overall i think crosby is better than forsberg because at such a young age crosby had accomplished so much considering that in my opinion sid is better, Also he's been scoring alot of goals now in the nhl which is certainly incredible because nhl is more tougher than what it used to be now we have better goalies better Defence so overall sid is better. i think crosby will have more goals, more assits and more points than foresberg at the end of his carrer

It's a hell of alot easier to score goals and collect points now than it was in the 90's when you could do basically whatever you wanted and not get a penalty. Forsberg is the best two-way player that has ever played the game in my opinion, and that's that.
Crosby is good, very good, but is he as good as Forsberg was? I'm not so sure.

If Forsberg and Lidström had been Canadian, they'd have been ranked above the gods in North American media.
With that being said, Peter Forsberg was one hell of a hockeyplayer, i have yet to see such individual effort from for ex. Sidney Crosby.
Comparing points pre and post cap era is quite flawed seeing as rules changed since, etc.
Sidney Crosby might break Peter Forsbergs career, but not yet at very least.
Peter Forsberg is a two time triple gold member amongst few, for example.

Becoming only the third teenager in NHL history to score 100 points joing Gretzky and Hawlerchuk he was also the youngest in history to score 100 points and he did it on a very bad team. Ya he was the youngest but its my belief that age shouldnt decide a players skill or what he should/shouldnt get, like awards. No one is debating whether or not Crosby is a great player. Besides you act as if he creamed the record, he beat the guy by 4 months with being the youngest, and he didnt even win the calder. 1995 was the lockout year with 48 games played, so ya he played 47 and got 50..then the following year, won the cup.
