they have moved offshore to Thailand...cheap labor, no american jobs

but if you want a free one, there is one at the bottom of dutch harbor alaska

it blew to a million pieces into the bay...poor construction.

@goose2goose2 I know about your turbine, we have emailed each other in the past. Did they ever replace yours as they said or give you back your money? I hope they stay in Thailand, those SOB's. It is companys like this that are doing more to detract from renewables than help it along.

OMG!!! I just did a Google on this and the suggested retail is $17,000 US. For this price the unit should be perfect no defects at all! It should have at least a 10 year warranty short of that, you need a lawyer that has a REAL wessel or wolverine attitude when working for his clients.

how can you tell that this was installed wrong? We just had one put in and despite 20-25mph winds it barely spun.

@Nichen You are right, it shouldn't sound like that, but is does. I met another Helix Wind owner and she had the same problem. I think it is a bad design and they won't fix it. Just stall stall stall.

Ask to the company install bearings, as I can see, the shaft is directly mounted on the base, or install autolubricated bush bearings, in my opinion two conicals bearing mounted in oposition will be perfect

Yea isn't that just great. Helix Wind tried since last September to quite it down with no success. I have had it with them, I just want my investment back but they will not give it back.
