But then, why no Criuyf as he was probably #1 in the world back then? And were we happy in Chile in 1998, as they KO´d Argentina! They never will acknowledge that that 1978 WC was a hoax! But, Brazil 82 and Holland 74 remain my favourite teams ever by far, and yes Scotland 78 lacked their share of luck.

From Chile, I 100% agree that Haan had the most spectaculair goals. That was the toughest Dutch team ever, without their Cruijf and against a mafiosi ref. in the final. An eternal shame that they were not crowned, and Argentina-Peru was a cheat! Come to think of it, Argentina were never really World Champions, they needed big cheats like that ref in 78 or the hand of God in 86. I hope Holland or England will win one day, Chile just can´t, unfortunately.
