@coolbanana165 Toaster was voiced by Deanna Oliver, so yep, it's a girl. I think Jerry Rees wanted Toaster to show a more "kiddy" voice where it would entertain the kids more. The problem with men would be that it wouldn't sound interesting in the songs as well as the voice itself because it's too bold. Rees wanted more of a "sensitive" experience of Toaster, more sympathetic.

I love how the characters' personalities are all derived from their purposes as appliances. :) Toaster and Blankie are both associated with giving warmth, Lampy is perky yet "bright", Radio just never shuts up (XD), and Kirby.........
