My view only: girls should be at most 3-5 years older than their boyfriends. I consider the modern 'Kutcher-Moore' syndrome immature and impractical, the other way round is another story altogether, since men mentally 'grow up' at the slower rate than women, so older guy and younger woman can go.
And, well, truth be told, it would offend my age awareness if a girl of my age (24) dated a 15-year old urchin rather than a guy about our age.

I know your situation I was dating this guy for 6 months & he was 16 I was 13 but he recently turned 17 soo I told him I was 15..& I lied to him about that he was very mad... But I did tell him the truth even though a couple weeks ago he did end up breaking up with me because I lied &he found another girl near is age :'( & I really wish I wouldn't have lied because maybe we would have still been together.. Best thing to do is tell him the truth.
@wannabeloserr1 when he gets older to about 19 and your 13, it can be a point where your underage, like... 18 and 12 is kinda far apart, in my opinion atleast. But hes becoming an adult and your still a young minor. Just watch out he could just use you for a sexual reason.

But I still think a 20 year old shouldn't be dating a 50 year old...it seems odd.

There are 15 years old girls that are very mature and also look A LOT older! If you're gone through a lot, you mature very quickly. I know a lot of 15 y.o. girl that date 19 years old boys. 2 years max if you're still in high school. If you're in college then maximum four years of age difference. If you're out of school I don't think it really matters how much as long as its not gross haha.

This isn't true in all cases, but I think that in most cases, girls mature faster than guys. Therefore, girls like to date older guys because that's when they 'catch up' and can actually take care of the girl. its really all about where you are in your life. Age differences in middle school and high school are a way bigger deal than when you get out of middle school and high school. When you're in high school dating a freshman as a senior seems like a very big deal but when those same two people graduate from high school and the then senior is now 21 and the then freshman is now 18 you won't be paying as much attention to the number but where you both are in maturity level.

Its not so much just the age, its different stages in life. Like, a 14 year old is probably gitty about kissing, but when your getting older, its a different stage, sex becomes more plausible than kissing. as a 20 year old im insulted!! :P...just kidding..i think the age adifference ur comfortable will increase as ur age increases...for instance i'd be willing to allow for an age difference of 6 (mainly due to the fact that shia labeouf is 6 years older, jk)...but ye, u'll probably change ur age limit as u get older :)

2 years max if you're still in high school. If you're in college then maximum four years of age difference. If you're out of school I don't think it really matters how much as long as its not gross haha.

I think within the same stage of life. A year older and a year younger seems to work fine, but a high schooler and a college kid just is hard. They're at different stages in their life.

but with age i think it depends where you are in life. like high schoolers should date high school and middle school age. college people should date college people. and once both of you are at around the same point work wise....age doesnt matter

im 16 and 2 years ago when i was a freshman i started talking to a senior guy at my school. i was 14 and he was 17. i go to a private school so i knew him pretty well. he was a sweetheart, but his friends made fun of him for liking me. my parents like him, but wouldn't let me date him (smart). i wouldn't date anyone older than 3 years at this time in my life. And I most likely wouldn't date younger than me not that i don't think some younger boys aren't attractive, it would just be weird...

i think it all depends on the couple. i am 15 and my boyfriend is turning 19 soon and we have been dating for nearly a year. parents opinions matter, in my situation my parents absolutely adore him, so obviously it is okay. but i do believe if i was any younger it most likely wouldn't work out. you might think its hard or we get stared at but it doesn't really happen because i look older than i am but we both know that its is going to be hard after he graduates and i am still in school

im 16. i will NOT date a guy younger than me, even if its just a few months. unless i absolutely adore the kid. and, i wouldnt date a guy over 5 or 6 years older than me. i like older guys though, so thats just what i prefer. my parents are 16 years apart and theyve been together for a while, age does start to not matter when you get older. as long as youre both happy, it shouldnt matter at all.

Being a girl, I wouldnt really want to date younger, if I did it would only be 1 year. I would probably date up to 2 years older, maybe 3. Like you sai, it just depends on the person. I am 14 and and i just feel that it would be odd if i went out with someone 17 or 18 years old.

I'm a sophomore, and I think it would be weird to date a senior. The oldest would probably be a junior. I think that people grow up so much in high school that in some cases even just a one year age difference can make a big difference. It definitely depends on the person. So for me, right now, one year age difference at the most.

I'm a 16 year old girl, about to be 17, and the oldest I would probably date is 19. My best friend is 19, so I'm friends with a bunch of her friends, and I fit in perfectly. Once I turn 17, I think it'd probably be raised to 20, only because I feel like I'm mature enough to handle it. I probably wouldn't date to much younger, honestly only younger in the grade. Possibly a grade lower, but they'd have to be mature enough.

This isn't true in all cases, but I think that in most cases, girls mature faster than guys. Therefore, girls like to date older guys because that's when they 'catch up' and can actually take care of the girl. It's incredibly awkward for me to even think of dating a younger guy because it would feel like I'm babysitting. Ok i'm done.

If you're under 18 (2 years absolute absolute maxxxx - There are way to many older people (girls and guys) that would take advantage) After 18 probably 5 years max (depending on how mature/immature each person is- because even older than 5 years can be ok)

its really all about where you are in your life. Age differences in middle school and high school are a way bigger deal than when you get out of middle school and high school. When you're in high school dating a freshman as a senior seems like a very big deal but when those same two people graduate from high school and the then senior is now 21 and the then freshman is now 18 you won't be paying as much attention to the number but where you both are in maturity level.

I'm 17 too, and the oldest boy I have dated is 2 years older than me. I just feel comfortable with that number. I think the same goes for guys. Most of my guy friends have dated girls who are 2 years younger than they are, but any younger just gets a little complicated when you're in high school.

Its not so much just the age, its different stages in life. Like, a 14 year old is probably gitty about kissing, but when your getting older, its a different stage, sex becomes more plausible than kissing. Same as going up, if your 16/17 a 23/24 years is in a different mind set. Im 18 turning 19 in November, and i dont think i would date anyone older than 21, and younger than 17
