Somehow I knew that before they put him on the special diet that it wouldn't work. I knew that it would make things worse because it's obvious, even to me, who is not a scientific person, that if you take away fat from the body the body will naturally produce more of it to keep up with the demand for it. I knew it before Lorenzo's parents did. It's common sense. It's horrible to see this and other illnesses. I suffer from many chronic diseases and have been on the brink death. God bless him.

@ChOcOsTaR27 I saw your comment was from a month ago, so I don't think you need my answer, but basically what the dad is saying is: Lorenzo is like sink with two faucets, one gives fatty acids from what we eat, and one gives fatty acids from what the body produces. The drain at the bottom is the enzyme needed to break down those fatty acids, but Lorenzo's is plugged. The paradox comes in when cutting out all fatty acids from his food should lower his levels, his levels are actually increasing.

thank god I saw that all the parts weren't posted before I started watching...I would've been upset if I had gotten here only to find out, the hard way, that the middle 20 minutes were MISSING!! people have been asking about parts 6 & 7 for a while now...seems kinda mean that they haven't been posted...

Maybe Longhorn959 isn't joking and really does have ALD. Have you considered that he was diagnosed early enough that he was able to take Lorenzo's oil and stop the development of the disease? Like all the kids at the end of the movie, so he *would* be able to type.

I mean, chances are that he is just some random dude that typed in "I have ALD" because he was bored, but still, give him the benefit of the doubt.
