It might not be really good though (like cat or dog food) because most people don't think (or they just don't care) that non human animals like to eat things that taste good (they do).

While it is rather funny, I can understand how a child who may never have seen deer before could be afraid with so many large animals rushing towards her for the food (and deer can be quite demanding if you have food).

It would be sad if she developed a fear of animals from such an experience. But her family was calm throughout it all, which would hopefully have encouraged her to return to the deer.
