It's not too bad of an adaptation of the ORIGINAL Nick Cave's song (that's unsurpassable in my opinion...Of course, here, I must mention that the lyrics were written by his muse, Annita Lane, and the music was Blixa Bargeld's). It never gets old and it sure doesn't need anybody else but HIM to express it the right way! I 'll agree with cul8tr1: this one would be great for a catwalk... This version is the original song's (kind of) Funeral and I'm here for the Trial. Cheers!

yeah you get this all the time, people aren't aware who created the original, and to an extent it pisses me off, but not with this cover. I like Nick Caves stuff as well, but in a different way.

With pop/chart music you see covers and rip offs of various samples & riffs all the time and the clueless sorts that go for that music are mostly completely oblivious to it, so its nice to know with music from Fever Ray etc, that most followers know where things have come from.

@waaromnietEmma He probably gave away the name of it. Most serious artists do so these days because they know nobody wants their cover track to be called "Artist - Title (Artist2 Cover). That both looks and sounds terrible. And he is clearly given credit in the video description and on albums.

Just saw Fever Ray at a Festival, easily the best show i've seen in my life and i couldnt even see the stage for all the smoke they put out. had a similar set up to this video with the lampshades and a super awesome laser show.

i love karin, love her voice, love her music. however as i'm listening i can see how people could absolutely hate it. everyone i show her too looks at me like i'm missing a few marbles, so i look at them like they're the crazy one. only one person i know likes fever ray and the knife, and it really depresses me, so i just sit and listen to it, all the while thinking about how everybody i know doesnt seem to realize what they're missing out on.
