  • I miss the dense sounds, harsh shakes, the heart check. Its beating out of my chest yup im still alive.

  • Good stuff, nice editing. Any more like this?

  • @uttaradit2 check my profile..few there

  • How did the train at 1:44 not see you/ your camera?

  • @RailfanningRulez You would have to ask them, but my guess and well planning in that shot is that trains are so big you can easily hide a little handy cam up against rolling stock and make it hard to see. I definitely wasn't holding it..check maybe they did see it and didnt care..who knows

  • What would you guys recomend a good starting point? i'm thinking on heading out to Jasper.

  • Dude it's my fuckin dream to do this.

  • I love it...wish I could do this!

  • How did you get the conductor to let you in the train?

  • FREE TICKET FOR BAD SERVICE NOT FIRST CLASS LOL

  • wait a minuite the guy stayed why?

  • @SuperNorfolksouthern Not following you, who stayed??

  • @SuperNorfolksouthern at 00:49 who is he

  • @SuperNorfolksouthern oh ya, we arrived at the yard and we looked down the tracks and saw a full case of beer sitting in between the rails. We went over to check it out and this guy was in the woods calling to us. We walked over and helped him up, he was waisted and couldn't even sit up straight. We gave him his booze from off the tracks and kept walking down to our spot...when the train came he got up and tried getting on the train. Managed to keep him off and said bye on our way out.

  • @wizehop THNX WERE WAS THIS ANYWAYS

  • @SuperNorfolksouthern Northern Ontario Canada

  • I did this before for about 5 min than jumped off

  • Now THATS the way to ride a train. Keep an eye out for the railroad dicks, & have fun.

  • Oh my goodness, I love you all. I want to do this someday . . .

  • @carolinahobo Glad you took something away from it. In the end all our experiences as people should to be shared..at least in my eyes.

  • If they think riding on FREIGHT trains are fun then that's their prerogative. Fun to you might be hanging out at the GAY bars but I don't bash you for being a queer homo. My fun is school, parties, and hot chicks. To each their own....

  • @EliteG901 amen to school, parties, and hot chicks

  • My personal opinion tho. Not my uncles, but I hope your train derails! Now I see why everyone in the states make fun of O'canada. Lol. You've made so many posts that I'm beginning to wonder if you even have a job or a life for that matter as much as you pay attention to this video and the comments.

  • @cnrail

you sound like disgruntled prick. Lol. My uncle works for union Pacific and makes way more than a locomotive engineer. Hes about as high up the totem pole you can get. I showed him all your posts. He thinks a hobo must have fucked your wife to have you so mad. Lol

  • @cnrail16 LOL.You call him a low-life when he's the one who sounds intelligent, educated and mannerly. You argue like a drunk redneck with an 8th grade education, picking a fight in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Oh and it's not an assumption. It's classic psychology. He isn't hurting anyone or damaging any railroad property, yet you hate him, because deep down you know he's free while you're slave and a chickenshit.

You can't stand a free-thinking, free-living kid with the balls you lack.

  • @cnrail16 fucking oogles are rude.

  • what is that car you were riding in with the phones and comfy seats? some kind of unused control car?

  • @jwallbanger Its an extra locomotive. There called DPU's (distributed power units) and basically railroads sometimes put extra units in the middle and or the rear of a train to save on fuel costs, or to help push big loads uphill.

  • @cnrail16 Kid you have no clue what your talking about and its obvious. YOU RAILWAYS??? ahaha funniest shit I have ever herd. You don't own shit kid..shut your hole and spend your life taking pictures, let us live it.

  • @cnrail16 Why do this? Why do anything? because I enjoy it. Some people enjoy throwing balls through hoops, some people enjoy smoking weed...I enjoy riding freight trains...Trains weren't build so railfans could take pictures of them either. In regards to avoiding rail workers, you do that by planning your movements.

  • @cnrail16 Fuck you and take the rail spike out of your ass. Just because you chose a boring clock punching life don't get angry at him for choosing a free life. It's funny how the dogs hate real freedom just as much as their rich masters.

He isn't risking anyone's safety but his own, so fuck off and leave him alone. If he fucks up and gets squished or jailed that's his and ONLY his consequences, not yours, so go eat a bowl of shit, pea brain.

  • @cnrail16 LOL, what are you six years old kid? I'm well aware of all that, I have been riding FREIGHT trains for over 12 years. Last spring I got caught on a train and it was a whopping $65.00 fine...big fucking deal. I will CONTINUE to RIDE FREIGHT TRAINS regardless..GET IT..thanks but NO THANKS. Go run home o MOMMY

  • Technically the act of train hopping isn't illegal, its the trespassing portion that is..same difference though ;)...but ya its all about stealth and planning.

