  • This is the greatest video on youtube!!! Thank You!!!

  • I'm getting my first 1911 tomorrow, can't wait to take it apart. Thanks for this video.

  • subed cause of this video

  • Great video learned alot now able to take apart my 1911 apart blindfolded

  • Great video really helped, keep 'em coming!

  • Thxs for this video dude, really helped me disassemble my first RIA 1911!

  • Thanks for the video Pete! You give great info in a clear & consise way. I love 1911's , I shoot best with them. I have and subcompact xd 40, sig sauer 2022, S&W 38special, and kimber & GI 1911. I carried a colt 1911 in the marines 1967, and loved it. Keep up the good work Pete!

  • I thought this video was terrible. He didn't try to make it short like he said. There was a lot of useless footage that didn't need to be included. This was not helpful at all.

  • use needle nose plies to help put the sear disconnect in, worked for me on my first time disassembling and reassembling whole gun :) hope that helps your vid sure did

  • Am I the only one who loves the "got sig?" poster just above the gun? Lol.

  • awesome vid Pete thanks. Ive always always loved the 1911 but the complete take down scared me. Ive watched this vid 2x and now I am very confident Ill be ready to tackle this when I finally get one...

  • i use phone books to smack kids when they misbehave, great vid by the way

  • Nice video. For some reason I decided to do a detail cleaning on my SA and your video made it easy. I had trouble following how you put in the disconnector and sear into the frame. I ended up setting the disconnector in place and then dropping the sear into place and it went together without any grief at all. Thanks for you channel. Keep it up.

  • Can u do a video on how to expertly clean an SA XD? Id like to see how u clean it.

  • Also, what is the process to order a shirt?

  • I have always loved firearms, probably the reason I joined the Marines. I have never owned a 1911. Thanks to your videos I bought a Spingfield Loaded and took it apart the same day using this video. The grease on the sear is a great tip. I now have everything oiled the way I like it and understand the function of the weapon. I have about 350 rounds through it without one malfunction. Springfield is the shit. Thanks Pete.

  • PETE!!!! Im a new 1911 owner and I followed this instructional vid and I was SCARED TO DEATH!!!! that sear thing was a b**ch! In fact things didn't go as smoothly as yours. I did it though thanks to you!! thanks brother

    Rick

  • Pete, I LOVE YOUR VIDS MAN!!! they are full of good info. for a new gun collector like me! my wife bought me my first 1911 handgun. It is the new desert eagle 1911. Very nice gun for the price. Could you pleeaase!! give it a review good or bad?

    Thanks Rick

  • what about using tweezers for putting the sear and disconnect back in?

  • @theARMORYchannel 28:00 i find it easy to slide something thin the from the other side and kinda use that to line them up so i can slide the pin in from above, hope you understand what im trying to say lol =]

  • thank you man, really nice vid and great channel, is really usefull to me for knowing my first gun , grandfather's colt 1911a1... thanks again and greetings from Argentina

  • True, this is the longest vid you've ever uploaded; but it is by far one of your best! Great work man! Keep them coming!

  • new sub, wow thanx for the vids good stuff man but i got a question nobody seems to be able to answere i own a RIA 45acp GI and bought a sarco roto bbl w/compensator for it was doin the bbl swap as i know a lil bout smithin but can't get the pin out for the bbl link can ya help? thanx man keep the vids comin

  • GOOD VID!!

  • Thanks for this vid! I added it to my favorites. I recently bought a springfield 1911 for $300. The person needed gas money so I am pretty sure I got a good deal. He was honest in saying that he put thousands of rounds threw it, and it is beat up to look at it. But for the price I don't mind. It has an idiot scratch on it but oh well. The gun is dated 2009 so I can't image too much carbine but being able to break it down all the way is a plus. Thanks.

  • Great video! Can you do a disassembly video on the series 80 colt?

  • Great video Pete! Very informative and you do a great job of explaining the little details. One thing to point out about the grip screws that viewers may not know. If you use the slotted screws like Pete's instead of a hex (allen wrench) type screw, you can completely disassemble the 1911 with NO TOOLS. You use the sear spring as a screwdriver to take the grips and mag release off. Just a little trick. Great job Pete. Keep the vids coming dude!

