  • sorry i meant the antholgy was realeased ing 1995 not 1988

  • uummm you do realize they arent actually all playing this together in concert, this song was released in 1988 for The Beatles anthology using some vocals from an un finished demo recording that Lennon made before he died in 1980 so this concert could not have happened

  • john lennon died in 1980 -.-

  • amo esta cancion the beatles 4ever

  • Am I the only one who noticed the length of the video is 4:20?

  • Lennon was dead in 1994 though :L

  • This is amazingly done, must have taken ages to put it all together. Thanks for posting

  • これは労作!すげえや

  • This is as close as we will ever get to the Fab Four restoration and we should be very thankful. Even without John and George "This is The Beatles" and we'll never forget them.

  • @boxlore69 George was with them in 1994 - watch the video

  • excelente montaje,le doy un 10.salud

  • john was not present in this concert..........but video and the editing was just great and off course the song too :)

  • grt wrk

  • I finally get a chance to give respects and much love to George. Love to you brother.

  • @xoRayanne Omg READ the description. We all know that John was dead by this point, but it doesn't mean one of his home demos can't be re-recorded into a finished Beatles track.

  • good videomixage! The dream don't die

  • ha ha 1994

  • i like paul and everything, but he ruins the song

  • @nunchaku1992 How exactly?

  • @xoRayanne this song was re-recorded with the remaining members for the first anthology that was released in 94

  • Lennon está cantando otro tema en las imagenes, pero está bien montado. Éste tema junto con Real love, los había grabado en maqueta Lennon y los otros tres lo grabaron utilizando la voz de John, que adolece de buen sonido, pero resulta pasable.

  • his is died 80' OMG jonh not dead??? Oo

  • freee as a birrd best song

  • If only!,,,

  • Okay I get it perfectly, if this song was made in 1994 then how did John sing it?

  • Does no-one actually read past comments? I've come across basically the same comment at least 7 different times.

No, this video is not real, *but*

Yes, John *did* sing for this song, *before* he died, meaning,

The song is *not* an "official" Beatles song, but they did all contribute to it.

Look, 2 + 2, through the Lennon spectrum, equals Peace... or something to that effect anyway.

  • Oh shit, how strong old age is spoils people.... i mean how they looks

  • @xoRayanne the point is that it is a "what if"... it's a studio recording, and it's a juxtaposition of footage of Lennon, and late 80s/90s footage of the other Beatles.

  • maravilloso!!!1

  • @xoRayanne Muster Trolly MucTrollerson certainly had a field day with this vid, didn't he?

  • Hasn't anyone watched the anthology video to understand what went on ? The three remaining, contemplated what to do for the anthology video. They stated (long ago) that if all four weren't in on a tune, then it wouldn't be done (as Beatles).... They (one of the three) contacted Yoko to see if she had anything that John had done that was laying around. The audio tape of this, is what Yoko sent to them.... Is all explained in the anthology videos.

  • this is fake. John died in 1980 and that clip of him playing the piano is from the madison square garden concert in 1972

  • @BassGuitar916 We know this, please read the caption before judging.

  • Like George's slide work!!

  • Comment removed

  • Fake!! John Lennon died in 1980. it's collage video i guess.

  • This clip is not ok. It's obviously not authentic and as such is SPAM!

  • @Burqua12 This clip is not spam. The Beatles together again in 1994, playing their new song: Free as a bird!

Can you imagine they together again, playing in a concert?

P.S. Of course that never happened. Actually, the song was recorded in 1994 (yes, after Lennon´s death), but thIs video is just a EDITION with scenes of clips from each other concerts. I put all that scenes together, synchronizing the song with their lips and instruments as I could.

  • George Harrison 's slide is amazing !!

  • @xoRayanne Edited with random clips

  • Dream is not hard...

  • Haha, you fooled me for a second there! Brilliant! You should go into film industry. Thanks! ;)

  • for everybody Paul is the singer in the concert John is a hologram on a screen

the single released in 1994 or 1995 john wrote the song in 1977!

thumbs up for everybody to see!!!

  • Was für ein Müll. Ich hasse das Internet. Die letzten Kindheitsträume werden einem hier genommen.

  • their voices dont match the video

  • Just to clear up confusion john recorded this song before his death but it was unreleased, in 94 when anthology was released the remaining beatles did a one off show in the england which is what you see here - the 3 living beatles at the time with john dubbed in. And they only played this 1 song.

