The 3.5L 6 cylinder in my 2004 VUE sold me. I've driven through mountains in many different cars and trucks including 8 cylinder ones and a Jeep Wrangler with a 3.5L engine and nothing comes close to the performance of the Honda engine in my VUE.
Don't BUY THIS CAR!! I run a transmission business. These cars are going out at only 60,000 miles. Transmission parts are very expensive. These cars have problems...please. Stay away from Saturn. Buy a Honda
@sammy2taylor interesting, i was just thinking to myself while watching this video of how i used to see ALOT of these on the road, and now I dont see them as much. I know Saturn was dropped but still weird of how much i dont see these anymore, but after reading your comment, I guess that's the reason why I dont really see them
@sammy2taylor omg dude ur such an idiot.its frum opel,u think ur gay ass honda is bttr than a opel??ur such an idiot.opel is waay superior than a jap company.
@91likearock Actually what he's saying is spot on. VTi transmission was the subject of a class action lawsuit. Those transmissions only get about 60k before they die. MOst people over 100,000 miles are on their third transmission because replacements don't last as long as the original. Other than that it's a great car. But any honda would last far longer than the 02-05 saturns vues.
@91likearock I don't know, Saturn and Honda used to collaborate back then. When Saturn started making the VUE using a Honda engine and transmission they have gotten a lot better and more reliable. I own one of those and I am very happy with the performance of the Honda engine. Runs great and still looks cool. I personally think they should not have changed that cool body line and just kept making them the way they looked like with the strong Honda power.
This car is built by GM Daewoo in South Korea. In Europe it is the opel antara, in Australia and New Zealand it is the holden captiva MaXX. In some respects it is a good car but it does have build Quality issues
Not really its based of of Opel all Saturn's are and you must not know Opel is GMs European version or it used to be and may i remind you penske works with MB and Rolls Royce.... dumb ass
My 2009 Saturn Vue XR is the worst car I've ever owned and Saturn does not care about me or the fact that they are unable to repair the numerous defects that existed directly from the factory. I am documenting these issues just in case I should perish as a result of wheel suspension failure. I will never buy another GM car as a result of the past seven months from hell. I was a loyal Saturn/GM customer since 1988 and I hate being cheated by a company I've supported since I was 18 years old.
don't listen to him/her, its a good car. i've heard opposites from others. but as a teen myself, i wouldn't get your teen a SUV. try the Aura, i have that, love it!!
@Turquoise66 I have one too, got it as my first car! And its a REALLY good car. So sad that Saturn is gone now tho. Seems like all of GM's best brands are the ones that are discontinued... :-/
I think the vue is a great car, i own one, and i have no problems with it. Maybe your vue is the worst car, but for me, my vue is the best car i have ever owned
I'm very sorry about that... GM (and especially Saturn) has been getting terrible reliability ratings in the past 20 years. If you ever need to change cars, i recommend a toyota rav4 or a honda CRV. Both have fantastic reliability and are as practical as the Saturn.
