Wow, was just listening to a Strawbs CD the other day. How great to know you are still going strong. Good luck in the future and thanks for the music. By still waters I lay down ...
Met Dave in Vancouver BC in Oct 2011. What a great guy to talk to. The Acoustic Strawbs gave a great show. Pity it was only a 45 minute set. Hopefully they make it back Stateside soon.
This page needs and deserves a few more comments. I found the Strawbs one of the nicer bands from growing up in the seventies, Part of the Union/Lay Down, etc. and DC has an original and pleasant voice, comes over here really well, thanks Dave!
It's about time that people of this country realised that Dave Cousins is probably the best Lyrisist that this country ever produced, and that the Strawbs are the most under-rated. From Folk to Progressive Rock they have done it all. Not only all, but just about better than anyone else
I dont like that comment below. All the bands in the 70's indulged...the Strawbs in my opinion were right up there with the rest and always will be. And they still sound fabulous! Sorry I missed them when they toured Canada; I hope they will return!!!!
Yay, Amy. America loves the Strawbs too! Woo hoo! I got to see them twice over the last few years. You should go when they're in your town. They also love to have a chat with the fans in between sets and after. I told Dave Lambert where to go guitar shopping and then I had an awkward coversation with Dave Cousins cause he's such a hero of mine and I got all nervous. Great bunch of guys. Hopefully Dave's over the flu! :D

If the Strawbs had laid off the booze they would have been way up there. One of Britains greatest ever bands.
