When I have a kid, iI'm gunna read him Lovecraft stories before he goes to bed. Well, if the Great Old Ones allow me to live if they return before then.
@MrDevonlewis O, children let my story begin,We spend our Solstice with kin. But throughout these cold and icy nights, Just beware of family fights. If you want to study ancient lore, In your families home from days of yore,You might think that you'll learn the truth you crave, From your ancestors beyond the grave!
@MrDevonlewis Let some old progenitor,Creep through an unearthly door. And this old forefather once revived, Just might want to stay alive. So before you summon anyone, Go and get yourself a loaded gun. Keep your candles burning all around, And be sure that you can put him down!
I /need/ to learn this song. TCoCDW was the first Lovecraft story I ever read and I have a weird attachment to it even though some of the other stories were really more my speed. Having it sung in carol form brings me so much joy you do not even know. This might just turn out to be the song that teaches me to sing. O-O
Joseph Curwen, the centuries-old vampire-necromancer was a bit too much for poor Charles Ward. :( Want to live forever? Just worship Yog-Sothoth 3 times a year and your spells will find their way to your mortal reincarnation.
Did anyone else who read that story think that the Ghostbusters II kinda ripped off (I mean payed homage to) the whole possessed painting that helps the evil demi-god get reincarnated??
I wrote the lyrics for this song. It's fun to find here on youtube and I'm glad to see that people seem to like it. It was a great experience to work with The HPLHS on this project and to those of you who haven't yet seen The Whisperer in Darkness; let me tell you - It's fantastic!
@Jbuchreitz Really? That's awesome. Go Summon Up The Dead Ones is easily one of my favorite tracks from An Even Scarier Solstice. It's really catchy and very well put together. Great work.
"before you summon anyone go and get yourself a loaded gun. Keep your candles burning all around and be sure you can put him down" This made me happy. :) thanks.
are these cthulhu songs avoidable as MP3 anywhere? I'm like them on my phone.

@BanefullyIllusive Yes, I know that. Let me be more specific. Where is that particular picture of Cthulu from? :p
Aveiraslover 1 month ago
@Aveiraslover Well, it's on the cover of Call of Cthulhu: And Other Dark Tales, so I assume it's just the book cover.

@MrDevonlewis I'll do my best, but I may hear things wrong.
Chorus-
Go, summon up the Dead Ones,
Chanting the rites of Yog-Sothoth!
Go, summon up the Dead Ones,
From essential saltes!
Yes, go summon up the Dead Ones,
From the pits of black N'Kai!
Yes, go summon up the Dead Ones,
But don't let it go awry!
