  • btw, officially the Kar98k is the most produced firearm.

  • I hope these guys diffrientiate an assault rifle and semi-auto.

  • sweet man

  • suck my coack ee?

  • The m14 wasn't an assault rifle. It's a battle rifle.

  • these guys are so monotone it's not funny

  • You guys are hot.

  • SAW is specific to the M249. Your RPK actually has a lot of differences with the AK-47. It has a thicker receiver and barrel, extra reinforcements near the barrel trunion and heavier stock. There's also a few differences in the bolt carrier group.

  • The bit where they were showing the metric measurements for the AK round, 7.62x39 means the diametre of the bullet and the length of the casing, its not the whole length of the cartridge.

  • The "AK-47" in the video is a an "AKMS". just cause it looks vaguely like an AK-47, doesn't mean it is.

you can tell its has AKM in its title and not just AK by the receiver mainly. AKM's will have a smaller indent on the side of the receiver located above and to the back of the magazine well. AKM's also has stamped receivers and not milled. AK-47's have that same indent, but it is much larger. it starts half way through and above the magazine well, and goes up to the hand guard.

  • Actually an assault rifle is a rifle that fires an INTERMEDIATE rifle cartridge and is select fire with a detachable magazine. If you are talking a long range round, such as the .308, then you are talking about a BATTLE RIFLE not an ASSAULT RIFLE FRIEND

  • Sounds like "Heckler and C(r)otch".... These people don't know how to spell the word, but they are making a documentary about it.

  • what are you talking about? the term assault rifle is a word that was made up to scare voters into voting on gun legislation! just like high capacity magizines! gun owns have scince began to use the terms themselves! i own sporting rifles(ar 15, fn fal, 10 22) and normal capacity magizines (some hold over 50 rounds) i dont own assault rifles!!

  • stop calling them assault rifles!!!!!

  • Whoops,

     AR-15 not an Assault Rifle.

  • yes it is. its a semi auto assualt rifle, it still fires a intermediat round

  • @daonejorge

An assault rifle is any firearm that is in fully automatic.

A gun store in my area sells bolt rifles in .223

.223 is what is commonly used in the AR15 rifle.

Does that mean those bolt rifles are Assault rifles. no

  • the .223 is NOT what the ar-15 uses, it CAN use them, the commen misconception is that the 5.56x45 is the same as the .223 but you ever wonder why a 5.56 weapon can shoot a .223 but a .223 cant shoot a 5.56 its because they slightly differ. somthing they wont explain in this video because thay dont know shit. sorry man you had a great idea but your information was mis informed.

  • o yeah and haha i win

  • @daonejorge

How can the round make the gun an Assault Rifle?

so If I put a 5.56 in a bolt rifle it is an Assault Rifle.

The round has nothing to do with it.

    Full-auto= Assault weapon

    semi= sporting weapon

  • well naturaly you have to decide on what deffinition you are going to go by, the US goverment defines a Assault rifle as a semi auto or selective fire weapon that chambers any type of intermediate round and features a pistol grip and can accept magazines that hold more than ten rounds, the other deff, is a select fire weapon that uses intermediate rounds and used detatchable magazines.

you know nothing kid. a full auto FN SCAR isnt a assualt rifle because it shoots .308's its a battle rifle

  • @daonejorge

So my 10/22 is an Assault rifle if I put a pistol grip on it.

So the M9 that holds a standard magazine of 15 rounds is an Assault pistol.

The US government does not count a semi auto weapon as an Assault weapon, only a few states count a semi auto weapon as an assault weapon CA, NJ, NY, MASS, and a few others

  • DUMB FUCK!!! you dont learn, it HAS TO HAVE a intermediate round. your a stupid fuck! the goverment recently lifted the assualt ban which covered what i said in my last comment, i study law at a college level, i know this shit

  • @daonejorge

Because Im such a DUMB FUCK, please tell me what is a intermediate round?

    thanks

  • a intermediate round is basically a full sized rifle round cut down in size in some cases compacted down to size like the 7.62x39, it was compacted from the 7.62x54 russian round

  • for daonejorge...

