No, Edith Piaf's "Padam" has nothing to do with this particular waltz. This as it's said before is a soundtrack to the famous russian movie "Look out the car" and the composer is a russian musition Andrew Petrov.
i can upload the footage on this camera to image mixer 3(the program that came with it) but from there i cant get the footage onto my computer hard drive or anything so i can't edit it or upload to youtube. can anyone help?
I saw the sideways flowers at first and thought you were one of those people who trys to hold their video camera sideways. I was all like "Oh no they didn't!" : ) Out of curiousity, what software and export settings did you use?
When editing video in AVCHD format, how does your Premiere CS4 software fare when it comes to speed?
Only reason I ask is that I was using Corel Ulead Videostudio and the editing, even on my computer (which is a dedicated photo/video processing system) was slower than anything you could possibly imagine. If I could find a decent software to accompany this Camcorder that will edit smoothly, I will be satisfied.
This is a common problem with editing AVCHD. I have exactly the same experience editing in CS4. I have to bump up priority on the CS Image rendering process, for my laptop to handle editing.
I've read that Sony Vegas and iMovie can handle AVCHD better.
I Use the Sony HDR SR12 in cobination with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum, and thi software can handle AVCHD pretty good. But you need a good PC, Quad Core at least and lot of Rams ;)
I have the same camera and I agree with you. Sony Vegas Pro handles it better and I have a dual core with 4gb of ram. If I have nothing but Sony Vegas or Premiere Pro while editing running it plays fairly well.
did you upload your video straight from the camera or did you run in thru some software / postprocessing? i just got the same camera, videos uploaded on youtube (straight from the camera) play in slow motion...
Yes, it is true, it lasts roughly 58-60min. If you are planning on recording prolonged scenes, like weddings, performances, it makes sense to get an extended battery.
Also, check out HFS200 it's 40% cheaper then HFS100 or HFS10.
How far can you zoom?

@hamercalif I am not a music expert by any means. Try playing two songs and you I'll hear striking similarities.

What song is this?
erinn172 2 years ago
This waltz is form classic Russian movie "Warning Cars". I think original tune is French, it's called Padam Padam, Edith Piaf sings it.
mya77 2 years ago
@mya77
I'm still having trouble finding it, could you maybe link me to a list of that Russian movie's soundtrack?
erinn172 2 years ago
I have the new canon vixia HD and when I upload vids to youtube it looks nothing like this at all. Im about to throw the camera away.

as always canon delivers. I'm almost sold on this camera. But I've heard the battery that comes with the kit only last 1 hr...is this true?
xtreme2331 2 years ago

thx for reply. Is it also true that there is no battery charger that comes with the kit???
xtreme2331 2 years ago
thats not true. it comes with a power adapter that charges the battery.
A full charge on highest quality settings will get you at least 90 mins.
lower settings will get you longer.
jbc429 2 years ago
wait , do you mean the hf200?. because I havn't seen an HFS-200.

try searching amazon
mya77 2 years ago
and also what are the settings on?
Peterpufferbelly 2 years ago
Up to about 1:54 is was using 30p, vivid colour, cloudy preset.
From 1:54 24p, cinemode, normal colouring.
mya77 2 years ago
are the settings hard to configure on this camera?
Peterpufferbelly 2 years ago
It really depends on your experience with cameras. My other camera is Panasonic DVX100b, so I didn't have any problems with HF S100 features.
I think, there is some learning curve for the average user, it's not too steep though.
