  • "Mortally wounded in the line of duty!" Wow, I love the 80's when R-Rated movies could be adapted into Saturday morning cartoons. lol

  • The Eighties: a magical time when even the most violent and darkly satirical of films could have child-friendly cartoons made out of them.

  • I remember wanting to be robocop as a kid. T

he idea of being mortally wounded doesn't sound so hot anymore though ....

  • LOL Whats next? Scarface?

    I want a Scarface cartoon now. D=

  • HAHA does mortally wounded on this cartoon mean geting blasted by a thousand bullets to the chest and legs, losing your arm, getting your hand blasted by a shotgun, getting laughed at by the saying "WELL GIVE THE MAN A HAND" then shot in the head?

  • True story is that this cartoon was originally too violent for kids. So they changed the real guns into red-pink laser weapons.

  • @MiniMackeroni I find it funny that switching them from ballistic projectiles to flesh-searing energy weapons somehow makes it o.k.

  • @ig88bc My guess it that flesh-searing energy weapons are nowhere near as accessible to kids. Kids could get their hand on a gun.

  • I wonder if the animated version of Clarence Boddicker shoves factories up poeples' stupid whoop asses, so hard they shit snow fopr a year... just wonderin'

  • Hurray for an animated version of Clarence Boddicker!

  • XD!!!

  • wow, he can spin his gun with closed hand

  • I heard Murphy got transferred to the Cyberpolice, Backtracing Division.

  • "Bitches Leave!"

    Y'know, for kids!

  • Loved this cartoon!! Classic!

  • By the way the secuel for this 12 episodes series was good as well ,its called : robocop alpha comando and tells the story of the terminator(sorry i meant ''robocop'')five years after this series...you should take a look to the opening...

  • it looks amazing ,good times for tv

  • Well... It was the '80s. If this series would had been made in this time and age, probably all those hipocrates that say "save the childre" would probably march in order to ban this tv seres. Damn. It was awesome, tv series. Brings back good old memories. Not long ago, I found the Robocop helmet I used to have as a kid, based on this tv series.

  • I wouldn't buy this for a dollar...

  • I hate how the Intro changes Murphy's death. The movie is way better, but then it is market to kids.

  • I find it funny that they'd make a cartoon for kids based off a movie that was supposed to be one of the most violent movies of the 80's.

  • they did the same thing with rambo

  • @thrashmetalfiend EVERYTHING got a cartoon or tie-in, regardless of the original content. And it's not like the base idea is unsuitable for TV-as Robocop the Series proved again much later.

Now things like Rambo the Cartoon, where they change the premise so completely it's something different entirely...

  • @thrashmetalfiend Just look at Toxic Crusaders.

  • ROBOCOP IS THE BEST FUCKERS

  • and the blood?

  • 0:13 WHERE'S THE HEADSHOT?

oh wait tthis is the kiddie version.

  • i loved this cartoon when i was a kid but it was on really early. i remember i had to wake up super early if i wanted to see it. but one morning i woke up and it wasnt on they cancelled it :(

  • As a big robo fan, i love this cartoon. The soundtrack for this intro is awesome.

  • I could have sworn the narrator says "robotic farts" at 0.17

  • ha ha ha yes , he said that!!!

  • @Rookiewill HAHA, yes.

  • wounded? did the cartoon not mention he got his hand blew off and tortured for the Police used his body to create a robot cop without his families permission?

  • haha that would shut the little shits up for a while!

    :D

  • also lol at 0:12

cartoon version of Red Foreman XD

  • ftw!

  • Chlarence Boddicker is so ugly :D

  • ha! they drew out Clarence Boddicker

  • I didn't know there was a cartoon! Cool!

  • I used to watch this

  • ledge

  • We need lots of robocops to replace our troops in mid east XD lol lol

  • it was nice when I was a kid. now it's just corny. like 90% of 80s cartoons.

  • yeah,,, it was a good cartoon, :-< i miss it.

  • omg i didnt know they had a cartoon show for robocop LOL. kinda reminds me of the ghostbusters one.

  • I love the Robocop movies and this cartoon!!!..

I watched for first time when I was 4 or 5 years.. Murphy´s death marked me.Why they have to kill him like that... god it´s worst than a horror movie.

  • Too bad this series only lasted for a few months. It was actually pretty decent.

  • Oh Robocop, what the fuck they did to you my friend.

  • I don't know if you guys agree but, when I was a kid and watched this show, I thought that RED STRIPE on his helmet EXTEMELY RIDICULOUS and always made RoboCop look like an idiot! Do you agree? Now why they did that?

  • maybey to show he was switch on

  • aah memories.

  • Uhh...wasn't Robocop an R-rated film?

  • The original movie was unrated in the USA due many cuts (same happened in most countries). However, the cartoon and even the 1994 spin-off TV series were heavily toned down to apply for broader audiences.

  • why did they cancel this series anyways ?

  • Badass. proof of the good ol days.

  • how comes they were ginger in the cartoon?

  • Sounds like the A-Team.

