@BlueSharkBoy434 depends on what you define as critically poor. over half the world lives on less than USD 2.50 a day. so if that's your threshhold, you can give $20 to all those people and support them for 8 days. or you can set up a foundation like gates has and put yours and other absurdly wealthy peoples' capital to work on specific projects that will have a much bigger, more positive influence long term, as opposed to just redistributing what ends up being a paltry amount per person.
