Each hopper can carry around 100 tonnes of coal (with gross loaded weight being 120t) , it's not uncommon for there to be 84 wagons on a train giving the locomotives a rather impressive 10000 tonnes to haul!
Hi, great video. I am an ex-pat Aussie now living in the UK. I am from Brisbane, and am surprised to see QR locos running in NSW. Is it a franchise operation?
QRNational has business operations in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. Just google "qrnational" for their website. Note QRNational is a seperate entity to the old Queensland Railways (now QueenslandRail), both started as Govt owned but QRNational had to be set up to allow operations in other states.
How much can these coal cars hold?

About the same capacity as coal cars here in the US. The unit coal trains in the US is around 100 to 110 cars.
