There is a big difference between decriminalizing, and legalising. His point was valid that people given mandatory sentences for minor drug offences end up worse off after coming out of prision. Studies show this. He was also making an economical point on the cost to the criminal system of mandatory sentences - also valid. He did not condone the use of drugs - as he mentioned first. Lastly, why is he a mason 33 degree? Have you clear proof?
I do not get why you posted this. Pat is right, so what's the problem? There are people who murder someone and get out in sever years, yet someone with pot gets more time, really? Does that sound like justice? And with our tax dollars to boot.
@sheliadianehughey Should we then smoke poppy seeds also? God has not designed humans to be chimneys - hense lung damage, toxic effects of the brain from the gases. The body is the temple of God.
Pat is a psycho old prick without a clue of what goes on in the world. The guy is fucking brainless!!! And so is every braindead American who believes this moron! :P
having said that maybe there is something to this hegelian dialectic i always remember a quote from mark twain "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect." the majority of people were desperate for change when obama ran hell even us canadians felt like he would help solve our political issues, but oh how wrong we all were. so now when i find myself agreeing with the majority i tend to sit back and ask why. however im still asking why over this issue.
im a ganja smoker in my mind it is the safest thing to ingest even as far as coffee is concerned weed is much safer. though i know its safe, our brains have THC receptors, i dunno if it is something god intended for us since it is his creation and it has only benefits for the human body, or if it is forbidden as modern religion has indoctrinated me into believing. i find it hard to trust modern religion since man is fallible and there has been an insidious war man learning its true history.
Good for him! I hardly believe it, but maybe he got educated. Maybe someone he knows uses cannabis for medical purposes. Maybe he really is a better Christian than most of his cohorts.
If he believes in decriminalization now, why did he believe in criminalization ten yearts ago? Did the bible change? The word is pretty clear as to why GOD made plants, and the word is very clear about pharma drugs. If Pat believes in Jesus than he would understand that LAWs to prevent sin do not work, actually they condemn the sinner into a transgressor. The fact weed is criminalized, but people smoke it more than ever prove Jesus was correct. Religious legalism and control is SATANIC. Matt 23
\m/ pat good job ...yes its true ...with parole violations and putting small amounts of weed in the same category as crack is stupid . Well i see the point and if people can evolve good for them...cz times are changing .....he has no chioce other than to wake up and get off the high horse .....with a dwindling mass population and a revenue lackng ....He is in survival mode much like schulla

God created marijuana (Genesis 1:11-12) on the second day, just after he created dry land "and God saw that it was good."

@snoozinghipo Who said you have to smoke it? It's more potent and is a better medicine if you cook it as food.
