I'm a doof... I became a huge Matrix fan when it came out (I was only 9 years old), then recently I finally got to watch V for Vendetta, and I completely fell in love with V and thought he was super sexy.. then I found out it was Hugo Weaving who played V!! I was like... WTF Agent Smith?!? And now.. I'm watching his movies and I'm like dang.. he IS sexy! Why haven't I realized this before! LOL.
@OneElectricKiss I envy anyone who's just discovering Hugo's body of work (beyond the obvious stuff like The Matrix and VfV) for the first time. There's so much more to him than Agent Smith. (Of course, I still love watching him play Agent Smith too. ) ;)
Hugo was the best actor. Hands down. He was niether cheesy nor uninteresting. There was never one point in the trilogy where Smith got boring. That is why he is my favorite character of the trilogy! :D
he ISNT australian actaully his parents were English and he lived in England at a young age but also lived in australian too and when he was older he choose to go back and live there prob coz of the better climate or whatever but his accent is mixed aswell its not full aussie
@charlieiscool1000 Um , there have been Films where he has gone FULL Aussie ( Little Fish ) and FULL Brit ( V For Vendetta , Wolfman ) ! As Elrond , he had A Kiwi Thing goin` ! As Smith , he did A Striking American Monotone ! And as Johan Schmidt/Red Skull in " Captain America : The First Avenger " , he`s doin` A German Accent ! He`s AN INCREDIBLE Actor !
@madhorn1 Technically he is Nigerian ( born there )- English (His parents)- Australian.( lives there). He also lived in South Africa at a young age. Does that count? ;P
But yes, I consider him Australian. He has lived there for 35 years after all ^^
@DrStrangebomb1993 heh Hugo Weaving is a very nice guy and extremely versatile. I'd point to his performances in films like, The Interview, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, Little Fish (I thought his performance in Little Fish was Oscar material except that small independent Australian films don't get noticed by Hollywood) and The Matrix films to illustrate this. I can't think of an actor I like more than Hugo Weaving.
@DrStrangebomb1993 In case you're interested he did win the IF award and I believe also the AFI award for best actor for his performance in Little Fish.

The accent throws me completely off! Him and Keanu were the best actors in the trilogy.

I am not an actor, but I use my hands a lot as well. I use to do a lot of public speaking, and sometimes you use your hands to emphasis a point.
If done properly, it helps with the communication. If overly done, it is a distraction.

I adore Hugo. He is incredibly modest, even shy, down to earth, gorgeous. Hes incredible.

Whoah... I thought that his voice would be more evil, you know, like Smith's or something. Seems he's a lot nicer than the agent he portrayed.