  • nothing like aN R rATED movie getting marked to kids

"you c*ck S*cker! i work for DICK JONES!!!! DICK JONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • "Alright I surrender"

"I'm not arresting you anymore Clarence"

"Now wait a minute..WAIT A MINUTE GODDAMN IT!!

Aren't you taking this a little personally?!?"

  • lmfao, amazingly true.

  • @chiissu The cartoon has nothing R rated. And of course Kids will grow up to be adults! so they will watch the movie then!

  • I heard that there would be a remake of the original RoboCop film. When that comes out, I'll definately see that. And, I'll bet that the actor that would play the villain, Clarence Boddicker, would wear glasses like Kurtwood Smith did in the original. Who all agrees?

  • I prefer Pob and Bobocop.

  • I like how they re-created Murphy's death. No prolonged torture here. They just sneak up on him and blast him to death.

  • I like how they even drew out Clarence Boddicker

  • He looks just like how he appeared in the 1987 film!

  • I almost totally forgot that this show existed

I watched this over 10 years ago

  • They made a TV show out of this?

    Didn't expect that one.

  • This was actually a very good cartoon.

  • indeed it was.

  • good job the kids didn't have to see murphy get wasted.

  • adorava este desenho

  • Robocop 4 is COMING!! with the same producers from Robocop 1 and 2 !!!

  • it's going to start all over again like batman begins

  • I don't give a fuck! i love Robocop! Paul Verhoeven! make it perfect!! as Robocop 1 and 2 pleasssseeeee

  • poor murphy but it doesn´t matter now he is Robocop.

  • There was a cartoon?! God damn. It's not exactly a movie made for kids...

Speaking of which, I remember having a Robocop toy. Huh.

  • The Robocop movies where rated R... Not the 3rd one, that one was lame.

  • and the kicker is the first one was damner rated X

  • this only ran in 1988 right?

  • sweeeet

  • ohhhh shiitttt i used to watch this xD

    good memorys

  • félig ember félig gép mindenestül zsaru

  • R rated movie turned into a cartoon lmao...also if you listen to commentary of part 1 dvd he was a visionary

i.e peter weller was like jesus when he got pelted full of bullets you suppose to feel sorrow and aadness.....after part1 or minimum part 2 EVERTHING assocated with the movie stunk

tv series, and part 3 which had some bad actor

p.s i never knew there was a cartoon aswell XD

  • They did the same with Rambo too. The 80's were better times!

  • "hanzo138", agreed 80s were better, but still don't wanna see my childhood fave movie turned into a lame cartoon cartoon. Its like gi-joe cartoon, so pointless, just created to market their merchandise more.

however with millions of dollars i could guarantee you i'd make the best 'terminator vs robocop' movie EVER

"Mans last hope thinks like a man and thinks like a machine, because his part man part machine...he is ROBOCOP"

'don't move creep'.....now in cinemas XD

  • why do they make gay cartoons of amazing movies...

  • Damn! I remember that old Cartoon, it was the shit back then! Good times... Yes, good times

  • Everyones favorite cop, amirite?

  • Swiftknife.

  • totally 80s XD

  • Robocop cartoon was the shit back in the 80's, man i miss those times watching this.

  • wow that brings me back i msis thoes day

  • I remember watching this show at least once.

  • I sure did remember seeing this cartoon. That was really odd showing Clarence Boddicker in that cartoon episode since Robo killed him in the movie.

  • huh.. I never knew there was a animated version.. Just saw the moviez as a kid =D!

  • Not bad but not much better than "Cyborganizer" from "The Simpsons".

  • what... I remember a cartoon but not like this one.

  • Wow, a hyperviolent 80's flick...now a kids toon!

  • DETROIT, THE NEAR FUTURE.

  • damn, I remember that cartoon... did a really good job keeping the robo genre intact.

  • What year(s) was this cartoon series around???

  • 1988-1989 on the syndicated program called the Marvel Action Universe.

  • The animation sucked!! They had Robocop looking like a cyclops!

  • didn't remember seeing the cartoon except the movie

  • I dont remeber there being one either. we were watching TMNT too.. lol.. or garfield

  • wow tht looks amazing!

  • I don't remember there being a cartoon neither. I guess I was too busy watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back then.

  • Big fan of 80's toons. But never remember a Robocop cartoon. Looks interesting tho.

  • A childhood memory I have with fondness.

  • wtf!! i dont recall the robocop cartoon lol..

good god where was I then haha!

  • WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!?! I was born the year robocop was produced and saw the movies later when i was old enough, but I NEVER remember there being a cartoon.

  • The cartoon came along in the 90's I remember wathcing it with my little brothers.

  • Actually, it first came out in 1988.

  • Good ol' Robocop.

  • Hahahaha. "Mortally wounded" He was owned.

  • lmfao man got pwned!

  • It was a kid's cartoon. What do you expect?

  • wtf

  • WOW!!!

  • Robocop rules!!!

  • Argentinos culiaos

  • watch AD Police Fil 3

  • no one has a camera in their eye benhind their pupils.

    retards.

