I don't know if you live in Kentucky like myself, but a majority of the people are registered Democrat, yet they have conservative values. Why? Because in local county elections, almost everyone runs as a democrat on the local level. This was just the primary. There are more registered Democrats than republicans, but those who are democrat do not identify themselves with liberal democrats.
