Outstanding dialogue. With Alfred telling the story about the crazy bandit in Burma, you get the sense that this isn't just run of the mill advice he's giving to Bruce. It's what he learned through hard-won experience.
When Christopher Nolan is done with Batman, I hope he delves into Alfred's story. There's at least one good script there..
The dialogue in this movie is amazing. Caine makes an awesome Alfred. I loved his speech about how he was chasing the diamond thief and how he was throwing away the diamonds. "Some men just want to see the world burn."
@Byrnzi360 That line always freaked me out because it's absolute truth. In fact, what Alfred said about 'burning the jungle down' is the same idealism of 'Raz Al Ghul' from 'Batman Begins'..........He believed that the only way to really end the various forms of corruption within a corrupt city was to destroy the city itself. But Bruce Wayne saw beyond that. Bruce Wayne was aware that good people exist in Gotham (learned that from his dad and Alfred himself) so he chose an alternate path.

@Byrnzi360 isn't that like a war crime? or a crime against nature? Seems like Bruce should be fighting Alfred...