You "study law at a college level"... who gives a flying fuck... You are an arrogant prick... You have a little knowlege on a topic and you think you can be an asshole... Probably some loser law school or just pre-law or something... You sound like an idiot and you are definitely a jerk...

Do not have to be smart or dumb.... I really could care less. I hate jerks and arrogance. Just answer the question or do not answer it and just go away.

  • @michnguyen17 first off fucker you wernt in our convo so mid your own shit, 2nd off all i was doing is making my point, which is fact if yuou cant handle it get off of youtube, and if ur gonna represent michigan dont be a cry baby

  • @livinthegoodlife101

    Assault rifle definition;

Self loading, box magazine fed, rifle light weight infantry weapon firing and intermediate round.

machine guns are full auto too, but they're not assault rifles.

  • An Assault Rifle is a weapon type that fires an intermediate cartridge.

  • @livinthegoodlife101

If a selective fire rifle chambers an intermediate cartridge (5.56x45, 5.45x39, 5.8x42, 7.92Kurz, 7.62x39, etc): it's an assault rifle.

    eg. M16 series, AK series, SCAR-L, HkG36 series, Hk416.

if it fires a full powered rifle cartridge (7.62x51or 54, 7.92x57, etc) with the same capabilities of an assault rifle; it's a battle rifle.

eg. FN FAL, HkG3 and 417, SCAR-H, and the M14. some WW2 semi/bolt action rifles were also called battle rifles at the time.

  • @livinthegoodlife101

If it fires a pistol cartridge full auto; it's a submachine gun.

If it fires a high velocity/armor piercing (not required), pistol sized cartridge, while maintaining a low profile; it is a Personal Defense Weapon.

PDW usually fire bottle-necked rounds like the FN 5.7x28mm or Hk 4.6x30mm. PDW may also use +P or +P+ (overpressure) ammunition like those chambered in the PP-2000 (9x19mm 7N21 +P+, 9x19mm 7N31 +P+).

  • the 39mm refer to the length of catridge isn't?y in thr include the projectile?

  • How else would you know the diameter of the rounds. Many rifle cartridges share lengths with other cartridges.

  • 39mm is the case length not including the projectile.

  • actually, the inspiration for the m16 wasn't the ak, but the area of vietnam itself. the wood on the m14 would swell from humidity and make the rifle inacurate, so they made the m16 out of metal and plastic to solve the problem. they also used a smaller calibre round because it could still pack a punch while being able to carry more ammo with less or about the same weight.

  • 2:07 - Heckler and KAATCH??? Jeez... OK, well, I guess the Germans slip up on a lot of English words too... Fair trade, I guess... =P

  • its pronounced Coat right?

  • Comment removed

  • its pronounced coat right?

  • does any one know if i can legally own one of these in the state of Virginia?

  • Absolutely legal, though there is a lot of paperwork and cost involved. You need to become "Class 3" Federally Firearms Licensed (FFL) in order to legally own fully automatic weapons.

  • your best bet is to just get your class 2 license and just convert semi autos to full auto. Its cheaper

  • and illegal

  • No, thats what the class two liscence is for. If you have your class 2 you can legally convert semi autos to full auto.

  • how much would it cost though? (i heard somewhere it's like $500 a month for a class 3)

  • Id go with class 2. Class 2 is an nfa manufactuer license. Where you can make semi autos full auto. and its much cheaper than buying a full auto gun.

  • I guess it's too late to say the M-14 technically isn't an Assualt Rifle due to it's chambering, but as you guys say you learn as you go.

  • It's COKE, Heckler and COKE is how it's pronouced. Please get it right. Pronouncing it wrong seems to be a common thing with gamers.

  • This correction is made in a later episode. Keep watching episodes and you'll see. - Yes we are just gamers - learn as we go.

  • That's good. Being a big fan of the Rainbow Six series myself I always pronounced it as it appear (cotch). After actually buying an H&K pistol I was corrected on the pronunciation many times, so it's kind of become a pet peeve. lol

Really good thing you're doing here though. Hopefully this will get more gamers interested in real firearms. The more the merrier. Keep up the good work.

