Im going to get my red nose pit-bull ears cropped. At 4 months of age that's why i need to know the vet said its okay but they prefer sooner.

@Ecyerar I didnt get his ears cropped. I bought him from the breeder like that. the pic on the concrete before cropped ears was an original when I found him, I asked for his earlier pix when I bought him and got that picture you see in the video..

ive also got a blue nose. she is 5 months and about 45-50 pounds or so. she was 41 pounds at 4 months . the growth is insane! her mom was very small and her dad was a normal sized pit not overly massive and not a pocket muscle mass. just a normal size but very built. but back to the point. mine has yet to have a lengthy stage in growth. shes at my waist on her back legs and im 5'7. shes just a little meat block. just wanted to share. love them all!!! how much does he weigh now? and name?

@Yellowbird74 its femoral head ostectomy - when there's a femoral head fracture that cant be fixed [cap of femur being screwed back onto neck of femur] they cut off the head of the femur completely disengaging the ball/socket joint. over time fibrous tissue grows back in its place. he was a young pup and took a jump off about 3steps but landed wrong and fractured his femoral head.

some people are tall, short, fat, skinny, etc. as such, even dogs are different. big dog small dog doesn't matter. and FYI: pit-bull's aren't suppose to be wide huge fat dogs. those are ones with mixed blood aka bully breeds, specifically bred for that type of frame/bone structure etc. unless you have papers proving otherwise, which "Im sure you do of course" then don't comment cause it sounds borderline ignorant to most educated dog lovers. but thanks anyways

thank you. actually no, he was a lil fat ball when he a young pup. weight dropped cuz of the surgery, post op stress/pain, not eating, etc. he's still considered a puppy at 8.5months now, gained his weight back, 65 lbs now. the bulk/lean factors depend on a lot like bloodline[s], mixed [bully] breed etc. some ppl commonly mistake bully breeds for being pure bred apbt's, hence the misconception that pits are suppose to be huge or low riding bulky dogs weighing 100+ lbs, which isnt the case
