  • You need to lengthen your upper body especially when your leg is at the side. You're doing what a lot of people do - moving your body down so your leg feels higher but you will get higher if you act tall ( if that makes sense)

  • I'd try getting your flexibily on the ground first with stretches. Also, yes, you want your knee turned out

  • it doesnt really stretch me when i put my leg up backwards because i do ballet and i am used to it.

  • ok... it should be turned out.. if thats what ur asking.. your knee should face the wall ( of the leg you are putting up) and never face it down...hope i helped, and luv ur videos...

  • ok, thank you! I will do that in future and I actually find it easier to have my knee facing out but I tend to put my hip up. I wasn't sure if you put your knees down or to the side in ballet.
