@Seventh7Art you are comparing turbo kits, not cars and their original manufacturers, the alpha 12 GTR will be beaten by the 9ff GTurbo, sine you can always produce a bigger turbo. There is a 1500 whp gallardo which would smoke both of them, or even a UGR ford GT, or a LP670 TT. It depends how to tune your car, for acceleration or speed. Bugatti SS is still number one when it comes to top speed. Any GTR can accelerate to 300 kmph, right? what about after that? Bottom line. Europe > Japan.

@Seventh7Art Do your research kid, and check out the drag strip once in awhile in person, there are a handful of cars doing the 1/4 mile in less than 8 secs, but they are not street legal. Our original conversation was about speed and which is faster. A car which can accelerate dead start in a quarter mile faster than a Veyron, doesn't make it faster than a Veyron. The GTR A12 has a small gear ratio, even if it accelerates with faster, it will cap at 320 kph. Porsche GTurbo Top Speed: 396 kph

@jdmmaster The one that is on the GT2 is absolutely necessary when you are at 800rwhp. There is a reason we call it the Undertaker...

The one on the GTR, some say it is optional, others not. We have not tried to prove otherwise, however I do know that the rear end of these tend to "drift" outward at up to a 30* angle when at full power on the stock summer tires at over 800awhp.

@RCC4487 I'm not Switzer, but I could name a couple of reasons.

The GT-R is geared for 0-100 and quarter mile times. So its close down low, tall up high. Also the aerodynamics. The GT-R has a bigger cross section, so it has to displace more air. The 911 is torquier too.

Generally though, mass has less and less importance as acceleration goes down. So in a race from 300, the car with more power sould win despite its mass, ruling out all other variables of course.
