This was a good movie! Why do people hate it so much? It followed elements of the game, paid homage to the game, it had The Rock and some marines kicking demon ass, and was solid bloody fun entertainment! What else could people want?! This movie is so much like the Doom game. I remember very well, while playing it, the SWAT dressed marines and people with corny names, the Aliens rip-off guns, the final 10% of the human genome that turns people into super-humans or monsters(demons from hell?yeah right) and zombies no different from the ones of George A Romero movies and other things that this movie has so much in common with the Doom franchise.Lets not forget the exceptional performance of The Rock in the movie

Doom 2 you banish hell from earth and they can't spawn there. thats why they spawn on mars and lure the earth defences to send ships so they can send demons to earth insted and kill everthing. not a HUGE AWSOME story but still pretty good. ALOT better compared to this asshole of a movie
I don't really know what they were thinking when they put the FPS sequence in there. Hmmm let's make this movie look like the game but the audience don't actually control the game. So why don't I just play the actual game?
I really liked this film. sure It could have been better. It could have had the Cyberdemon, or final battle took have taken place on Mars / Hell instead of Earth, or one lone soldier could have been sent in rather than a group of them (RRTS). But I still found it a great film to watch.

I love how they changed the words of Celldwellers "Switchback" to "Fightback" I was going along with the song until the words changed. Oh well still an awesome movie in my opinion!

i hate this movie yrs iv been wateing 4 a doom movie this has f**** all 2 do with the game the monsters and demons did not mutate they came through a portal if ur gonna make a movie out of a game do it properly i should of directed this film my self my mate was so pissed off he took the dvd bk 2 the shop the only thing i liked was some of the monsters and weapons hope the half life film dosent turn out bad

@flamingwafflez21 it wasn't bad, but why make it a scientific explanation? they shouldve kept it like it is in the games, the creatures come from HELL, not from human research. no need for a realistic explanation anyway cause it's Doom, imo.

What l found funny is in the original Detroit Switchback Klayton says u know what; (Switchback, to late to look back....).
But here it's: "No way to fight back", "piece of your back", "it's all the time u got" and "no way to attack"....Odd^^ly funny!!

@Magnolia296 No one is saying they weren't. universal just fucked us DOOM fans over by not sticking with the original premise. They could have used Doom 3 as a basis and it would have been awesome. This movie really has nothing to do with Doom except for some cosmetic simulaties.