  • 7:25 How did you guys get into a locomotive? Train hopping is illegal so I'd expect you guys wouldn't want to risk getting seen.

  • how many people r in your pack. 3 rite

  • @parad0x42100 you are correct

  • Isn't it mildly terrifying that there's not much in the way of a floor?

  • Wizehop is inspiring

  • @TheDevanlepinski Aww thanks!

  • Amazing!! We want more!!

  • Great Great film. I cant express all of my feelings of how well produced this video was. I do hope that someone of influence in the film industry picks up on it and gives someone the chance to do something way more professional. This videos reeks of cinematic talent. Just my thoughts and the whole world can disagree with me. Thats what comment boards are for.

    Good luck,

    Dr. Ron

  • @segundooron Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Was there a worker in the cab with you? i thought i herd " don forget to close the door"? GREAT FILM

  • @8010cookie That was me

  • Know any good places around alberta!? I know of people getting caught if they dont know wherre to go

  • did you/could you ride on the roof?

  • @muellerd123 you can ride on the roof and no this time I didnt.

  • Woah you went into the locomotive! yikes that would be so creepy since if they cought you, you would probaly go to jail. They would probaly think you were intending on doing something to that locomotive if they found out.

  • @DieselSmoke92 not quite..people get caught in locos quite a lot, its the same fine slash possible charge as riding anywhere else

  • @wizehop Why don't they lock the locomotives that are not being driven by engineer and conductor?

  • @DieselSmoke92 a lot of companies do....but some dont bother as they do get boarded and re assigned quit often. SOme may only be used to help a train up a hill, then detached and brought back down on another and so on.

  • why would you expose yourself as the other train passed...they coulda seen you and then contacted CP...

  • You are a pretty interesting guy bud...you remind me of myself.

  • @tprdfh51 your too sweet ;)

  • Extra ♥●•٠·˙♥●•٠♥●•٠·˙·Ordinary

  • harsher and harsher shit for getting caught, people are getting more and more probation, court dates, warrants for not paying fines etc... CP just hired a ton more bulls. Thanks for all your efforts trying to ruin many peoples way of life. I hope you receive the consequences for being a idiot soon.

  • @wrbsloat Its not people like me who are ruining it...train hopping is not and has never been a secret. Its crust punks and skids who get busted on trains drunk and stoned who fuck shit up. The railroad is a business and all they want is to keep the trains moving....I dont stop trains...drunk ass skids who think they own shit do.

  • you know when I started rideing, no one would tell anyone about it unless they had known them very well, and trusted they wouldn't blab it to a bunch of idiots who would proceed to go and heat it out, a lot of people just figured out how to do it themselves, and there was a general understanding to keep it relativly secret with the knowledge that it would get heated out. Today idiots like you have dozens of youtube videos and are promoteing it to anyone and everyone. they are handing out con..

  • What is the penalty if you get caught?

  • @pyrofella it can be as little as getting kicked of railway property to a small fine, to a large fine community service, criminal record..couple days in jail. It can really vary based on where you get caught and who catches you. For the most part its not to much to worry about.

  • isnt riding in an open bottom car a really bad idea?

  • @FetalJuice88 it is for the most part

  • excellent documentary, the best Ive seen on rial travel, fantastic sense of adventure, really want to do this someday, I'm guessing you'd highly recommend it? How long did you spend travelling?

  • @Lenin426599 Id highly recommend it to the right kind of people, its not for everyone. Are you asking how ling I have been riding trains in total or just this trip?

  • @wizehop this wasnt just a once off you always do it?! haha fairplay man! Id love to do it for a few weeks instead of using a car. Im about to go do Route 66 in a car and its going to be amazing but I'd love see Canada this way, looks incredible

  • @Lenin426599 ya check out my profile

  • i travel hitching flying signs squatting city to city and what not i have met alot of street kids and bums in my travels that ride trains i have never done it just because of all the negetive feedback i have gotten between the bulls and the crazy freight riders you may come accross along the way and ive had a few chances to catch out with fellow street buddies i will eventualy tho

  • @TOEJAMxDRK Bulls exists to keep people off trains, of course they will talk smack. Also there are crazy people in all walks of life..don't let that deter you. Hopping freights is about going beyond those barriers and doing it because you want to.

  • dude im going tomorrow to Ny from denver on da trains..are the bulls really dat bad yo??

  • @Redeyejedi007 Some are worse than satan himself and others are chill, just dont get seen and you wont need to worry ;)

  • You have to assume that CP has seen this and caught the trespassers.

  • @LaochWins Actually no, as I am one of those trespassers..doesn't quite work that way.

  • hahahahah juiced up on jesus....made my day lol

  • ummm how do they charge their cameras???

  • @tubofbologna usualy by plugging them into a socket..however some train hoppers have been known to possess mystical powers.