  • @TheBoro87 Thank you for you nice clarification, hopefully, people will read this in the future and no longer wonder why John is there.

  • Lo mejor de lo mejor... que mas esperar de los Beatles!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is 100% real

  • Great job! I wonder about it quite often...what if they had stayed together. Isn't it a pity.

  • I really dont like cobbled together video's trying to pretend its the real thing

  • @godlyelf get a life

  • @matchbox555 Um....yes.....ok....strange

  • Excellent song, but FAKE. John Lennon died 1980. You would think for someone who knew that this song even existed, he knew when john lennon passed away

  • This is fake fake and fake he is putting diffent videos to try recreate a concert

  • wtf! just happend here how the fuck can john lennon still live if this is 1994 and his death was in 1980!!, LOOL???

  • @MrMattis121 From the Caption below: The Beatles together again in 1994, playing their new song: Free as a bird!

  • @stevenlougher Ok now i get it! Thanks mate!

  • @MrMattis121 You're welcome!

  • i hope you know john lennon death in 1980 and this is at 1994???? wtf???

  • @beatlesraul From the Caption below: The Beatles together again in 1994, playing their new song: Free as a bird!

  • please you tube can i send this last recordto a freind

  • @keegangerrard Do you have iTunes or an iPod? The Beatles Anthology is part of the Beatles collection, which means both "Free as a Bird" (1994) and "Real Love" (1995) are available for purchase.

  • @stevenlougher who needs an ipod or an itunes when ive got you tube you can not get much better then you tube.

  • @keegangerrard YouTube doesn't actually have the authorization to play this song. iTunes has the rights with the Past Masters collection. Since, you wanted to send it to a friend, I suggest e-mailing the link you that person.

  • love this its a classic from a beatlefan and liverpudian

  • George Harrison guitar slide is beautiful !

  • wow..outstanding job on this!

  • Excellent editing on this video. Looks pretty real!! We could only wish!

  • nice!!!

  • how did they make john lennon's voice?

  • @EricDias96 They didn't it's his original recording that the Beatles added to in February 1994. The song is real!

  • @stevenlougher yeah but how did they record john lennon's voice?

  • @EricDias96 John's voice and piano came with the unfinished demo tapes Yoko gave Paul. The remaining Beatles then selected three songs for production. Free as a Bird, Real Love, and the never released Now and Then. They began production of Free as a Bird in February 1994 (the 30th anniversary of their first trip to the US). John had already done a good portion of the song, but there were missing parts with some of the verses he hadn't quite finished, and James (Paul), George, and Richard fin

  • @stevenlougher ished the song with their own additions, and you have your last Beatles song written by the entire group. Real Love was recorded the following year February 1995, and Now and Then February 1996, but at the time the original John Lennon recording could not be cleaned up, and they scrapped it. Other fans have gone through and cleaned up the John Lennon track for them, so if the remaining Beatles ever decided to finish it they certainly have the tools to do so.

  • @stevenlougher ohhh well its very nice lol

  • the cool thing is that its very realistic, cause if i didn't readed the information i really would think it really happened xD

  • this is the year i was born and also the year i started loving the beatles <3

  • John Lennon stood up for the truth, and we must do the same. Without the truth, there can be no real morality, justice, equality, success, freedom, love, security, peace, spirituality or even survival. Go to TRUTHCONTEST(dot)com, then open The Present and read what it says to learn the truth of life.

  • this ain't no freebird

  • Wake up you all, the dream is really over. Lennon was murdered and the world is in an endless war...

  • I cried when I heard this song,too..They are part of my life...

  • I wish this was real too.

  • How I wish it was real... :'(

  • VERY VERY NICE JOB..LOTTA WORK AND WELL DONE..THANKS!!

  • Free as a bird was made in 1977 and Lennon wasn't around in1994 he was shot dead in 1980

  • @MultiDean98 You are partially correct, the recording of John's voice and the piano are from 1977. The remaining Beatles had a reunion in 1994 with producer George Martin and finished two unfinished Lennon songs with his voice. They attempted to do a third with Now and Then, but failed to removed the annoying buzz from the Lennon recording. Here is the footage from the recording.

  • @stevenlougher Look up the video Free as a Bird/ Real Love Studio Footage in the seach engine.

