@ALcamping: then what? when you use your weapon you could still face time in prison unless you have an expensive lawyer. the whole system needs to be re-done NOW
The call does not corroborate the text in the description ... where is the audio that supports this claim? Not saying I don't believe it could happen, I just prefer proof when someone makes this kind of claim.
Daragging Arambula all over the place and putting him on teh hood of the police car after shooting him sounds exactly like what deer hunters used to do with teh deer they killed to show them off. I have to wonder if that wasn't what they were doing, showing off their prey. I mean why not call an ambulance unless they were hoping he would die before he got medical attention?
Hmm let's see the police were already in the area when the one guy brust through the families windows. It almost sounds like someone put him up to doing that to give them an excuse to go into this house and shoot someone. Maybe some powerfull connected person didn't like Anthony Arumbula and wanted him out of the way.

Omg I'm scared now .... who do I call to help me? Who should they actually put in jail...People who is caught DUI or police who shoots/taser people to death? Police has connection with one another so they don't have to go to jail.....
@andcheeky2 so you will take the chance of shooting and killing an innocent person, not knowing if he or she is the perp or not!!?? i dont know where you got your arms training from, but thats not the correct way. you asses, you pin point, you take action.
i hope this family gets multimillions from the worthless PPD!!! and i would personally sue the two scumbag cops that tried to cover up their mistake!! i would put them and their families in the poor house!!!
Phoenix Police are a DEATH SQUAD of assassins killing innocent people /watch?v=qx9Mt4krDtc Planting evidence /watch?v=2mHHprGCe9E Brutalizing children /watch?v=YbFBgk1b0rg
Not all cops should have deadly force weapons, obviously. There should be a special "deadly force teams" that they send in IF they need deadly force. And street cops should only be given tazers and mace, where they cant SHOOT innocent people in the back, this is a disgrace and of course the cops will get no harsh punishment, They will get paid leave ,and maybe moved to the paperwork side for a while of the police department, then back on the street to kill and corrupt.. once again..
@JodiSherwood Cops without guns aren't cops, just ask England, they've been arming their cops for the last decade because their crime rates have doubled. They're now carrying full auto MP5s in their trunks.
@Freakof5FDP There is no way to tell if the intruder is on drugs and won't feel the pain of a bullet in the leg. Shooting to maim can create more problems if the target goes ballistic.
Anyone with arms training knows you don't shoot in the leg. You shoot to kill.
whoops....get the check book out. "Lets see, still alive -that's good, lost of motor function, assorted scars and other injuries, check. Pain and suffering, check - I say about $1,500,000 should cover it, here you go sir, have a nice day :-)
If this guy does not get a multi million dollar settlement and the cops involved don't get life in prison you can mark my words that they will die. No ifs, ands or buts, dead. I need to find out more about this when I get home later but I plan on following this very closely. Hell these cops should be given the chair with no long death row BS either.
It's all about taking away our privileges because they have already taken our rights, god given rights written into to all western law called Common Law, in which courts seem not to recognise the law of man instead they recognise admiralty law, the law of the sea (pirate law & what do pirates do? They rob you!) but are we at sea? No!
All people of the world should take sometime to study the basics of law because if we do THEY (N.W.O) will now longer be able to control us as slaves!
That's why you simply shoot whoever breaks into your home and meet the cops in the front yard with your weapon on the kitchen table. If you hold a live intruder at gun point the trigger happy cops will just open fire on everyone.
Seems pretty typical. Whenever police mess up they're protected by their department. I'm sure everyone here watching this video has heard the police toss around the phrase "under investigation". This term is used when the department decides if the officer should face a judge or not. If there's not enough evidence then he doesn't face a judge. The problem is most of the time they use their investigation skills to cover up what really happened.
I see police brutality daily. Cops going into homes then makeing sexual advances towards women who call for assistance. Beating on kids and elderly. Teanagers being beaten by school cops for none violant issues like dress codes. If the police want the publics cooperation and assistance then learn who you are to protect instead of becomeing the enemy. America needs to take a hard look at there legal system. The cops we have now are adrenoline junkies who invite conflict. The Good Is Now Bad!!!
police are allowed to defend themselves against a potential threat, but any man with a gun and authority is a potential threat we cannot defend ourselves against..