  • gamers AND people who don't speak german

  • I dont know why peole cant seem to graso how koch is pronounced. If i had a nickel for everytime some said cock instead of coke or said clip instead of mag id have a shitload of nickels

  • hehe... heckler and Koch = Heckler and COCKh... not coke its not a cocacola product

  • Yea cock, like a dick, right? Right don't you call up Heckler and COCK USA and ask them how it's pronounced. See if they don't laugh you off the phone when you make a penis reference while incorrectly pronouncing the name.

  • Right, im also guessing you dont know Heckler and Koch is actually german, yes they do have a USA division, its not like COCK, or COCKY like you, notice its an H in the end of what i wrote.

its not Coke and not COTCH , Koch. and its not "CH" like in Chicago. Cokh = is it easier to understand then? . Im from Europe, we learn german in school, ive handled HK MP5s and HK G3, We use only HK small arms in the army here, my language is a germanic language. So why dont you call them up in germany:)

  • Well, they have this sound even in english, do you know Scottish lake "Loch Ness"? the pronounciation of "CH" is exactly the same as in Koch.

  • exactly ! :-)

  • well the english language is derived from germanic and french languages

  • @k2blades540 XD people say heckler and cock. :D XD

  • @k2blades540 it's actually pronounced Heckler and COCK not COKE

    you should get it right

  • @k2blades540 You version is just as wrong.

I'm german, and it's rather Heckler and Chogh

  • what about the SA80

  • A little TOO basic, perhaps?

  • lol this show is perfect for gamers who want to know how realistic their games are.

gun are so fascinating to me. how little changes can make a gun completely different. its awesome

  • Good job playing music instead of letting us hear what the "experts" are saying.

  • I guess you didn't catch the fact that this is a preview of episodes to come - there are many more episodes to see. Just click the link/button that says "More from: perryassault" to see what the experts say.

  • i stil don't know how a Assault Rifle work??

  • it works the exact same way as any other weapon, only diffence is that they usually use the recoil (gas from the explosion of the cartridge) (bullet) to load another round and then the firing pin is made to strike immediately instead of from another trigger pull. Really simple.

  • I guess you didn't catch the fact that this is a preview of episodes to come - there are many more episodes to see. Just click the link/button that says "More from: perryassault" to see what the experts say.

  • Gotta give credit to a couple gamers admitting to their lack of knowledge, and trying to become more educated. Good Video!!

  • NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • except for the fact thats its undeniably one of the toughest guns ever produced

  • Its just very reliable and easy to disassemble and clean. its accuracy is not good it very flimsy barrel jerks with every shot. but it is so easy alot of countries use it. but not very accurate.

  • i don't necessarily agree, compared to the u.s. ar, 15 no its not as accurate, but thats not to say its an inaccurate gun. at 100 feet with iron sights (notoriously bad)i can get 4" groups, with a red dot that becomes 2" or less with fairly rapid shots. past 500 yards and ar is the way to go, but most urban firefights happen at a much closer range than that and the AK's stopping power is far superior, so much so us solderers in Iraq like to carry an ak they acquire over there own ar.

  • Ok as i will then say FUCK THE AK47!!! i choose accuracy over power any day except for building clearing i would have the new full auto shotgun. And long range the new Barret .50 It might be well rounded for wide range of things. but i would never pick an AK47 over a good M4 Carbine. But you might have alot of expertise with you're weapon you know were it shots and can make up for it. if another great shooter used it i dought they would be as good because there aren't use to the gun you use.

  • yes im sure you would Pertra21

i bet you would walk over healthpacks and hit the F2 key to power up if you got shot also.

the best rifle is the one that fires EVERYTIME.

now go back to your XBOX

  • To stop "jerking" all you need do is attach a compensator and don't use the word "flimsy" with an ak47, one good whack on an m16 and you can say adios, an AK on the other hand can be run over by 2 ton trucks and still operate, so lets be a little more acurate k?

  • Someone that associates flimsy with AK, doesn't know much about the AK.

  • at around 1:53, aren't bullets loud as hell? i've been around pistols being shot and the cops who were shooting the range said, cover ur ears, and he had earmuffs.

  • Sterling had ear plugs in when he shot. Always wear ear protection when firing a firearm. The camera mic however wasn't wearing protection - ;)

    -Perry

  • lol but in movies they always balance sound

  • Cotch haha that's cute I'm glad you didn't try to say Kalashnikov

  • it's pronounced 'koh' not crotch!

