  • JUDAS PRIEST BE MY GUIDE!!!!

  • Rename this song "Obama"

  • The best song ever!!!

  • Anyone know the name of the backround?

  • @TheFilipp93 It's the Sad Wings Of Destiny album cover

  • Of course lyrics are not the only aspect of what makes up a genre but are intrinsically part of said.

  • a classic

  • "Withdraw your feeble aches and moans Or suffer smite from this my hand"

  • Listen to" Rapid Fire"

  • Dude This is Heavy metal. Sabbeth had a dark zepplin 60ish sound, A true metal band had 2 guitar players. Hendrix Zepplin Sabbeth kick ASS but Priest Started Heavy Metal !

  • @MrLemmy2000

Number of guitarist doesn't mean a thing. Heaviness matters, not number of players.

Judas Priest were far from Heavy Metal music. Black Sabbath made Heavy Metal in 1970.

Black Sabbath, Wizard, Paranoid, War Pigs, Iron Man, Under The Sun, Supernaut, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Symptom Of The Universe etc. The essence of Heavy Metal music. If band is not as Heavy as Black Sabbath then it's not Heavy Metal. That's why this is not Heavy Metal.

  • great song and great album

  • 2 favorite songs of the album is Tyrant, and Victim Of Changes

  • im at a school concert and they put on justin bieber so i have my phone this on right now next to my ear FML

  • This album changed me and the face of metal with it !

  • I think I love this song

  • Priest at their best, and before they became a parody of themselves. One of the defining metal tracks of all time

  • @dardobartoli The only Priest I am not fond of is the one with tim ripper.

  • Drummer is too weak.

  • In live is Much Better!

  • omg.... i think that just broke all of his other screams like dissident.. and deciver

  • I like when he says tyrant sendsshivers down my spine

  • The ending sounds like the ending to flight of icarus lol

  • happy birthday Rob old dog!! TYRANT!

  • Been listening from the second solo all day. And I don't know when I'll stop. Maybe Never.

  • perhaps the best Judas Priest song

  • 11 people like Radiohead.

  • Love to keep up with the times. Tyrants in the Golden Age were Tyrants. Obama is just a pussy, and will be re-elected, and then.....?

  • @tontrip And then I will eat dinner.

  • love the guitar

  • sad wings is really a great album

  • Man, he can do some loud screams! THEY ARE AWESOME! I like the one at the end of Painkiller.

  • 11 personas sin gusto musical vieron este video :)

  • 10 idiots are tyrants

  • 10 men shall fall

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH PEOPLE JUDAS PRIEST IS FOR EVER!!!!!

  • Best rock Screamers:

    1.Rob Halford

    2.Ian Gillian

    3.King Diamond

    4.Bruce Dickinson

    5.Michael Kiske

  • my ears just came...omg..

  • this is a song about obama king tut o' the world bad ass mofo

  • @iorixs dude obama sucks cock fuck off

  • long scream at the end, but only 1/3 the length of the machine gunn eddie scream

  • @MABfan11 and the rest of that song is crap compared to this..that dude is not even in Halfords league

  • I always thought of judas priest as an advanced black sabbath for the 70's or an introduction to the 80's metal that awaits

  • @MrLemmy2000 Yeah, among others they were architects of the NWOBHM

  • @MrLemmy2000

    This, advanced Black Sabbath?

Dude, Black Sabbath made monster Heavy Metal (Classic Heavy and Doom Metal), doom, dark songs, before Judas Priest started releasing records.

Also, Judas Priest started doing Heavy Metal music with "Screaming For Vengeance".

    This is pure Blues.

  • Comment removed

  • @WishmasterTheDark Kinda buttin' in here but pardon my 2 cents... Read those lyrics...this is as doom as is gets. Black Sabbath and Priest are inevitably rock which is blues based at its core anyway.

  • @kyuss4me

    To read lyrics? Ahahahahahahaa!

Idiot, music matters, not lyrics. Ahahahahaaa!