The cops that did this are morons and killers. Cops need better training on how not to shoot first ask questions later. In the name of the son, father and holy spirit I pray you judge these cops to eternal damnation.
Description of this video is very misleading. It was an accident. I hope person who posts these never needs police. Of course when he does, a cop will be his best friend.
@lakedog19352 what is misleading? it is a 911 call. the cop did shoot him. and they did do what they could to cover it up, its just that they were being recorded on the 911 call made by the man they wrongly shot. again, what is misleading about this title? is it not brutal to you for the victim of an armed home invasion to be shot by the people who should have helped him? i find that pretty brutal. i agree it was likely an accident. mistaken identity. but i think it was preventable.
This is a very sad Mistake. Why do people assume the cop shot him on purpose because hes Mexican. Thats silly, I know plenty of cops and none of them want to shot anyone! I think this was a very sad Mistake by the police officer.
@mlibb1977 He's on the phone with 911, he's saying he's the homeowner, there's no reason to shoot AT ALL. Cops are abusing their power and we need to do something about this shit before its too late
Police cover up? IMPOSSIBLE. Police would never do that. Police are our friends not an occupying force. No police have ever attempted to cover up anything. Laws are equal to all people, police do not intimidate with guns, speed, assault ,kidnap and embezzle. Nothing a police officer does makes it ok to disobey rightfull authority. Maybe this guy should try and look less mexican if he doesn't want to be shot many, many times.
@BrownBagPropaganda Sarcasm detector broken? What I meant to say was start making lists and stockpiling. If they throw you in jail just use that time to meet like minded individuals. Aboriginal rights are disrespected world wide. Palestine has the same core imbalance as Seattle. Armed groups of white men kill brown men with impunity. Fuck a puppet black president. Where is the native president? The american Evo Morales? Legally genocided with fast food , drugs, alchohol, and systemic injustice.
@ognamas I dont know if your being sarcastic or what but you sir are OBVIOUSLY very uneducated to the point where it borders mental retardation if you honestly believe what you wrote
@ognamas I dont know if your being sarcastic or what but you sir are OBVIOUSLY very uneducated to the point where it borders mental retardation if you honestly believe what you wrote!
@ognamas that is one of the most pathetic responses i have ever heard. Im going to guess your younger than 6 years old, live in an abusive enviroment and crave attention to be making the kind of tasteless, senseless, hurtful comments your making.
i think we see here how difficult a cops job is and how confusing a life and death situation can be and how stressful it is to make life or death choices and even accidently kill someone. i feel sorry for the cops who make mistakes.
I was a victim of a home invasion. When the cops came i was the first person they saw and the cop said he almost shot me. It's very tense when they respond to home invasions.
The police are innocent. I support police and thank them for keeping me safe and most of all alive. Without you guy's I just don't know. LA Riot's would be the norm. Always listen to police. They are right. If the guy got shot, Im sorry but failer to comply with directed orders may result in death. Most people seem a bit off to officers.
@FOXnewsAlien excuse me, are you retarded, blanket innocence just because of a job...what the fuck? The police don't keep you safe, that's your own responsibility. Shooting the wrong guy, horrible mistake, what they did after is not just wrong it fucking reprehensible. This isn;t some minor oops , they shot a man 6 times, and then tried to make sure he died so he couldn't tell anyone what happened. That is far beyond fucked up.
