prodedgy, I use UPS WorldShip for my business which is a windows only app. This is the ONLY app I use windows for but I need it to run my business. Can windows and OSX print to the same printer? Vitrual PC always had problems with printers and printing. Please let me know if they can share printers or if windows can even print?
you might want to take a look at NRG Software for a UPS Ready Mac OS X shipping solution. it provides full support for thermal prints and digital scales without the need for parallels/windows.
I don't know if that will work. UPS updates there software sometimes twice a week as gas prices change to adjust the fuel surcharge. I have a UPS daily pick up so I think I must stay with UPS world ship software from UPS.
The rates come back real-time from UPS, and even discounted rates are supported. It's a UPS certified solution and is under constant development to add new features based on UPS changes and customer feedback.
I will check it out for sure. So UPS gives them info to do the updates you think? I use Endicia for mac for my USPS shipments and that works great. I use a UPS LP2844 printer to print my USPS lables.
like endicia, it works with the lp2844 via usb. NRG talks direct to UPS for shipping, rates, etc. so unlike Worldship everything is real-time with them. No need for a daily close process, etc.
No end of the day to send the info to UPS... I downloaded the book and will read it over the weekend. It might be a nice option. I use Virtlal PC when I am doing my UPS shipments each day but never really liked Virtual PC.
actually, when you have two os, it will use alot of RAM and at the same time the processor must be very fast. So if you are thinking playing game while running this 2 os at the same time, it will be very slow. So ifyou want to buy computer look at the RAM, processor (whether dual core or not), graphic cards. competiblelity and energy comsumption(if laptops) and lastly price.
That's pretty awesome... Can you do virtualization for basic apps and basic win compatability, and ALSO install XP as a boot camp for gaming? That way you can kill 2 birds with one stone... Anyway, what mac are you using for this test? iMac, mini, MacBook Pro?
The software it's called Parallel Workstation.

It's an Intel iMac. See my other video for the specs.
Yes, both BootCamp and virtualization is possible. Cool, huh!

Not bad at all. Gaming is most likely out of the question though. Which Mac are you doing this on anyways?