  • iv heard pll pronouc it "Cock" or "KOK"

  • The Koch family pronounces it like "Coke".

  • great idea are you on cable or just here?

  • Here and iTunes. Small budget show . . .

    Basement operation.

  • thanks i went to the site..interesting idea good luck!

  • the m-16 was aready made

  • huh?

  • Experts..and they even don't know how to spell Heckler & Koch!

  • they actually announced at the beginning that they are not experts, so u sir are retarded

  • 35 years old...US-citizen.... :) ..and for sure "everybody is retarded". If they want to explore the world of these guns, they should first of all LEARN something about it in literature. Another thing is, that the 7.62mmx39 cartridge is not 39mm long, but the lenght of the shell is 39mm...but as usual they just go shooting...knowledge was never the most interesting think to US-firearm-fanatics ;)...

  • I have an AK and an AR. They both have their advantages.

  • after watching some of your videos i'm glad i bought an ak47 rather than an ar15.. check out weapons wednesday at libertytreeradioDOT4mgDOTcom

  • ak-47

  • M16 oooooooooooowns!!!

  • ak47 kicks asssssssss sizle baby

  • LOL, your right

  • I am a little concerned the way *Buck* is looking at *Perry*.

  • Actually I meant video games.

  • ...... go shoot urself. guns iin video games r nothin like real guns.

  • I really only searched this because i was curious about game rifles too.

  • game rifles as in hunting rifles? what kind of animal?

  • Hes probably talking about videogames

  • cool did ur partner serve also?

  • did u serve english speaking?

  • Anaheim California and then Spain Seville. 75 to 77

Shhhh - don't let anyone know what were talking about.

So its been like 30 years since I used Spanish.

  • All original AK47's are designed to be full auto.....they are not illegal, just very very expensive and require an ATF tax stamp.

  • they are also most efficient as a machine gun rather than a real assault rifle.... its so inaccurate, and along with that, the fire mode switches are set up as what a machine gun would be like, unlike the m-16 where it goes from safe, semi auto, auto

  • where's the rest of this video??? don't leave me hanging

  • lemme get it straight the AK-47 has a stock and is semi-auto if the AK-47 is automatic it is an illegal so most ak-47 are semi auto the automatic ak-47 is the ak_47s wich is banned just to get that straight

  • what happens when you shoot the AK-47 with out the dust cover.

  • love it

  • Wow not bad guys keep it up

  • great show guys, awesome

  • Good Job!

  • very professionaly made video

  • i love theys type of vids on tv and on the web

  • awesome show guys!

  • This is like Uncle Jimbo's TV show from Southpark, lol.

  • yeah but waht current milled brand aks are out there ?

  • ya wtf

  • I know they said they aren't experts and all, but this video is clearly a huge waste of time. A bunch of things they said were incorrect, viz. that the M16 was invented because of the AK47 in Vietnam - totally incorrect. The M16 was a broad modification of the M14. Calling the HK "cool" is seriously silly.

  • Do more research the m16 is not a modified m14 at all they are totally different weapons. But you are correct that the US did not invent it because of the ak.

  • Theres a video on here that shows how Stoner modified the m14 to create the m16. Maybe some of the parts are original, but some of the M16 is for sure just a modified m14 style rifle. For instance, the buttstock of the M14 was straightened to make the sleek and straight M16. Now, you are probably right in that I'm oversimplifying, but there's a kernel of truth in what I'm saying I think.

  • No the m14 is a modified m1 garand the m16 was a brand new design of its time. If you dont believe me due the research.

  • "Compare M14 with M16" watch that video on here...

what are they leaving out? They changed the action a little? The Browning M14 has 750 RPM rate of fire. Just as good as an AK... and pretty much similar to the m16. If you're gonna say they altered the M16's firing system so it jams more, I dont see how ur pointing out innovation. U'd be pointing out a flaw. So what are you saying exactly is diff? It has plastic??

  • From what I see and knowing about weapons and history myself they are just compairing. The m16 was invented by an aircraft designer who new nothing about other weapons. They got it wrong. Watch modern marvels m16. They speak about the whole thing. 5 different segments though.

