You can see artillery splashes 200m away from you, and you can only hear a small litlle "brmm...". A bit more farther, and the whole sound is gone. You don't even hear that if you don't have SVM enabled, and SVM makes even that impossible during a firefight next to you.
Is it in 5.1dolby dts??

They aren't shooting at him so he wont hear the supersonic pops.
Bullets need to be traveling close by to hear the pop. It's the same in real life.