In my opinion, if someone breaks into your home like a madman by leaping through your window and you have kids or other innocents who can't defend themselves, you blow the attacker into pieces with your gun, then place the gun in a different room than you're standing in when the cops get there. Then you explain to the cops there are no weapons in the room you're in. You explain how you defended your children. You then cooperate and do not resist if they try to take you to the station.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm so sick of you liberal/ anti police people! The officers obviously made a grave mistake! Obviously it was made during a high strees situation. BUT, these officers had no intent on killing anyone when they went into this house yet alone the wrong person! You cannot hold officers criminally liable for making such a mistake!! You people "want the heads" of police officers so bad that your ability to use common sense is out the window. Imagine how this officer must feel for the rest of his life
@shmoopify I agree with you, but why did they try to cover it up? and yeah he may FEEL bad about what he did for the rest of his life, but the dude he shot up, has to live with 6 bullet holes in his back, plus a life time of pain, because they failed to act like real police officers, I mean "dont worry I got your back"? what is that? sounds like a couple of thugs to me, dont you think? thanks for your comment
@mabbie312 - making a horrible mistake (ie shooting the wrong person HOLDING A GUN) in a extremely frantic situation is NOT "failing to act like real police officers". Thats just a horrible HUMAN mistake. Now the covering it up thing is wrong yes. However (and im not condoning the cover up) officers probably wouldnt feel like they had to cover things like that up if they knew that the public would back them up EVEN when they make these horrible mistakes. Instead the public wants a hanging!
@shmoopify no, police are paid to NOT make that absolutely retarded, unforgivable 'mistake'. that's their job. if they aren't doing that job, which they didn't as proved by this video, they have no use. and as for not wanting to cover it up, police wouldn't have to cover it up if they didn't make the 'mistake' of shooting a homeowner SIX TIMES IN THE BACK in the first place.
@johnny4463435 -Oh thats right, police are robots, not human! They arent allowed to make mistakes. It must have been murder. Tell me johnny, for whatever job you get paid to do, have you ever made a mistake? If so, you should be fired. Officers deal with life and death situations. Hence, the mistakes they make can have life or death consequences. Sucks, but its part of life. Think you can do better.....sign up!! Otherwise, save your "armchair quarterbacking" to your kids T-ball games.
@shmoopify what a terrible attempt at a refutation lol. i've already addressed those points in my previous post but you can't handle them so you just keep going with what you already said and i defeated. yes, they deal with life and death consequences. that's why they should not make mistakes in those circumstances. and if it's a 'part of life' then prison is too, and you just agreed that there is no problem with the officers being locked up ;) it's just part of the job, right?
@johnny4463435 - jail time for an accident? Wow, hopefully you never become president. Let me guess, all the military personnel who have shot someone by accident when entering a hostile room should be jailed too?? Again, your whole arguement is based on the fact that people shouldn't make mistakes. And you call my attempt at refutation weak!? Is that the lesson you teach your kids? "Kids, it is unacceptable to make mistakes".....ridiculous
@shmoopify - At your job (the one youre "trained" to do but still make mistakes im sure), when you make a mistake you say, "oops" and finish your day. When cops make a mistake peoples lives can be torn apart (including their own) and they have to live with it the rest of their life. The fact that there are people like you, with judgemental, ignorant thinking in society is just another problem the police have to deal with on a daily basis.
@shmoopify having to 'live with it the rest of their life' could mean nothing depending on the individual. there must be REAL consequences like jail time
@johnny4463435 - You have to believe one of the two following scenerios; Either (A)- You believe these cops purposely murdered this guy knowing he was not the suspect. (I dont understand why anyone would think that, but its your right) Or (B)- You believe they made a HORRIBLE mistake, and you feel they deserve jail time for making a split second wrong decision, despite whatever years of possible good public service they have done up to that point proving they have the public's safety in mind.
@johnny4463435 - Go to youtube video titled "policemen" narrated Paul Harvey. He says it all perfectly. The men and women of the uniform are tasked with things those who didnt sign up to be a cop fear. They are held to a higher regard than "average" citizens. Expected to calm the storm, save the needy and attack the bad. But your opinion is that when they make a mistake, they are to be treated as a criminal. You just dont make any sense to me.
@shmoopify Paul Harvey????? Priceless...... These men and women are tasked with these things because they were too stupid to get an education and get a real job. Their only choice was to become cops. They "accidentally" kill ten times more civilians per year than they ever help.
@TobyWontLearn - "These men and women are tasked with these things because they were too stupid to get an education and get a real job. Their only choice was to become cop". Nice. that post alone shows your ignorance and or the fact your just a crook.