  • the history channel makes a lot of mistakes. I have a degree in history, and I have seen countless crap and wrong stuff on there. Anyway, I'm not saying they're wrong, I'll check it out. In the video I told you to watch, they say, specically, on the Eugene Stoner scene, that he was specifically modifying the M14 rifle. No guesses about it for them. I'll check out MM.

  • Several of their history shows about machine guns are more communist propaganda, saying basically "wherever there is war, it's because people are fighting over possessions/wealth" I was amazed the 1st time I noticed this. Why would you interview Noam Chomsky and Oliver Stone for a machine gun documentary? I mean, get serious!

  • M16 has had 40 yrs to work the bugs out, and it's still WAY behind an AK for a serviceable field piece. Especially when you look at the .223 AK variants. I love .223 for distance. I love 7.62 for shear penetrating and stopping power. Want proof? *You can legally hunt deer and elk with an AK, illegal for .223.

  • M-16 and AR-15 achiles heel(s) is the very tiny gas tube, pin-size ports on the ejection side of bolt. Unburned gas residue easily clogs the ports, blocking the slide of the piston. It's easy enough to clean, but if you forget and the other guy has an AK..he'll win every time.

  • 1st off, you would have to be at least mildly retarded to 'forget' to clean your weapon.

2nd The gas tube issue can be resolved by piston upper recievers.

  • Minimum caliber to hunt deer in my state is remington .243. Second, I have an AK-223 that is JUST as accurate as my wife's Colt AR-15. (SAIGA). I can hit pop cans past 200 yrds with open sights. SAIGA works fine on cheaper ammo, AR is high dollar brass only. Third....I paid $1200 for the Colt, $245 for the Saiga. Oh, and while u r cleaning your AK holding enemy is blasting your head off.

  • I have fired more than 5,000 rounds of ammo through the Saiga .223 with occasional oil only, just to see if it is as reliable as everyone says. IT IS THAT MUCH and MORE! If I don't clean my wife's Colt AR-15 every 500, it jams nonstop.

  • I have Fired 1500 rounds of wolf ammo through a stock Bushmaster in one day with no jams. Maybe you have a lemmon AR or its an A1 series, other than that I have trouble believing jamming.

  • My wife is still military. I've repeatedly asked her to sell her Colt AR, due to it's unreliability. She says she needs practice unjamming her M-16 for the next time she goes to Iraq. However, she also said many fellow soldiers preferred captured AKs because 40 yrs later, M-16s STILL...are notorious for jamming. *One assigned to me was a piece of shit. Lucky I never went into battle with it.* Colt's better at greasing pockets than building a good working rifle.

  • While I can't speak for colt, my Bushmaster is totally reliable. I have a couple of friends in the sandbox, and they say as long as they keep it clean it doesnt jam on them. Most of the stories I have heard of captured AK's were either para trooper or pistol versions that are easier to use in vehicles.

  • Remington .243 is not a caliber. As I said before AK's are inherently less accurate than AR's. I can fire lacqured steel ammo in my AR without a problem. If you can hit pop cans past 200 yrds open sights you're getting MOA to sub MOA groups, better than many people can shoot with optics. I have a hard time believing that. Don't get me wrong though, the AK is a good rifle.

  • I got a sharpshooter metal in basic, w/o my glasses. (sweat was fogging them up). Does that count? I prob would have made expert with my glasses, I was off by one. These new AK variants are a brand new ball game. Especially .223 caliber. My bad, I meant "243 winchester." That is the smallest caliber deer can legally be taken with in Idaho. No matter, I use my 1898 30-40 Krag as a hunting rifle. AK and ARs are plinkers and home defense.

  • IMO its alot easier to hit silhouettes like they do in basic than to shoot sub MOA. The fact that you actually hunt with a 30-40 kraig brings you up a notch in my book though.

  • If you ever make it to Idaho, I'll hafta take you shooting sometime. It's easy to brag, lots of people do. *But I can actually shoot better w/o a scope, than with one.* As for Krags....they out-performed 52 other rifles to become US issue. Quite a feat. The 30-40 was replaced by the 1903 Springfield, (due to 100-200 yds more range, 2,000 yds max). It's not any more accurate than the 30-40, just shoots farther. 1903 was sniper weapon of choice for over 60 yrs by military. Quite a feat.

