I've just finished Icewind Dale I&II, and I'm craving for another game of this genre. Neverwinter Nights seems promising what do you guys think?

Well, I love this game. So I say go for it. Get the Diamond version which includes all of the expansions and some add-ons.

one last question, I'm only interested in the single player mode, is it still worth getting it? I'd read through a few write-ups about the game, seems like they put a lot emphasis on the multiplayer mode.

Honestly, single player is all I really play. The multiplayer is fun with custom mods and stuff, but single player is enough for me.

It's a great game, at least if it's the type of game you're into. This isn't really my type of class to play - I usually play a monk or a ranger. The level on customization is great as well. Give it a try!

@FischKopfD A NWN 3 would either be an MMORPG whre you just grind, or a multiformat title turned into an action-adventure for the console kiddies. It would NOT be the deep cRPG of NWN1 that's for sure! Remember in today's multiformat market we call games like Jade Empire and Mass Effect RPG's when thy have no avatar stats to speak of, no classes to play and no sandbox world to explore and find sis quests!

As far as I know, you don't need all the expansions. I could be wrong though - I bought the expansions as they were released. You should need them though. But anyway, you can buy the Neverwinter Nights Diamond pack in most PC game stores for around $30 I think. It comes with every expansion plus a few add-on campaigns.

Yeah there is a single player campaign, but you can go online and play on player created campaigns - or i think you can also play through the main campaign on coop.

@Xeophian No It's more like playing Diablo 2 where you have a set world and you can go through campaigns. If I were you, I would search for Never Winter 1 multiplayer gameplay videos.

Although i don't really know how many people play online anymore since NWN2 came out. If you plan to play online let me know, maybe we can play together. I have to start playing again as it's been a while.

Nope. This one came out in 2002. The 20 year old one is an old Neverwinter Nights MMO for AOL that was released back in 1991. Two different games, just the same name.

Lol it was released in 2002. These graphics were amazing for back then. This company also released Dragon Age and Mass Effect - so if NWN were released now the graphics would be much greater. Also, graphics don't make the game. Try it before you knock it.

@IggyZadr I already tried it dude, I swear to god that I tried my best to play it, but I honestly couldn't... I agree in what you say... graphics don't make a game, but I just couldn't play it... the story appears to be amazing, it's that I really didn't pay too much attention...

I played dragon age origins and it's just amazing, may be the fact that my brother is using the new computer and I am stuck with this game drives me nuts, but it is his computer so... well, I am stuck in 2002 gentlmen

@AlexLococo After a world search for the star wars knights of the old republic 2 I got the game and I installed it, so I definitely abandoned this game, now I am a jedi and the galaxy depends on me :P

no, seriously now... thanks for your effort, but for now I will dedicate my time on the high school, my work, my social life and (if I can find any time) the star wars game but I will keep this game and try to play it in the future, goodbye for now :)

Well, I mostly played Diablo online. I have yet to play this online, actually. I just have plenty of fun playing single player. (although, looking for the waterdavian creatures is getting kinda old. Thankfully you can skip chapters and play whichever ones you want once you beat it)