@TobyWontLearn - youre a tool! You have no idea how many people just one officer helps during a shift! I hate people like you who spout out things with no factual basis. All you do is talk crap because you, a family member or a friend has been arrsted and feel it was unjust! i GUARANTEE most cops have a better education than you do by the way.
@johnny4463435 - because these men and women do the job that you and others wont. Thats like saying a doctor isnt allowed to make a wrong diagnosis! You people are fricken tards i swear!
@shmoopify it's fuckbags like you that allow these swine to kill us and get paid vacations for it. A pig is a pig is a pig, I pray they all get tortured to death. You too, since you must be one of them. No one (except swine) with a functioning brain would even pretend to think like you on this subject. Eat a fat bowl of dicks and choke on them. Have a nice day
@theonlymreaze - ahhhh! there's the mentality of a true criminal. Its always so amusing when a person has such childish words. It must be frustrating to never be succesful in life. Always getting in trouble cuz you could never grow up. Then blaming the police for your arrest record. Knowing your future is full of owning junky cars, living in friends garages and always feeling like youre being watched must suck. So i have pitty for you theonlymreaze. I hope things get better for ya! Sorta
@shmoopify I'm no criminal. My arrest record is clean, & I make a decent, hard working living. Things don't need to get better, they're pretty good. Until a pig slams my door down for no reason, shoots me six times, then gets a paid vacation for it. Is it too crazy to consider that a good, regular person might be tired of hearing and seeing these pigs literally get away with murder & torture on a daily basis? "Temporary suspension with pay" is the common punishment for these acts. Sickening.
@shmoopify How could my arrest record be clean from jail? That makes less sense than potential victims of police brutality defending it. I'd continue this argument (because I'm winning) but it's time for another 23 hours of lockdown. I'll make sure to customize your license plate to say "I heart murderers!"
@theonlymreaze - your arrest record isnt something you can disprove. Your attitude however has been proven. When "people" refer to the police as "swine" or feel that "all police officers should be tortured to death", those people fit into one of two catagories; 1. criminal 2.future criminal. What i would love to see is this same attitude when you are in the presence of an officer. But it wont happen. I know your type.
@shmoopify I'm the type that's not stupid enough to talk shit to someone who could make 20 more "people" with badges and german shepards appear out of thin air. If you were in front of Adolf Hitler, would you have told him what you thought about him to his face? Of fucking course not. Because you at least seem to have enough intelligence to recognize the fact that you would disappear forever. That wouldn't be you bitching out. That would be you surviving. Why would I want to be maced and shot?
@shmoopify But in an actual civil conversation, with maybe an off-duty pig, or anywhere where the odds were even and I could call for helicopters and swat teams to get my back, of course I'll tell a pig that he/she is nothing but a miniature power hungry dictator. I think all Nazis should be tortured to death. Not just the ones that genuinely enjoyed slaughtering jews and homos, but also the other tens of thousands of Nazis that stood by and let the brutal ones do their thing. Don't you?
@theonlymreaze - Hahaha i love it! Again, your comparing police officers to nazis!! Whata crook you are! And the best part is if you plan to (or already have) have children, you are securing jobs for future officers! The next time you are stopped by an officer (which im willing to bet is quite often) in public with plenty of witnesses around, talk your shit to their face. Unless you think that even with plenty of witnesses, the officer will just "shoot you"?
@shmoopify Shoot me? No. Taze/mace/club/plainol'beattheshitoutofme? Of course. I would love to move to your city since you obviously live somewhere with no cops. This is common knowledge in any major city in the US. Because (this is my entire point) pigs DON'T GET IN ANY TROUBLE FOR THEIR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY UNTIL THEY KILL SOMEONE. AND EVEN THEN, A LOT OF THE TIME THEY STILL GET AWAY WITH IT. Pigs aren't scared of witnesses, genius! In court, a pigs word is worth ten civilians telling the truth.
@shmoopify I've seen pigs destroy people just for following their directions, let alone talking back. "SIT DOWN!!!" "Okay..." (sits down) "STOP RESISTING!!!" (Maglight to the top of the skull, before dragging him out to the front lawn, tazing and siccing the k-9 on him).