  • im gonna cry i wasnt alive even in 1994

  • Nicely done!!! thank you so much for the found memories...!

  • Good job,Sir ! I really love it .

  • For anyone who didn't know, this is a Lennon song. He wrote it long before he was murdered. The Beatles collaborated in 1994 with his very old, choppy demo tapes. Techinocally Lennon is on the song. It's his voice re-mastered. The music is everyone else. I heard the original tape, and it's Lennon on piano.

  • Un lindo y buen trabajo ;)

  • MY FAV. BEATLES SONG !! this song is just PERFECT, every single part of it! It just gets better and better til an amazing end, with Georges orgasmic guitar playing! brilliant, just brilliant!

  • The Beatles were done as soon as there best man died. You have the wrong date.

  • Their is only 1 thing missing in this Video.....John Lennon :'(

  • lennon had died by 1994

  • Leave it to the remaining Beatles to come up with this amazing song.

  • You do realise it's the three surviving members of the band with John Lennon super imposed with the aid of a projector onto the stage, He may be dead... But he was there in spirit :)

  • @Jetting09 that's a video collage man.. None of the Beatles are in the same stage...

  • si no le gusta esta cancion a ese puto que se valla a la mierda

  • whoa, great job

  • Goerge reminds us here with the blistering slide guitar riff that he was one of the great guitar players of his time. Absolutely haunting.....!

  • Good job man...but it's not real!

    Pity!

  • dude! your video wont load

  • If only this was real.. :/

  • Really made me cry (; - ; )

  • Is it normal that I cry while I watch this video high?

  • Lennon was dead 14 years b4 this

  • Fake

  • But John Lennon was dead for at least 10 years by '94

  • 106 people don't know what art is u.u

  • they,, never did it ...listen

  • Cool

  • 104 people are not Free As A Bird.

  • I like and only dream wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh dear folks. A lot of handbags at dawn on this thread. From an old Fabs fan, come on guys (most of you are guys), admit this video is a stroke of inspiration. Four men who changed music forever, back together in concert for the first time since the rooftop concert, the way it should be but never was. Note the applause - not screaming girls, but an adult audience reliving their youth. Surpassed only by by the official Free as a Bird video and the Beatles Love album. Jai guru deva om.

  • John Lennon in 1994?

  • @alvarosaldanha The Ghost =P

  • whit you video¡ THE DREAMS IS NOT OVER! BEATLES WAS ALIVE IN 1994 :O IS A WISH REAL OK NO XD

this song make me cry and feel tranquility

  • I didnt see it until it was on TV,,,,, for me that was 1995............ and I cried cause something happened that not only myself but the whole world wanted for 25 years.

There was only one problem...... The most important member of the group had been MURDERED 15 years ago......

If that piece of shit ever gets out.... I swear to God.... I'll kill him myself.... I dont care if I'm 90 either.... He walks... he dies.

  • @mcarroll1031 Lennon was not the most important member of the group. McCartney was just as vital to the make up and the success of The Beatles. Lennon himself even knew that.

Yeah, what happend to Lennon was a tragedy. And not just because he was a Beatle, but because he was an innocent human being that was murdered. But make no mistake, if Chapman had killed someone in your family, or mine, he would have been out of jail a long time ago... and no one would give a shit.

  • @mcarroll1031 The most important?

  • @mcarroll1031 thats not what john would have wanted he was all about peace... he would forgive him for killing someone if john were still with us... only true lennon fans know that and i know your a true fan to your just so filled with anger you didnt see that its not what john wouldve wanted.

  • @mcarroll1031 i agree..honestly i think he'll die in prison, hes probably a lot safer there 2. A LOT of ppl would def. like 2 kill him (me included)

  • @mcarroll1031 u r a loyal fan

  • @mcarroll1031 wow, for a 90 year old, you sure have the energy and ambition of an 80 year old!

  • @mcarroll1031 John isn't the most important person in the group, so stop being ignorant

  • @mcarroll1031 Well, they had recovered a 1977 vocal track that John Lennon had recorded. Then they had recorded their instruments, and the chorus' you know, all that stuff. So you actually DO hear THE Beatles throughout the song. You even hear Lennon's voice. All four are there, except all four weren't. Three were there with a past of the fourth. That's why they had said they had brought The Beatles back together but at the same time they hadn't.

