. (I must say I haven't played 4-6 though so I could be wrong if I can get them.)

9 was the most fun overall, 7 was all about an emo git trying to keep his mind on something else other than cutting himself, 9 had fun characters and a fun story, 12 was good for the new combat system and the story could have used some work, only characters i liked were Basch and Balthier

The storyline isn't that bad. When my sister beat the game, the concept got a little clearer for me. The charecters are great, if you ask me, and you kinda get comfortable with them after a while. But the part I don't like is the Monsters! (And Bosses!)

right VII is only a tech demo vid to show the power of the ps3 this video has been out since the development of the ps3 was put to early stages and there will not be any other Final Fantasy other than the 13 series which is nova crystals and verse I have been playing these games for along time and yes they would be good on ps3 but profit wise their would be no point you might aswell buy them on pc (7 and 8 anyway) sorry but its the facts