  • Alright, gimme a holler if you're ever in Oklahoma. The '03 Springfield is a cool rifle, I have been looking to pick one up to complement my Garand.

  • you can legally put a deer down with a .22 hornet, but that doesn't mean that it is an adequate caliber! Yes an AK is more reliable dirty due to the looser manufacturing tolerances. These same tolerances make tha AK inherently less accurate than the ARs.

  • good idea

  • when will you americans finaly understand that no weapon is cool or fun. they're just killing machines !

  • STFU! That's why you have one of the highest crime rates. Moron...

  • We have black people

  • "when will you americans finaly understand that no weapon is cool or fun. they're just killing machines !" --

They're power. When the people have them, the people have power. When only the gov't has them, the gov't has the power. Simple as that.

A society where only the gov't has power is called tyranny. That's how it is, skippy.

  • Well said shipple!

  • Not true at all a weapon, is neither good nor bad it is just a tool. if you were to run down a person with a car is it the cars fault is the car evil? guns don't kill people people kill people. That's how it is, skippy

  • "Not true at all a weapon, is neither good nor bad it is just a tool" --

Sure, but it is also power. It is a means to control another. If only one class of people have this power (e.g. gov't), they will dominate.

As Jefferson said: "When the peopel fear the gov't, there is tyranny. When the gov't fears the people there is liberty."

  • btw, if you want real power, ditch the wussie M16 and go with an Ak-47 or something good like that. That whole argument about needing more medics vs body carriers for dead ppl is moot when ur not fighting an army.

  • Tell that to your British soldiers beating preteen boys with batons.

  • you guys said heckler and koch wrong, the c is silent in german saying

  • H&K makes excellent rifles. Alot of them are on the forefront of rifle technology.

  • heckler & kotch might make cool guns.

    but do they work good?

  • Seems to be an interesting channel, subscribed. Keep this up!

  • Mwaa ha ha ha haaaa

  • Make sure you continually emphasise that these firearms require a Federal Registration and License and are totally banned in some states Illinois for example.

  • They said specifically that they wouldn't involve politics, just how they work. But agreed, we don't want some gamerfreak going out and getting himself killed by (mis)handling a weapon without a proper license and rego "coz he thought it looked cool from a podcast thing"

  • Hold on

these rifles are not banned in IL. Alot of folks own them in IL. Myself included.

  • Full Automatics Are Banned in Illinois by State Law. Only semi automatics are legal and SB16 is attempting to stop that.

  • you not saying you are for SB16? Alot of folks have been stopping that since 2000. Hope your part of the team that is.

  • I am totally opposed to SB 16. It is a virtual ban on semi automatic long guns coupled with a magazine prohibition of all mags over 10 rounds that can get you "life in prison if you own 4 magazines".

  • Full automatics are illegal in just about every state in the US unless you jump through crazy hoops of fire and background checks, pay a bunch of money, have an expensive pre-ban gun, the list goes on and on. In short, no person ignorant of firearms can just walk into a gun store and buy a fully automatic gun, period.

  • Illegal is the wrong word to use restricted is the right on to use. It is obtainable just difficult. Illegal means non obtainable.

  • Point taken, GET BEHIND ME DEVIL!

  • FA weapons are legal in 37 states IIRC. To buy them you need the cash then fill out the ATF form, get is signed by local law enforcement, and included finger prints and a photo. Send that to the ATF with the $200 tax and wait. Once it gets back approved you can take home your MG!

  • I mean *Vietnam*

  • What was that about Vietman?

    Its a great country!

  • You could have a conversation about why the shooter of the M14 anticipatied the recoile of the shot. Explain the causes both physological and mental ,explain fatigue, complications, and solutions for understanding and correcting this reflex. Forgive my spelling

  • When we get into the history of the assault rifle, that would be a good idea - thanks for the idea!

  • awesome i have a working replica that doesnt shoot a projectile and these will give me ideas of what looks good to put on it.

  • 5 stars, gotta love the pronouncing of koch..