  • @WishmasterTheDark Why do bands have vocalists if lyrics don't matter? Does calling me an idiot make you feel superior to me? I hope so because you need something to elevate yourself to my level.

  • @kyuss4me

So, lyrics make music genres? Ahahahaha!

  • Comment removed

  • @WishmasterTheDark If you don't listen to the lyrics you're missing out on a lot, that's all I have to say. If you listen to this purely for the musical value, you're not appreciating the whole of what the band is conveying.

If Priest was purely for instrumental musical value, Rob Halford would probably be humming or singing babble. We have voices to speak, so when singing it's logical to speak also.

Singing without something to say ..maybe you would rather straight-up guitar riffs and no solo.

  • @Xenodemic

Idiot, I'm trying to say that lyrics don't affect music genres or sub-genres. Save your philosophy for yourself.

  • overkill did a great version of this . the vocals are ace. well worth a listen.

  • I can sometimes succeed the scream but not for the whole ten seconds. Probably could with some vocal training though.

  • Thumbs up if you tried to do the scream at the end and succeeded

  • Sad Wings Of Destiny is the BEST JP's album. Period.

  • @GREXUMER Well that´s your own opinion dude .-)

  • @GREXUMER Sin After Sin is also the best, Stained Class too...and Screaming for Vengeance....and Rocka Rolla...>_>...and British Steel...>.>...and Defenders of the Faith...o.O...Ok nevermind, I just CAN'T decide which one I like best!!! :(

  • @pachendrix forgot painkiller too

  • @mmmitsdesean Painkiller is simply awesome, but only because is extremely overrated by everyone and people overlook on every other Priest album because of it, it goes lower on my list of best albums.

  • @pachendrix I just love painkiller because made judas priest ascend into metal gods. I know its overrated but mostly for the good. I love old school priest but you could hear throughout every album that they were heading for a painkiller album

  • @GREXUMER I totally agree!

  • @GREXUMER Stained Class, Sin After Sin, British Steel, Screaming For Vengance=The best albums ever.

  • @GREXUMER Duh.

  • If this doesn't make you feel like banging your head, then we can't be friends :)

  • @soulschizm2424 If you can actually listen to Tyrant without skipping back to the to the opening riff about 5 million times before you actually allow the song to play the whole way through always and forever and it doesn't make you seethe every time you play it and it never gets old don't call me your friend because; you don't have raw emotions, you're not physical, you're not intense, you're stupid, you suck, we're aliens to each other and you can fuck off forever and die!

  • @nkmcfrln hahaha classic, the opening riff is audible crack

  • @NZealandKiwi HaHaHa, right back atchya! Good analogy.

  • @nkmcfrln Hideous destructor!

  • @DeMachman Conqueror of all!

  • That last note...oh lawdy.

  • thanks

  • which year was this recorded? in the middle of a song sounds like german heavy metal

  • which year was this recorded?

  • @hmcccp It was recorded in late 1975

  • @GoJays09 That is insane.

  • OLD METAL IS THE ONE AND ONLY METAL!!!!

  • At 3:26, is it Halford making the voice and the voiceover?

    It's fucking awesome.

  • Capture of humanity

    conqueror of all ♫ ~

  • Thumbs up if you tried to do that scream at the end and failed.

  • @DJstoopnig Only Rob Halford can do the Rob Halford Roar! Eric Adams tried, but instead he just stuck to his own screaming. The lead singer of 3 Inches of Blood was cursed for trying too hard. ^_^

  • @DJstoopnig i can do it xD

  • @yafazudametalero Same! xD

  • @DJstoopnig I didn't fail,but my throat still hurts...

  • @DJstoopnig i did it well ;D *trollface*

  • @DJstoopnig I did a half-assed attempt. Almost did it! :D

  • @DJstoopnig and what if you could do that ?

because years of screaming with priest , finally let me nail that scream

    im 20 btw ;) Priest forever \m/

  • @DJstoopnig thumbs down if you nail it? lol

  • @DJstoopnig 25 years later and I still try to do my Rob Halford screams. What a great voice!