I didn't get my opinion by watching shit on youtube, i've watched it with my own eyes, over and over, my whole life. As for drugs, that shit is only for junkies, it's the only thing I hate more than cops.
@theonlymreaze -"I didn't get my opinion by watching shit on youtube, i've watched it with my own eyes, over and over, my whole life." I KNEW YOU WERE A CRIMINAL! LOL
As i have said many times before, I live in a city ranked in the top 10 largest in the nation. Funny how all of the decent, respectable people have no issues with the police. It's only criminals, and ignorant people who believe everything the news reports is true.
@shmoopify Sure does. You have convinced me that not only am I a criminal (who knew?), but that police men and women are all shining examples of what's good and right in our country. You, sir, are quite the master debater, officer shmoopify.
@theonlymreaze - if you have watched it over and over your whole life, you need to either start living a striaght, non criminal life or start picking better friends to hang out with! LOL
Wrong. In this case, the cops ignored their own "proper procedure", didn't assess the situation, didn't ID the target, and shot an innocent man. They're trained to not shoot indiscriminately at the 1st thing that moves. But they did. This is called careless use of deadly force and reckless disregard for human life. These are crimes, not mistakes. Unless you feel that gang members simply make "mistakes" when they shoot people. Calm - not create - the storm. Law applies to cops, too.
@bikaren1980 - i never said they didnt make a mistake. But dont for a second consider it a crime. Covering it up (if that happened), yes a crime, but the actual shooting, no.Officers sign up to do a job that most wont do.If something like this happens (the shooting), then it is the communities responsibility to not expect charges be brought. The attempt at covering it up is different however. You cannot condem an officer for making a mistake in a job where life and death is seperated by seconds.
The fact is that while they shot the wrong person, what the shooting officer did IS a crime. He committed a crime while in uniform, but that doesn't make it less of a crime. You cops are bound by the same laws as the rest of us and have to be held to the same standards as the rest of society. Else, we have the dreaded police state. The community has the right to expect equal treatment under the law. The coverup proves their guilt. If not a crime, why cover it up? Why lie?
@bikaren1980- If a hunter shoots another hunter by accident, there are no murder charges filed LOL, whats wrong with you!? Also, when hunting deer, you might have plenty of time time "ID your target". But when you r going into an "active gun" scene, that time is GREATLY reduced by stress, fear and human error. MISTAKES will happen! Are they horrible, sad and sometimes deadly mistakes? Yes. But thats what they are....mistakes.
If I accidentally shoot you, then it's a mistake and I need not face charges? Cool! C'mon over - I have something for you. Crimes can be committed mistakenly, but they are still crimes and there are still consequences. You cops are NOT above the law.
@bikaren1980 - plz dont say ignorant things on purpose. It would depend on the circimstances. The INTENT behind the incident is a major element. You people need to get over your hatred of the police, and use your common sense.Even if this was a neighbor who ran in to help and ended up shooting his neighbor by accident, there would be no charges filed. My opinion has nthing to do with it being a cop, other than the fact people have to understand that this stuff has a chance of happening to them.
Please don't state lies as fact. I don't hate the police. Few people do. Everybody hates the corrupt ones, the ones that get away with committing crimes that a non-cop would be in jail over, and the ones that treat non-cops as sub-human.
If my neighbor runs into my house and mistakenly shoots me - there would be charges, there would be an indictment, there would be jail time.
Your opinion has EVERYTHING to do with it (and you) being a cop. Stop lying already!
@bikaren1980 - There would be 0 jail time. How is it that you think you know more than i do, in my own line of work? I GUESS, there could be charges of manslaughter brought up on him, but there is no way he would get jail time. Why is it im lying and your opinion is right? Even though I'm the cop and deal with type of stuff for a living.....
@bikaren1980 There would be 0 jail time. How is it that you think you know more than i do, in my own line of work? I GUESS, there could be charges of manslaughter brought up on him, but there is no way he would get jail time. Why is it im lying and your opinion is right? Even though I'm the cop and deal with type of stuff for a living.....
