I've driven for a number of years and one thing is for sure, most drivers cannot back worth a damn. I wish I had I dollar for every rig I put in a hole or to the door for so called professionals. Oh no, it's not just the rookies who drive for companies like Werner, Swift, CRST, England, etc. There are many an independent out there in their long-noses that couldn't back up a thought, much less 80 feet of truck. Yeah, getting out and looking is good practice, but for some it is only exercise.
All I know is, ya put it in "R" ,and go like hell - till ya feel something bump you, then ya know you've done something really great !! While in "R" hammer down, pedal to the medal and go like Hell, maybe the load will unload itself if your lucky - that what "R" is for I was always taught - Go go like hell in reverse !

Northbound you'd be seeing one real soon, not a great time to be driving that fast. I've driven for a number of years and one thing is for sure, most drivers cannot back worth a damn. I wish I had I dollar for every rig I put in a hole or to the door for so called professionals. Oh no, it's not just the rookies who drive for companies like Werner, Swift, CRST, England, etc. There are many an independent out there in their long-noses that couldn't back up a thought, much less 80 feet of truck. Yeah, getting out and looking is good practice, but for some it is only exercise.

@andreking84 hmmm this sounds like BS !! both governed at 67 in a 55 zone that is highly patrolled. Southbound you woulda just passed or come out of a coupe. Northbound you'd be seeing one real soon, not a great time to be driving that fast. Therefore I have a hard time imagining you both doing 67 over the grapevine. not to mention all the underpowered california trucks plugging up both right lanes.

the thing that always got me was,id be drivin around in a truckstop lookin for a place to park,,see a "vacant" spot and think great..go to get set up to back in..and waaaay back in the back is a little straight truck such as one like this why? why back all the way back in the hole, some places have bobtail parkin they could park there but nope.4wheelers or rvs sometimes had those spots. sucks that he backed into him apparently GOAL was not somethin they teach and common sense is lacking.

I went through werners orientation in omaha a couple of years ago and they did not give me a road test or a drug test.I met a lady driver at their shitty hotel and she offered me a bj because she needed money to turn the heat on back home for her kids.