  • @DJstoopnig LOL. I totally tried and just blew out my friggin' tonsils! Only Halford can hit that shit.

  • @DJstoopnig Hahaha... ahhhhh I've failed so many times xD

  • @DJstoopnig ... And EPIC falied...

  • @DJstoopnig Lol 132 people are not smart enough to know they´re not Halford

  • Good tyrany is better than good democracy!

  • @Voodoozeko Absolute piffle. Ridiculous statement. Have a word with yourself.

  • @PerignonPop Bbuahahah you are worng i dont have a word with myself but with you cuz you replied to me so that makes your statement stupid and ilogical ; ) But hey its your problem if you dont agree! Tyrant wasnt originaly negative thing you know. Termin is now used to the enemies of the west and has negetive sound nowdays but that dosent mean tyranny is bad. Its like i would say democracy is so great while my country bombs and kills so many lifes in the name of democracy and natural resources.

  • This is By far My Favorite Judas Priest of all time.

  • ten people must die [2]

  • havent heard this in years!!!! love it!!!!!!

  • to some people metal was born with zeppelin to others with deep purple to others with black sabbath but in my opinion ( i don't know what the rest think ) the real sound of heavy metal was born with JUDAS PRIEST !!!!

  • @ultimatemanofwar

    I agree 110%

  • @ultimatemanofwar was born with that 4

  • ten people must die

  • the second solo sounds too awesome!! shit!

  • This album gave birth to Iron Maiden.

  • @black87FXR Maiden formed a year before this album came out.

  • @Jackiechan39 Yeah but Maiden never put out an album until 4 years later.

  • Freedom choked in dread we live, since Tyrant was ENTHR0:00-O-O-ONED

  • 10 people must be destructed by Tyrant

  • hate to say it...the backup vocals are just not right.

the lead is enough on its own....

I second the Holy Shit on the second guitar solo....that's AWESOME!

  • @issofunky no way man the backup vocals make it even more awesome.

  • @issofunky Listen to the live version. It doesn't have them. Personally, I like them.

  • @issofunky The first time I heard this, I admit I laughed at Rob doing his own backup like that. It grows on you.

  • @ADeadHeaDz You think that sounds funny? Listen to the live version on Unleashed In the East. He does the same backup part with no punch-in.

  • A good song in a good album that have a good cover

  • @Ronin3453 Replace all those "goods" with "FUCKING AWESOME"!!! Anyway rock (metal) on my fellow JP fan!!!

  • @hermygagala ....Dude thats sum funny shit! I can't stop laughing...Priest!!

  • @hermygagala hehheh actually you are "FUCKING RIGHT!" :D

  • Oh it's "tyrant"... I had it wrong my whole life. I thought they were saying "tired" lol. Oops.

  • do those 10 ppl listen to justin beiber??

  • @KissOfDeth913

  • Metal really began when paul mccartney strapped on a richenbacher and cranked helter skelter up to 11! lol

  • Saw priest at a small show in louisville ky just after stained class came out! handed beers to ian hill all day lol halford had long red hair no leather no harley no effects! just kick ass metal!!

  • @vedicardi Yeah, total music orgasm =)

  • @vedicardi glenn tipton and his standard staccato buzzsaw awesomeness.

  • @jr55ful it's a duet with both tipton and downing IIRC

  • Best album cover ever!

  • The Best Band !! <3 I Love Priest!

  • THE FIRST JUDAS PRIEST TRIDENT LOGO THERE

  • the tyrant can have me as a slave so i can hear this song forever though the whips and chains will be a buzz kill but what ever the songs still awesome.

  • huh? what about led zeppelin and deep purple?

    many things defined metal,

  • @ilomer21 those werent metal, although they did some metal related things, but still they were the embodiments of rock and thats just as important.

  • I guess this album, Rocka Rolla and the first 4 of Black Sabbath defined Heavy Metal...

  • Say I meant.

  • Now this is traditional metal!!!!!

P.S. I hate how people day heavy metal and metal are two different things.