It's pretty common for police to use force and intimidation on a daily basis. I'm not saying all police are bad it's just extremely apparent that you and the majority of all officers would rather follow procedure and stomp over someone's civil rights than to stand up to your superiors.
@bikaren1980 - and why would you even expect jail time? Your neighbor come to your aid and mistakingly kills you. That is something he would have to live with forever! His intent was to help and you would expect him to serve jail time!? Thats whats wrong with society.
INTENT?? That's your defense - intent? How weak does it GET with you? "I intended to shoot the burglar standing in front of Officer Shmoopify, but he ducked. I didn't mean to put two into the cop's head. Don't prosecute me." You're okay with that, huh? If you are, stay away from my house.
What is really wrong with society is people like you expecting a double-standard for cops, lawmakers, and judges. "Equal Protection Under The Law" Learn that. You ARE NOT above the law.
@bikaren1980 - yes intent. What do u mean double standard?? I used a neighbor (not a cop) as an example and said he wouldnt/shouldnt face charges. SO answer me this; Your wife hears screams for help from next door and a gunshot. Knowing the neighbor kids are home alone, she goes over with her own gun in an attempt to help. She sees bad guy about to shoot kid so she fires her gun, killin the neighbor kid by accident. Not only do u think ur wife is a murderer but she should get prison time!?
How about a REAL situation instead of your made-up st00pidity? Two cops enter a home and shoot the first person they see without evaluating the situation they're in. They shoot the guy IN THE BACK six times. The last two shots are fired into him AFTER he hits the floor.
1. The man could not possibly have posed a threat to them.
2. They saw no gun as it was not visible THROUGH the shooting victim.
3. The guy was on the telephone - what burglar uses the phone in the middle of a crime?
@bikaren1980 -Whats's "stoopidity", is people like you who "armchair quarterback" this stuff using only what you read in the paper and statements made by defense attorneys or by what people who say who state they witnessed the event. You are so full of hate towards the police, that without knowing all of the facts, you are ready to pass judgement in a heartbeat.Did you know that 70% of suspects killed by police are shot in the side or back area? You speak as if you were watching this unfold on TV
Again and again you FAIL to address the points raised - because you can't. Your attempt to justify this shooting because one of your buddy cops did it is deplorable and disgusting. Find the YouTube vids of the Seattle woodcarver - murdered for carrying a CLOSED knife. I despise cops who commit crimes, cops who defend those cops, and cops who cover-up crimes they've committed. If you're one of those, you deserve to be hated.
Turn this around. Guy kills cop accidentally. OK with you?
@bikaren1980 - what r u talking about "closed knife". Try to stick to the incident in question would ya! Anyways dont forget your basing all your angry opinions on details given by either media, family or a defense attorney. But i suppose you feel thats all a person needs to pass judgement is one side of a story. You seem like that type. Also, to answer your "turn this around" question.
You're wrong again, Shmoopy! LISTEN to the 911 tape. That 911 tape isn't supplied by the media, the family, or any attorney. The 911 tape doesn't lie. One cop states, "We fokked up" and the other says, "I've got your back. We clear?"
Damning evidence provided by the cops themselves through the 911 system recording. Stick to the FACTS, Shmoopy.
You seem to feel that cops could NEVER commit a criminal act - typical of cops. That you defend the shooting of an innocent man is disgusting
@bikaren1980 -If my partner was accidentally killed by a citizen who was coming to his aid in a life threatening situation, not only would I not want charges pressed on them, but i would publicly fight for that if it came to it. Why would u punish someone for trying to help?! "Sorry sir, we know your intentions were good, and that you are a great upstanding citizen and family man, but because you made this mistake, we now consider you a murderer". Ridiculous
@bikaren1980 - ok i watched the wood carver videos.AGAIN, you base your opinion on media info and that of his attorney. Why not wait to hear all the evidence? Why not wait to see what a jury who has seen/heard all the evidence concludes?Instead, you judge instantly. Without knowing all the facts.Without EVER having done this type of work and being presented with this type of confrontation. You sit in your cubicle or couch and pass judgement on officers who went through it. I think thats ignorant
You obviously missed the part where the other cops ask the murderous cop about the CLOSED 3" knife found on the street. There are photos of this "weapon" taken by the Crime Scene Unit at the scene. It was found and photographed CLOSED. There are your facts, Shmoopy. Cold blooded murder of a man who posed no threat to anybody. Shot IN THE BACK because he did not "Kneel Before Zod!"