  • imagine getting a ride on the train with the construction vehicles and sitting inside one haha

  • @whotookthecookies I may try that some day

  • Yeah I thought so, I read something by a guy named Wes Modes who claimed that the workers don't radio hoppers in,and he even asks them when the trains will arrive on occasion. I was very skeptical, still it may be true in some places I don't know.

  • @Style386 Wes Knows what he's talking about. The thing is some people are nice some are not. Railroads have a zero tolerance thing when it comes to train hopping these days. If a rail worker gets caught not calling you in or helping you out they could lose there job....so even for the nice ones these days it can be difficult for them to help you or just let things slide. Personally I never risk it but some situations call for interesting measures.

  • I noticed you filmed some incoming trains with the, umm conductor? Driver? guy inside practically looking right at you. Do they not report you by radio? I'd be scared to get caught to go hopping. Anyways great videos, highly enjoyable to watch.

  • @Style386 they didnt see us. I hid the camera to get that shot...they would radio in for sure is we had been seen. Glad you enjoyed them

  • 1:30 suicide ride, you guys go ahead, I'll wait for something a bit more roomy xD

  • @CableReadyTechnoSIut there all slowly disappearing

  • @wizehop you have feeded back on me when i said whats the song??????

  • @ProPiers there are a couple songs in the vid..which one are you interested in knowing?

  • One of the best videos out there on the subject. Alot of fucking admiration towards you and your friends man. I really hope to start travelling these lands soon...

  • @cornsnoggle man you gotta follow your passions man!

  • your my fuckin hero man. i am doin it this summer ontario to alberta, any suggestions?

  • @Franzy138 I take it you have never hopped a train before? if so you may want to start out a little more modest.

  • @wizehopLike not so far? and no i have never hopped before i spend all my spare time trackside though with my camera! This is so intense dude, you have seen sights that many people will never get to see in there lives. Like they say you only live once and this is fuckin living. Straight up man i have so much respect for you! And serna! Big ups!

  • @Franzy138

    A shorter itinerary.

  • FYI-comment left in my name was NOT written by MissABBY, but by someone using her laptop.

  • you guys are oogles

  • @MissAbbysVids oooofff course we are...any one who uses that worst is completely retarded...go back to drinking in parks and thinking you matter

  • is train hopping illegal or not?

  • @creamyfilling102 The actual act of riding trains isnt the problem, its that its tresspassing. So if your doing it without permission, which most people do then you could get fined or in some cases worse

  • Great video but I can't view it on TV via BluRay player. If you go to your upload video page, click edit , scroll down to Syndication and check box for enable TV/mobile device, that should work unless there is something else preventing it.

  • Holy shit you guys are in the loco?

  • @npadul30 ya man

  • @npadul30 Well I mean how do you get in there without them noticing? Also there is no brake man in there. Strange.

  • i think we have the same scanner :P

Can you teach me how to use mine?

  • @xSolstice1 ahaha man I upgraded to a bigger scanner and I dont even know how to use it half the time now. That little scanner was actually pretty good. All I ever really did with it was set it to scan the range between 160.110 and 161.565 megahertz. The railway frequencies are in such a small range that to can catch pretty much anything easily.

  • wow now this is cool. how to you like travelling like this?

  • @trainguyONR I love traveling like this, but for us its about the trains, not so much where we end up!

  • how do you know where you are going are there any trains from nyc to miami

  • @horsefeathers87 research...IM sure there are but Ive never riden any of em.

  • @ROBERTIISGOD i dont know if this guy got back to you or not, and im not an experienced train hopper, but from what i've been studying, chicago is the worst place to hop a train in america, they have infrared sensors and crazy shit like that.

  • awesome! must havve been nice to be in the comfort of the cab of a diesel after all those hard floors

  • @dueltruck700 ya there nice rides for sure :)

  • @dueltruck700 ya there nice rides for sure :)

  • um did u guys hop on in toronto?? and if so where?? thx!!

  • @flaginlagin in this vid no, but its all over Ontario and a bit of winnipeg

  • I hope I can do this, hopefully before I grow up fully. If not, I hope to do this sometime in my life.

Don't the check the trains at night?

  • @phase866 yes at times, and if other people see you they may call the police...so you need to be careful.

  • @wizehop Hey man, has anyone ever died due to derailment while doing this as far you know?

  • @hootenzie Not 100% sure, I know of someone who just survived one and stopped hopping trains cause of it. Personally Id like to live through one.. intact of course.

  • Pretty chill RTC (around 4:00-5:00), good stuff man

  • Well executed, guys. Any run ins with the law? I hear police are far less strict there. But regardless- whats a fat man in blue gonna do to spoil adventure?

    Nothing!

  • @EpiphoneSG95 No man we stay out of there path. They know me and they do want to run into me though.

