i had the same problem

but got it fixed by of course going to itunes and in caplocks type in GTA then drag your music in and then sync

b4 you boot the game reboot your ipod touch or iphone now boot the game up and go through the settings and making the indie playlist the main radio and it should play!!

I didn't have any problems with my playlist.. Make sure you got capital letters like this: GTA and then just enter your songs in that playlist, drag and drop the playlist onto your iphone or itouch and start the game..

also go to the whiteboard in the safehouse and reaarange the letters on the whiteboard to say loadoa that might make you happy :)
