I was there. It was HUGE! When the DC streets overflowed with protestors, they had to throw up roadblocks coming into DC. But, there were still 1000s of cars and buses on the roads all the way back into Virginia and surrounding areas. A million? At least, maybe 2 or 3 million in and around the DC area and into Virginia trying to get into town. It was massive!!!

Sorry everybody, everything else aside, two million is a bullshit number. I live in DC, grew up mostly here, been here 16 years and seen tons of huge protests. Also saw the estimated 1.8 mill at Inauguration, and can tell you tha the 2 mill number, even 1 mill, even 200k is bullshit.
At 1.8 mill, the entire mall was nearly shoulder-to-shoulder full from the Capital to behind Lincoln. The protest the other day was from the Capital to 3rd St.

It was under 100k. I mostly grew up here, been here 16 yrs, and have seen tons of massive protests. The news was actually right about these numbers, D.C. Fire estimated 70k.
Inauguration was the largest gathering in D.C. history and was estimated at 1.8 mill. If you just guess from geographic area covered, the 9/12 protest was a small fraction of that. Inauguration was Capital to behind Lincoln + side streets. This was Capital to 3rd street. Just saying, it's the truth.

I was talking to a co-worker today who was just blatantly ignorant (by choice) to all of this. He was quite prepared to go along with the govt/media account of 9/11. Not prepared to even look at the evidence for himself. The very fact that the U.S. govt had so much more to gain from that day than some dude living in a cave in Afghanistan. I was there. It was HUGE! When the DC streets overflowed with protestors, they had to throw up roadblocks coming into DC. But, there were still 1000s of cars and buses on the roads all the way back into Virginia and surrounding areas. A million? At least, maybe 2 or 3 million in and around the DC area and into Virginia trying to get into town. It was massive!!!

Umm, maybe they were part of the historic demonstrations that took place on the eve of war against Iraq? Just because the media doesn't report on these demos, doesn't mean they didn't happen.The American People were far from silent about Bushco.
