I think even Nubian are mixed with Arab bllod, take the example of Mahas tribe, they claim thier grandfather is an Arab descendant. Nubian kept speaking their own language.. Better read old history of Sudan and Arab imigration to Sudan.Unfortunately their Journey ceased in the boarder of Southern Sudan because they were not familiar with such Equatorial cliamte.. this what i think.
I hate racisits and racism. Sudan is a land of diversity, a mixure of Arabian and African bloods, i don'nt understand why we think aggressively towards Arabs and deny their valuable contribution into civilization. Assuming that Balabil are not Arabs, but the language used in this song is Arabic and the poet him self is not an Arab. They were not and they are not racists.
Some people ears need to be cleaned from dust. I know some people are one way. Music is an international language, but to them this is not true, that's why they have an approach to underestimate other nation's culture and arts, But as long as we know the real value of our arts and the type of music that's suits our hearts and souls, we don't give a damn to what they say. Balabil are a uinique musical experience. Wow How beautiful are they?
I don't think you will ever find any arab singer whom you could ever and ever compare with these priceless voices.... Mashaa -Allaah. What ever they are they are better than Arab Jarab. Waman shaab harab.
Dinka boy! stop being racist! most of the Arabs in "the" north of Sudan some how are Nubians if you have no idea! as all sudanese people are AFRICAN too whether you agree or not! doesn't matter! by the way you don't have to be Arab to listen to this song.. cheers
No to you Nyanyethree, these women are not Arabs but Nubian and Nubian in far north of Sudan are not Arabs. I don't blame of your feelings toward the regime based in Khartoum- i feel the same way too. The singers are not part of that fucken crowd. Dinka boy wrote
oooh my gosh the somali people and the sudaness look alike very much i never seen ethiiopian or eratererian look like somali but the sudanes people walahi i think we are brother and siters maybe ages ago we just gone two parts mashalah sudaness i love them but i am somali

@habeeb01121970 exactly and I would concur with your comments about diversity which held, not just the sudanese but the arab in gengeral, back.

I love these ladies. They make me homesick.
Nevertheless, they seem like lesbians. Aren't they? Are they still alive?