  • Holy Shit!, i just got to the "lookof the month" part. I am laughing my balls off!!! Great 1911 strip down video

  • Pete, that was excellent! I really hope I never have to take mine down that far. Just in case...I have you on speed dial:)

  • hey man great video i just picked up a para gi expert and will defininately be studyin your vid before swapping out the shitty plastic trigger thanks again man this vid rocks

  • 11 people are fuckin retarded

  • loved it. greate vid

  • Pete your videos are great . Full of good information.

  • another great vid, dont know what i would do with out it

  • Just purchased a Kimber1911 custom II.

I found your videos thru Google and glad i did.

Past few days ive been watching all your videos

and i have to say ive learn alot . Thank you for doing everything you do in your videos.

  • Great fucking vid Pete.

  • Now that was the most enjoyable 45 mins i've spent in many a moon and it's a shame I live in the UK or I could have as much fun as you Yanks :)

    Great Job!

  • This was a really impressive video, Pete. I really found the complete disassembly fascinating. No need to apologize for the length of the vid...you gave a really thorough look at the process without cutting any corners. Nice!

  • @GenColinBowel most of the new 1911s have that firing pin stop

  • Hey Pete, this has nothing to do with this video, but I was thinking you should entertain the general population with another one of those animation sketches(whatchamacallit). They are hysterical.

  • your GI looks so much better with those grips on it than the grips that came with it.

  • Good job Pete, excellent 1911 disassembly video.

    thanks for posting!

  • Great video pete. Very informative

  • Great video pete. Very informative

  • hey pete i have been looking for a kimber 1911 custom i was wondering what would be your advise for one im like you dude im very visual person i love good looking guns i own a sig p226 and a usp hk 49 thanks dude keep up the great job...

  • I know this vid was probably a pain in the ass but new 1911 owners like myself really appreciate it. This is def the best complete disassembly vid on youtube for this gun.

  • Great vid, I will say I have a buddy of mine who can do this in minutes! He use to tinker w/1911s a ton back in the day. Me? I had one bad experience doing a full disassembly on a Les Baer TRS years ago. I screwed up the spring (bent it somehow) and some of the parts got put in incorrectly. It was an expensive mistake (shot it and realized something was very wrong). I ended up selling the TRS to a gunsmith. I didn't have any reference back then so this vid is gold people!!!

  • Great, great, great video Pete. Excellent detail, excellent explanations - A gift for 1911 owners who aren't totally confident in a total strip down.

  • HEY PETE ! GOOD NEWS!

GOT MY CCW PERMITS FOR NEVADA

AND UTAH 2 days apart !! Issue date,

    DEC 7th..! Cool date .

Waitng for your Next video !!

    H-Nevada

  • you should take th telephone book to the range and have a little fun

  • I appreciate the Vid Pete, amazing job.

  • Awesome....This is a good resource vid for me to learn more on the 1911 platform.

    Informative and entertaining!!

  • Thanks for this video Pete, exactly what I was looking for and in HD!

Wonder how long it took for you to upload this. lol

  • great and very informative. Keep it up Pete! Very much appreciated.

  • kickass vid, Pete. Nice high quality video and you do a good job of showing 'how to'.

I know when I take my TRP apart I will come back to this video. shit ya!

  • those grips do look better Pete!....but i'll leave mine like it is .

  • so many parts! to be honest this is the first time seeing the M1911 being field striped. Thank you for taking time to show us this Pete.

  • BTW, good vid!

  • The look of the month made me laugh...thanks!

  • This is awesome. Thanks!!!!

  • Nice video. I like the lengthy videos because I get the enjoyment of watching longer. I know others don't. But, I do. I hate short videos because I feel like "that's it?" This helped my 1911 knowledge. Being a Glock and Sig guy, this helps me to understand the 1911 better. Thanks.

