Damn... Why does everyone get up in arms when an artist makes a cover of an older song? Everyone talks about how they love the original and hate this one, they say Mark ruined it... I like this version, Santogold's voice add's a nice edge to the song and Mark did well with the instrumentation... And if not for him, a lot of younger people wouldnt know the original... Pretty Green, first track (I believe) on the Jams' Sound Effects album. I don't think it was ever released as a single, at least not in the UK anyway. I was quite surprise when I heard her sing this with Ronson at Glastonbury?? Don't think this is the same track. I would be surprised if she ever heard the song before Ronson suggested it!!