  • @EpiphoneSG95 oh and ya they can nail you just as hard up here..had a few friends who got it pretty bad in the past.

  • I alway's wanted to ride the rail's. Now, I'm too dang old. Be careful and live free!

  • wow, that's balls, riding in the DPU unit.!

  • Hey I am so interested in doing this, my sister went from ontario to B.C a couple years back, I am looking for someone interested in joining me or can give me some input on where to get more info or a crew change....?Love the video btw :)

  • @ileana8585 Are you in Ontario? I'm off to South America a a couple days then India for a year. Love to join you but Ill be away for a while.

  • @wizehop yes I am in Ontario, about 2 hours from Toronto....Wow thats awesome, I just came back from Peru a few weeks ago, I spent 2 months there...it was amazing....hope you have a blast :)

  • @ileana8585 Toronto is a good town for trains, a bit hot but I ride there a lot....I'm from Ottawa...pretty barren there

  • A Great Ride Guys, well done! Very cool video! But, for safety you should try and spot an Older Well Car with a floor in it, or you can take a sheet of plywood with you, we did that once, short ride. Or ride the Hopper Ends, there safer! One unexpected heavy slack action and your through the floor under the Train & Gone, Jesus or no Jesus! Also some of the new Locomotives EMD-SD70M & GE-ES44's have Surveillance Cameras in them! The Scanner was a good idea, hear if the Bulls are coming, haha!!

  • @48alfaone glad you enjoyed it. There are hardly any intermodals with floors on it on that line...seen it once in 5 years. As for loco cams yes they have them but they record the tracks..at least any I have ever seen.

  • @wizehop Your Right My Friend, the older Well Cars are few & far between now, on all the Roads! We rode a CN Freight in a Well Car from Sarnia to Toronto & back with a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood, its light, you can even cut it in two peaces. Safety First, in Mexico many fall through! We setup before the Train arrived, hid the sheet of wood in the bush so no one would steal it in Toronto! She was a nice ride, but heads down through London & Toronto! The Scanner is a must have for Bulls, haha!!

  • @48alfaone ya man, I hear other riders talk about using wood extra to cover the floor. I don't know how much I would trust it, plus Ive never really just happened onto some nice material trackside...

  • @wizehop Ya we took this plywood with us from the start, it worked well. Cut in two makes it easy to carry, but maybe only if your riding the same line, a long trip on different Roads through different Cities maybe not so easy? I had heard that some Units have cameras in the cab now, only turned on when no crew & in DPU mode, but who knows, time will tell? Any knew riders should take the Hopper Ends till they get there Train Legs, haha! This one was beautiful friend! Now ride the Rocky's!!

  • @48alfaone Oh dont talk about safety you hypocrite.

  • @coborn35 People, mostly kids like you are drawn to try riding a train everyday! If you can't stop them, then its best to talk about some Basic Safety! Its important to talk about harm-reduction no matter what people do in life, legal or not legal!

  • howd u get in the cab at the ending?

  • @Himynameisjustis They were riding in an empty Engine back in the middle of the train. Most are unlocked! These Engines are for extra power pushing the train from the middle or back end. They are controlled by radio from the front Engine where the crew are driving the train. There called Robot Units or DPU's. Peace.

  • Fuck Yeah. Nice shot. i cant wait to hit the rails again. and now we got a camera to. so i cant wait to get a shot like this

  • at alexguitarwhite... the best way to get off a train is before your stopping destination(because the major cities are always stopped at) is to throw all yor stuff off and then tuck and roll at the train yards then simply ask one of the workers where you should sit and wait for the next train

  • nice video. im gonna fav it. but quick question me and my friend plan on doing it soon. just wanna know what happens if you get caught? legally?

  • @AlexGuitarWhite Hey am also really interested in doing this, I have no idea how or where to start though...did you find out if its illegal or not? My sister did this a few years ago she went from ontario to B.C...I want to try so bad....any pointers would be good :)

  • few questions. me and a friend are wanting to do this. dont know how far we wanna go yet but what would happen if we were caught? and lastly when you get off do you tuck and roll? please respond

  • wait. when i train hopped last month to go to up state ny to back to my state nj they kicked me off they dont care if u hop on??

  • I love this I always wanted to ride the rails.

  • show how to use the rail spike to keep boxcar doors from slamming shut on you.

  • love these vids thanks for posting them. i have hitch hiked from mexico to canada and thinking about trying train hopping.

  • @TheDevanlepinski you should!

  • who are the small gimps? lmfao (video discription) isnt it dangerous as fuck to be hovering over that hole while riding the train?

  • @themachinegunn its uuuhhh my accent....I'm notorious for miss spelling. I think I have errors in every one of my vids. My girlfriend is always adamant I let her read everything before I finish but Im too fast I guess ;) Oh and yes it is dangerous.