  • @mcarroll1031 Don't wanna get myself arrested, but let me get a punch in before you kill him, and maybe a couple more, oh, and a few kicks, maybe some choice words (words I won't say right now). That's all I ask

  • @mcarroll1031

Why would you kill someone over killing someone else? John Lennon wouldn't want that, he was all about peace.

  • @mcarroll1031 dude even if your completely passed out, that doesnt mean you need to kill him. He had mental problems and he was a dumbass. But you never desire death to anbody, I dont care what your going to say. You never desire death. Truly The Beatles fans, better Truly music fans never desire death to anybody . I really dont have a clue how ur comment reached the top.

P.S - Dont response you will get ignored. (Sorry for my poor english)

  • @PeterSteves Ok, so let's say mcarrol1031 hear your words and forget about killing him. Now there's just about half billion people you'll have to talk about not doing it.

  • @mcarroll1031 anda a cagar , Boludo!!!!

    trans:go fock yerself,asshole!!!

  • @uiopuiopooo That is the best name you could come up with? I E poopy-pooh?

    What a fag.

  • @mcarroll1031 I'll be there , too . He walks ... he dies

  • @Omiewise65 Then you just like Lennon's music, not his beliefs and values. Give Peace a Chance.

  • @mcarroll1031 That's not what John would have wanted...Yoko even spoke in favor of his parole. The man is mentally unstable and he lives in regret for what he's done.

  • @mcarroll1031 What about peace and love? Isn't that what the Beatles were always saying? All you need is love? Especially John Lennon, and how much he tried to make people love and not hate each other.

I'm angry at Mark D. Chapman too, but killing him wouldn't bring John back, and I don't think that's what he would have wanted either. Killing another person, regardless of their actions is wrong, because if you do, you're no better then them.

    Rest in peace John Lennon.

  • @TheMeatballSandwich2 That is why we get arrested and get sent to prison to beat him up everyday! Im Kidding of course.

  • @mcarroll1031 You can´t kill him if I kill him first! That fuckin´piece of shit will suffer for that! DECAPITATION!!!!

  • @xXxRashidFxXx Decapitation? Thats not suffering. Torture, now thats the road to go down...

  • @mcarroll1031 I think Lennon was so kindhearted that he wouldn't even wish death upon his murderer.

  • Well done sir

  • Excellent job, my friend! You really caught me, when I saw ir for first time without reading the information, I thought it was real!!

    Greetings!!

  • This is a WONDERFUL video! I almost wanted to believe it was real. How you can come to love someone you have never known is the ultimate sign of real love.Wish the whole world could catch onto that.

  • the four fantastic ever

  • But anyway.....I have to say that you edited this in such a way, that it actually looks like they did perform in this year

  • xDDDDDD You have to be the biggest retard in the world.

    1.John died in 1980

2.The Beatles never made a FULL reunion

  • @lukagaca You might be the retard. Read the goddam description. Grow a brain before posting shit on youtube, Troll.

  • @DGCrandomness Troll? Me? You are badly mistaken. This is I think the first negative comment I wrote in the past 6 months or so, I'm just a smart-ass who thinks he knows everything xDD

  • Greatest Rockumentary Ever! 4 Wisemen from Liverpool! "4 guys in a band that made it really big" together on a great song again. Very cool as it was & is & will be forever...The Beatles are #1!

  • Nice job

  • Comment removed

  • Are they together? awwww... i want it be true. RIP John and George... :(

  • I thought you made a mistake by having George sing lead vocal at 2:50. I looked the song up and it actually is him!

And don't get me wrong, I definitely know George's voice, but somehow the effect they used on the vocals or the mix or something, I couldn't tell and thought it was Paul. Listening to it closer, I can tell it's George's now, and that just makes it even more powerful

This song's really poignant, and great job on the editing. Usually editing jobs get a lot of dislikes, but not this

  • Great Job of editing. They look look like they could have been. John said if they had continued to play together, they would have sounded more like ELO.

  • This song and video really makes you realize the fragility of life. If that one man had not shot John Lennon, all 4 Beatles would have definitely reunited. I'm sure they'd play a live show. There'd definitely be new songs, and probably some albums, and it would have affected millions upon millions of people many generations down.

And if George Harrison's wife hadn't defended George from being stabbed, we wouldn't have seen one more solo album from him.

This song just really makes me tear up.
