Anderson vs. Vitor is a great fight indeed. However I seriously doubt that Vitor could hold the belt long, considering the caliber of wrestlers in the ufc, and vitors track record against wrestlers. it just seems to me that If a guy gets Vitor on his back, he quits like 90% of the time and gives a decision or tko stoppage. hope he got over all his "mental issues" and that is just a part of his past. however I've sat through enough Vitor comebacks to be a little skeptical. hope I'm wrong.

Off the top of my head I see his track record against world calibre wrestlers being 4-1 with his sole win being vs Lindland who had an already questionable chin before the fight, and his losses to Tito,Randy twice and Henderson showed that wrestlers are his poison. Infact Chael would be his worst matchup to go against in the MW devision in the UFC while him vs Anderson will be a even 50/50 matchup since Anderson posseses no wrestling in his arsenal.

@goldentrophy imo Vitor is a bit of a puzzle. and I say that because he's a Carlson Gracie BJJ black belt, and what that SHOULD mean is that if a wrestler takes him down Vitor should actually be in a comfortable position, going for sweeps, armlocks, triangles, the works. instead, he just lays there and takes a beating. many have said through the years that it was due to personal issues and what not. he's a mistery to me. I think he doesnt have much heart to be honest. hope I'm wrong.

Fightersdream is actually right. I'd say he is working on speed which may be why he hasn't stuck a jab, but the way tompkins just disengages and casually circles after a combo does really do anything for vitor.

Then again, maybe they aren't trying to work real hard right now. Maybe they are warming up a bit

I haven't seen 1 good jab thrown by Belfort in this whole Video and Tompkins doesn't make him work his reflexes and footwork while working on the mitts. Something VItor ( foottwork) should really work on

- Keep moving and utilize head movement

- Jab, jab and jab some more. Work your jab a lot.

- Keep your eyes on your opponent not on the focus mitts