  • Thank you so much for this vid. I'm thinking about getting a 1911, and this vid gives me a lot more confidence I'll be able to do minor service and thorough cleaning myself. 1911s have a lot more parts and are a little intimidating, you know? But this video is a fantastic reference. Thank you!

  • USE THE TELEPHONE BOOK AS A TARGET!

  • great vid pete!.....LOOKS LIKE IM ABOUT TO FINALLY GET A ARMORY TEE SHIRT! 14150 SUBS!

  • I recently went and checked out some 1911s (yesterday to be exact) and all the ones I tried, the safety was really hard to put up or down, why is this (all the guns were nib)

  • @perkalator104 Maybe because the safties have been moved only a few times? After normal use and light lubrication she should be purring fine... Wait, wasn't that what my old man told me during one of his Man to man talks?!?

  • Whenever I try it the firing pin goes under the furnace

  • You're channel is such a great resource, man. My wife got me a Springfield Loaded for Xmas, and I've learned so much about it by watching your videos. I probably won't be doing a full disassembly anytime soon, but I'm confident I could thanks to you. theARMORYchannel is the shit AND the urine. You're a fine American :)

  • @doctorwainscott as long as you know the slide your fine. and thanks

  • @doctorwainscott hey thank you bro.

  • Dude I just watched OilTheGun's vid on the Springfield 1911A1 Loaded, It was AMAZING!!!

  • @coolbiz1911 that dudes the man!! you guys should sub him!!

  • Where the fuck is "What the fuck is up"?! What the fuck?!

  • pete, your the man, fav'd this one for future reference. who the hell hits the dislike button on these vids? fuck those homos, you are awesome!!

  • @elw619 thank you

  • Great Vid! Did you get a new camera? The picture quality is awesome. Keep up the good work!

  • @danielp59 yup new cam thanks

  • @theARMORYchannel Pete! what do you think about that Chiappa Rhino 357?

  • Great video! It was NOT long...it was thorough. And yeah, the know-it-alls could have done it in 3 minutes flat.

  • @shoeboxjim1 thanks bro

  • Just ordered my first 1911 yesterday. I'll be referring to this video. Thank you.

  • @hansaskatoon make sure its oiled and cleaned before you go to the range.

    its not a Glock. lol

  • I know how to take down a 1911 just about as good as anyone, I still enjoy watching you do it. It was verry well done, and complete.

    Thanks man.

  • all that frame disassembly crap was probly people that didn't have one

  • 9 dislikes....wtf is up these people's asses

  • @rwm87 Looks like 10 democrats watched this video. Awesome video once again Pete. I posted it to my facebook page so my fellow Marines can watch it as well. I love the pic of the dog! LOL!!!

  • Very nice vid. Now I just need a 1911 to practice on.

  • Thanks Pete,great video.

  • Pete, do you run your 1911 wet or dry? I run mine drier than Granny-Snatch.

  • nicely done brotha, i gotta say i would NEVER attempt that shit man, i was scared just watchin u LOLOLOL

  • @GenColinBowel well the kimbers a little diffrent cause there a pin that holds the main spring in.

  • @semiautoriflelover thanks man

  • i don't care if it's long, i haven't watched a 1911 disassembly in a long time but it was a very good refresher, great vid

  • @BALJIT147 thanks bro hope it wasn't to long thoe

  • Hey Pete, thanks for the awesome video! Perfect timing as I'm going to pick up my new Taurus PT1911AL next week (my first 1911). I love your comment about the phone book. We get yellow pages delivered about 4 times a year around here... we even have a freakin Plaid Pages - no lie! Thanks again for the video - I'm stoked! Merry Christmas!

  • @mcekim2 thank you

  • Pete this was a very good video. It will help any 1911 owners.

  • @mgiaco52 thanks bro

  • @mgiaco52 thanks bud give me a call later

  • too cool 4 school

  • WTF!! Is that your rabid Chiwawa? Great video I am new to 1911 just got myself a Para GI expert and I tell you I might be better with it them my 950.00 sig.I like the way it feels in my giant Mandingo hands...

