IF they could boost 27-29psi.... which i don't even know if they can..... it would be mid 4XXwhp.... not low 3XXwhp, also it's 79lb injectors not psi, chances are on those he is on stock blower with a heat exchanger, and/or meth injection, and if he really is over 3XXWHP either n2o or e85.....

Before you try to attack people you need to pick up a little reading comprehension. He never said the srt-4 has as much power as a corvette. He said its as fast. Srt-4's are roughly 2,600lbs where as the z06(which is slightly lighter then the c6) weighs 3,120 lbs. Thats 500lbs difference, so less horsepower can give you the same amount of performance. Now mopar has 3 tuning stages. An aquaintence of mine has an srt-4 with all 3 stages and he puts 409 hp to the wheels! Costs far less as well.
But you also gotta look at the fact that when you put that much power into a fairly small engine like the 2.4L SRT-4 engine, it's not gonna be very reliable at all. Whereas the Corvette comes with 500hp stock and is meant to handle much more. So if you look at it that way the SRT-4 with 400hp is going to be breaking down alot whereas the Z06 will not be. But yea you can make an SRT-4 quite fast, but like I said your reliability goes down the tubes.
No you are assuming that it will break down... My buddies srt-4 is an 03 and is still running with no breakdowns sans a broken half shaft from hard launches at the strip... I've seen srt-4's upwards of 600 hp... Its all about the details. Dodge put oil squirters aimed at the wrist pins to keep those nice a cool and the components in an srt-4 are of a high durability... Dodge hit a homerun with the srt-4.
True cause it all depends on how you take care of your car. It's just my personal experience with knowing people who own them and they are constantly breaking down. But if you take care of them they won't. For example people think VR-4's are horrible for reliability, but I know a guy who has 270,000 miles plus on his VR-4, he drives it hard alot but it's still running just like the day he got it. So it is how you take care of your car not the car itself good point.
exactly.. I know people with civics that are piles because they dont take care of them.. They dont change their oil for weeks after one is due they rag the hell out of it.. Point is that it all depends on how well you maintain your car.. One very big thing I have noticed is how long people let their cars run when its cold before driving..
