When I see the strong and beautiful man which sympathizes and helps to weak, thick and clumsy people - I see the Teacher.
Maternal principle to care about the weak - for me the highest on the Earth. Thank you, Klaus , I am enamoured in your life, your talent, in your family, your business.
At 5 years with a *Gypsy* a *Prince* and *The Guardian of the Fire* I thank Mr. Klaus Hempfling for his vision of horse human relationships. I share it and have never had a disheartening moment on this path. I am not very clear in my body movements sometimes still. No matter, I am getting better and they come to me. My *Gypsy* was my 1st horse ever and a stallion when I got him 5 years ago. I used Hempflings principals and he was as respectfull as a stallion then as he is now as a gelding.
I wish I could do more of this with my pony, but she's half-blind so I could only do it from one side. I've done some of the leading exercises with her but the lunging would be really difficult.
A lot of people compare this guy to the avarge NH or even PNH trainer. But there is for sure nothing avarage about this way of being with horses. Hopefully, some day it will be. The door is open and the beauty is that you can choose to walk through it.
I dunno... this kind of control over your movements requires loads of practice and even then, not everyone will be able to do it. I've taught several sports to many people that require a certain awareness of you body that some people just lack. it's simply not there! So to me, this is the ideal way of dealing with a horse, but if you're not capable, there are others, not as efficient, but more reachable. I myself dunno wa I can attain, but I'm doing my best, for the sake of my boys ;)
I agree...he's like the prophet for horse people! :-) It IS very difficult though. We should all seek to be as like Klaus as possible, even if we can't fully master it. He is so amazingly talented!!
I love these videos - as they show so much love and appreciation towards the horse, no matter what they do.
I'm currently 'training' my 7month young stallion Muratah and I must say I recognise *so* much in these videos.
I would say it's even a bit more difficult with a colt, as they are so easily distracted, they have to be handled with so much care, and he expresses himself very very clear.
aye aye! colts are a real headache! but they're soooo responsive and so expressive! I find that of entire males in general: they are the ones who explain themselves to you the best, if you're willing to listen! they hide nothing! That can be dangerous if you're not careful, but it's a blessing in the sense that you always know if you're doing the right or the wrong thing right away! hence you can correct yourself much faster! I can say my colt's taught me loads more than i'll ever teach him!
Kudos! It is inspiring and refreshing to see an enlightened man that acknowledges the magical, spiritual nature of equines and 'connects' with it. I am SO tired of the ignorant, arrogant beliefs of so many involved with equines. Spiritual equals, yet different. I can't adequately express in words what equines have taught me.
Thanks Klaus for helping bring a bit of light into the dark world of human understanding!
Klaus shows us that the responsibility is entirely on the human. We must learn everything we can about our bodies then we can affect the horse. Great job Klaus!
you can tell both man and horse are enjoying the time they spend together :) magical!
