I remember seeing Donovan play 5 years ago, he wasn't great, and I've seen him grow and improve, now he's U.S.'s star, and he is still not the best in the world, but a player that dedicates that much and plays with the heart like he does deserves respect from everybody in the world, Donovan you are great =)

of course, any player who does not play in Europe aspires to do so. Look at the Brazilian and Argentinian leagues, although these nations are regularly in the top 5 FIFA rankings, almost all of each team's players play somewhere in Europe.
So of course, when an European powerhouse, like Bayern Munich comes calling, why wouldn't any player want to go there.

idk it seems like hes not sure wat he wants. . one side he wants to stay in MLS to train the youth and make a better US Soccer team and fan base for the future. . he can do that in Europe but its not working hand in hand wit the youth soccer teams like he does now. . But on the other side if he was in Europe it would put US as a bost like u said plus if would give him the trainin that he could use. . n would problly make him one of the best plays in the world after

He should've stayed in Europe and make his way in one of the smaller teams there...like Dempsey or McBride in Fulham. I really think he could have been really successful...my opinion.

of course, any player who does not play in Europe aspires to do so. Look at the Brazilian and Argentinian leagues, although these nations are regularly in the top 5 FIFA rankings, almost all of each team's players play somewhere in Europe.
So of course, when an European powerhouse, like Bayern Munich comes calling, why wouldn't any player want to go there.