The only "ignorant" thing about our exchange is that you won't admit that cops act criminally every day.
@bikaren1980 - so there is no other explanation for the knife being closed right? Theres no possible way that when the officer saw him the knife was open and as he walked passed the officer the vagrant closed it? You cant possibly conceive to the fact that there is ANY other way that that knife could have been open. Also, IF the vagrant threatened the officer, how close should the officer let the guy get to him before he opens it?? I notice you have no reply to my Hollywood robbery question
No other explanation? Like, "aliens closed it"? There is no evidence that the knife was EVER open. If it was found open, you'd be screaming that the thing had to have been open when the guy was shot, and justifying the shooting based on that. IF the man threatened the cop? HOW??? By running aggressively BACKWARD at the cop with a closed knife? HE WAS SHOT IN THE BACK - a continuing theme with cops lately. The cop murdered an innocent man. Hollywood robbery? WTF are you talking about?
@bikaren1980 - why tell me to research something and then you not have the" facts" straight yourself? By using your technique of the media as "facts" i found some of the reports that stated the officer said that at the time the vagrant passed in front of him in the crosswalk, he was stabbing the knife into a piece of wood. (hence the knife was open). I looked up your video, now u look up mine "1997 North Hollywood bank robbery".Officer kills officer in that shootout and u consider him a murderer
@shmoopify Here are the FACTS Shmoopy: 1. The vid from the cop's dash cam shows no knife - open or otherwise. 2. The knife was found and recovered CLOSED. 3. The man was shot in the back - never a threat to the officer. 3. He was murdered because he didn't "Kneel before Zod!" fast enough. Re: 97 N. Hollywood: As per youtube.com/watch?v=j7X3pRkRfTg&feature=related . . . the ONLY two fatalities during that incident were the 2 suspects. Start at 5:15 Get at least a clue and argue FACTS next time.
@bikaren1980 - lol nice facts.First off, saying that you can see the knife in that video opened or closed is ridiculous!!70% of officer involved shootings are shots to the suspects side or back due to defensive movements when the gun is drawn.AND TRY TO FOLLOW THIS; what i said was IF an officer had accidentally shot another officer during the N Hollywood shootout, your feeling is that not only would that officer be guilty of murder but should go to prison as well..? Get a clue and learn to read
Show me exactly where I stated that I can see the knife in that video. You can't because I did not state that. Learn how to read.
So many shootings in the back and side - because cops fire on people who aren't a threat. The homeowner in this video was never a threat to those officers. One fired six times - twice into the man as he lay bleeding and helpless on the floor of his own home. The other cop never fired even once. The cop decided to EXECUTE the man he thought was a burglar.
IF??? As in IF the cop in Seattle and this one weren't trigger happy? You must be SO PROUD of these two cops and hold them up as examples for all law enforcement to emulate! You DEFEND the indefensible with an incident in N Hollywood which is completely unlike what has happened in these two cases. Apples meet . . . Hell, apples meet alligators. NOTHING like each other. Can you see how RIDICULOUS your position has become attempting to defend murderers? Goodbye, shmoopy.
@bikaren1980 - LOL are you sure you don't work for the media? Once again you dodge the question. A question by the way which has everything to do with the issue at hand! An accidental killing in the heat of battle. But you just keep telling yourself youre right. Tell me, the fact that a jury will or did not find these officers not guilty probably means nothing to you either right? Theres no way that they know better than you!Its a huge set up from the federal level on down isnt it? LOL
@francobobfred - im tellin ya! These people who are so anti cop are so ready to witch hunt any officer that they hear about in the media who might have f'd up, that they forget there is ALWAYS two sides to every story! I sure hope when someone calls the police against one of these "anti police" people, that the officer who shows up gives them the courtesy of listening to both sides instead of just arresting them... ;)
@shmoopify Yeah, the 2 sides to this one was a cover up between the 2 cops, that just happened to be caught on the 911 call. They more than fuked up. They belong in prison along with the rest of the garbage out there.