  • @davidcentino That rabid chiuaua is his pocket rat protector. :)

  • Who complains a bout it is to long? Its still to short. An nice hotsexy 1911 strip down. Is never to long! gunporn needs to be long. Just like an good hot women. You need time to warm her up and lubed. And smack it in and shoot until empty.

  • Great job Pete.

  • @mylabsam thanks hope it wasn't too boring

  • When will we see the first: "I wachted Pete completely disassemble and reassemble a 1911 and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" T-shirt?

I'd want one with my first 1911.

  • @Koed00 not sure what u mean?

  • @theARMORYchannel You made something tedious into an entertaining event. I watched the entire thing in one go.I think that deserves a T-shirt.

  • I'm not seeing a drama meter report.

  • @wallanative lol next video. but if you wanna know its in the cool zone.

  • Great job Pete. I have more than a few I would like to reshoot now that I do not have to rush.

  • FYI, The Firing Line 110% copied The Nutnfancy Project's Name tabs that Nutnfancy's has been rockin for more than two years. In ANY of his videos, in replace of his name tab is a "Nutnfancy Project", and several other military name tabs that you can find on anyone of his videos on his LBV, Plate Carrier, Ruck Sack and just about anything else that has a hook & loop set up. I think thats very nice of The Firing Line Channel to send you a name tab (that was ripped off another Gear Reviewer)

  • @HungarianLegionnaire hum didnt know that. well hes just beginning and hes a young kid

  • @HungarianLegionnaire Actually the military has been putting names on these tags for years... for use on LBV and other gear... Which is where Nutnfancy got his idea. If you watch the video on The Firing Line's channel he explains that he gets them made on his base as he's military as well.

  • @KCWes I'm VERRY aware of the fact that the Militaryr uses name tabs; as I AM IN (La Légion étrangère française) French Foreign Legion, My point was ON YOUTUBE, Nutnfancy started the personalized MIL-STD Camo Name Tabs, with either his channel pages name "TNP", him self "Nutnfancy", and "Nutnfancy Project" or "TNP Crew" for his TNP Crew Members. When my Hook or Loop gets "fuzzy" I have my name tabs remade as well. I had also French F2 Camo "TNP" tab made my self.

  • Telephone books are great bullet stoppers. Don't throw them away. Built yourself a bullit proof room :)

  • Lol, me and a friend of mine decided to clean 2 of his friends kimber 1911s and no joke the instruction manual sucks. We took the slide off and tried to disassemble it for about 30 minutes and finnally I said fuck this and looked at a youtube video...we were doing it COMPLETLY wrong lol again fuck that manual! Wish I would have seen this before I left!

  • This is why I sub, great vids with info I can use. Everyones got a shooting vid, no body has this level of info.

Thks for taking the time. Damn now I want to get a 1911

  • Memories lol I had a 1911 like yours Pete, mine was a bull barrel tho.... I love the 1911 look and design but I don't miss the weight and the ammo capacity. Good video man.

  • do wut i do, use the telephone book as target practice !!!

  • Great video!!!! Will help me so much!!!! Maybe you could do one for the xd. ;0). Take care!!!!

  • That was friggin awesome Pete,Il have to admit,I got a (Chubby) watching you do that..That was a real work of art.You will proabbly be getting a call from Springfeild (SA) anyday now as soon as they see this video. They will have you doing this at the factory for them..lol.. I hope not, because we would all hate to lose you on your channel. Please keep up th great work. Man you are the King of Youtubes Gun channel!!

  • Top vid Pete, very comprehensive and informative.

Phone books are only good for one thing these days, shooting the crap out of. =]

We're only supposed to get sent one Yellow Pages a year, but for some reason i got two within a month of each other this year.

Definitely gonna hose one or both of those fuckers at some point when i run out of old boxes. Hurr Hurr Hurr.

  • OTG f'in rocks and he's a heck of a cool guy. One of my top 5s for sure.

  • Until this vid, I didn't have the nerve to take my 1911 apart. I now know that I can get it all back together by looking at this again any time. THANK YOU! Springfield should have a link to this on their website. Have a great Holiday!! J R
