Rosehasthorns, YOU ruined everything, and it wasn't the nicest way. :p listen to the song. its talking about the moment that never lasts very long that most if not all parents go crap what did I do, my life was great and now I have a kid. Then you realize how great the kid is.. hence the, "You ruined everything... In the NICEST way".
@Templaridm i am aware what the song is about. The fact that a mom is proud of the fact that their child was not wanted is what i find disgusting. Why would you want your child to know that they were a mistake?
A perfect antidote to the "scariest video ever" re global warming which I couldn't even watch, based on comments - that link had been sent to me by my ex husband (he also told me to turn on the tv, early in the morning on September 11!) Somehow I clicked on this and ended up weeping and being glad to be alive. I emailed the link to my ex. He'll weep too. Such a beautiful thing. Thanks to whoever did it....we need this WAY more than goddamn gloom and doom at this point.
My favorite line in song used to be, how can Miss you if you wont go away. You ruined everything in the nicest way, has now bumped it to number 2. Somehow I find such self contradictory statements the best way to say things outside the box.
Wow. Soooo sweet. I teared up, and my face hurts from grinning so big. The only reason I haven't run to squeeze the dickens out of my two little ones is that they're both napping. Nice, nice. :-)

Its about that oh shit moment you get when you have a child
when you realize what you just did. When your world was just made perfect and it was all good
and you tossed that away when you had your child. Regardless if you wanted or didnt want your baby. That moment hits you.

Cut from the lyrics -

That seems to say quite clearly they love the kid and that things were good and now they are better then they were before.