  • u can tell the cartoon is less violent when he got brutally shot in the robocop movie

  • If you have eve read Frank millers Robocop. You will see tat it actually sucks much more than the finished movie. The Robocop 2 movie was a major improvement. Millers script contained all the things that sucked about the movie.

  • Right. The rest of the faults in Robocop 2 were excusable. The whole

Goodguy/Badguy thing made the movie unlikable. Like the writers betrayed us. The change gave the comic book writers a real headache. Oldman is Robocops ally in all pre R2 comics and cartoons, and against him , for no logical reason, in comics post R2. In the live action TV show Oldman was greedy but basically on Murphys side.

  • Right .Old Man was a goodguy in the first movie. The film ends with Robocop saving him. Then he asks him the same thing Lewis got in trouble with Morton for. The only villain at OCP is Dick Jones whos tied to the mafia. The execs like Jones & Morton dont like the old man because they are greedy and think he is old fashioned & will bankrupt the company with his dream of a crime free city.

Jones is getting payolla from Clarence to establish his gang in Delta City.

  • Thye betrayed Frank Miller's (Sin City, 300) Idea I think they should of used a different CEO of OCP each woth a diffent personality

  • Im not knocking it. It was pretty true to original, more so than the sequels. The reason Marvel made it was as a cross promotion with their Robocop comic book. Notice that, like in the first film, The Old Man is clearly still a good guy. Same in the Marvel Comic. The change from generous to villainous is the one factor that many fans of the first film find inexcusable about the sequel and likely the reason Dan O'Herlihy walked after his contract was over.

  • how weird is it to see an ultra-violent movie like Robocop become a kid's cartoon?

  • yea so violent that on youtube u have to be 18 or older to view alex murphy's death

  • They made a Toxic Avenger cartoon too back in the day.

  • anyone noticed how cool robocops footsteps sound?

  • the only robocop I liked was the robocop first movie any other thing after it is crap. I still love that movie for it's violence and good story

  • i agree, the first RoboCop movie was the best...the other ones were just so-so. the violence is what made it all stick together.

  • I don't even remember that. How long ago was it?

  • i hate wen people make violent movies into tv shows

  • Come on, men in black wasn't THAT bad.

Infact that show kicked a lot of ass. Much better than that shitty sequel did.

  • This cartoon show was considered crap at the time. But considering what came after (Robocop 2, Robocop: the series, the Alpha Commando cartoon and the no budget Prime Directives miniseries) it was actually very faithful to the first movie.

All the minor characters came back for the cartoon. Lt. Hedgecock, The old man, etc. and they were true to the original movie.

  • I dont care what anyone say's. Marvel Productions Ltd did an excellent job with Robocop the animated series. This animated series was true to what the first Robocop film stood for. So dont knock it. Marvel had some hit animated series back in the days.

  • Cool, Boddicker is in the intro!

  • Oh dear, I had no idea the TV series was so Crap

  • robocop!

  • OMG! POST SOME EPISODES!!!

  • anyone gonna upload some episodes?

  • omg omg..this is a flashback to my good old days as a kid..oh man, i remember i would choke if i hadnt watched this show even 1 day..i wanna go back to my child days..:(

  • after being Mortally Wounded in the line of duty :)

  • this cartoon was cool . I Liked to watch Robocop and his gun , you are under arrest , je je classic , ok. sayonara my friends.

  • brings back a ton of memories

  • How did they make a kid's cartoon out of one of the most violent movies ever?

  • ya i only saw it on tv in movie its so violent how

  • It was produced by Marvel Productions Ltd. So it wasnt a "kiddie" cartoon. Hanna-Barbera makes kid cartoons.

  • OMG THAT WAS AWESOME! :D

  • I like the "Officer Murphy is outfitted by OCP with bulletproof titanium robotic farts" part of the intro, but yeah this and Dino-Riders were the good old days..

  • Someone should post full episodes. I remember as a kid trying to see this but it was really early in the morning.

  • classic!

I remember when I was 6 back in 1990 and I told my dad to purcahse the marvel cartoon of robocop in VHS at kmart. memories...

  • This was when I first heard of robocop . . .the memories

  • these rocked ! i can remeber seeing them as a kid lol... happy days !

  • i didnt kno this was a cartoon

  • I remember the episode where he went up against Clarence Baedeker. Now that was one hell of an episode.

  • If he really did exist, there would be no such thing as crime in Detroit

  • 2000 them song:

    ROBOCOP,ROBOCOP,ROBOCOP,ROBOCOP,ROBOCOP,ROBOCOP,ROBOCOP,ROBOCOP...

    It that a theme song?

  • One of my favorite cartoons as a kid. Like the concept of Robocop himself, it was well ahead of its time. The stories, animation, dialogue - everything was top-notch. So much better than the anime garbage foisted on kids today.

  • To quote Ren&Stimpy: MEEEEMORIEEEES!!! :P

  • that marvel series was a lot better tha the 2000 animated version

  • man i miss those good ol'days, and Robocop was one of them.

  • where can i get this >0<

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG MEMORIES YAAAH...

  • WHEN DID THIS EXIST

    I NEED IT NOWWWW

  • OMG! I REMEMBER THIS WHEN I WAS 3