@Pumpedmuscle - Dont let all that muscle between your ears effect your common sense! You dont know what went down in that house other than what you read about. As well, you have no idea what all that yelling meant during that high stress incident. Youre just another person who believes only what the media tells you.
That's the cops' attitude, freebird. If you don't grovel and meekly obey their every command - reasonable or unreasonable (in other words, "Kneel before Zod) - you shall suffer the wrath of cop. The worst crime you can commit is Contempt of Cop. People have been executed on the spot for that transgression.
@bikaren1980 - In the 1997 North Hollywood bank robbery shootout, if we applied your belief, if an officer accidentally shot another officer in that hail of gunfire, he should face murder charges. Come on man, use your common sense!

Not all cops should have deadly force weapons, obviously. There should be a special "deadly force teams" that they send in IF they need deadly force. And street cops should only be given tazers and mace, where they cant SHOOT innocent people in the back, this is a disgrace and of course the cops will get no harsh punishment, They will get paid leave ,and maybe moved to the paperwork side for a while of the police department, then back on the street to kill and corrupt.. once again..

Aussiegregory1979 7 months ago 2
That's why you simply shoot whoever breaks into your home and meet the cops in the front yard with your weapon on the kitchen table. If you hold a live intruder at gun point the trigger happy cops will just open fire on everyone.
outlawracer2229 7 months ago
Seems pretty typical. Whenever police mess up they're protected by their department. I'm sure everyone here watching this video has heard the police toss around the phrase "under investigation". This term is used when the department decides if the officer should face a judge or not. If there's not enough evidence then he doesn't face a judge. The problem is most of the time they use their investigation skills to cover up what really happened.
davitodude 8 months ago
I see police brutality daily. Cops going into homes then makeing sexual advances towards women who call for assistance. Beating on kids and elderly. Teanagers being beaten by school cops for none violant issues like dress codes. If the police want the publics cooperation and assistance then learn who you are to protect instead of becomeing the enemy. America needs to take a hard look at there legal system. The cops we have now are adrenoline junkies who invite conflict. The Good Is Now Bad!!!

lakedog19352 9 months ago
@lakedog19352 what is misleading? it is a 911 call. the cop did shoot him. and they did do what they could to cover it up, its just that they were being recorded on the 911 call made by the man they wrongly shot. again, what is misleading about this title? is it not brutal to you for the victim of an armed home invasion to be shot by the people who should have helped him? i find that pretty brutal. i agree it was likely an accident. mistaken identity. but i think it was preventable.

Police cover up? IMPOSSIBLE. Police would never do that. Police are our friends not an occupying force. No police have ever attempted to cover up anything.

Imagine how this officer must feel for the rest of his life
shmoopify 1 year ago
@shmoopify I agree with you, but why did they try to cover it up? and yeah he may FEEL bad about what he did for the rest of his life, but the dude he shot up, has to live with 6 bullet holes in his back, plus a life time of pain, because they failed to act like real police officers, I mean "dont worry I got your back"? what is that? sounds like a couple of thugs to me, dont you think? thanks for your comment
mabbie312 1 year ago
@mabbie312 - making a horrible mistake (ie shooting the wrong person HOLDING A GUN) in a extremely frantic situation is NOT "failing to act like real police officers". Thats just a horrible HUMAN mistake. Now the covering it up thing is wrong yes. However (and im not condoning the cover up) officers probably wouldnt feel like they had to cover things like that up if they knew that the public would back them up EVEN when they make these horrible mistakes. Instead the public wants a hanging!
shmoopify 1 year ago
@shmoopify no, police are paid to NOT make that absolutely retarded, unforgivable 'mistake'. that's their job. if they aren't doing that job, which they didn't as proved by this video, they have no use. and as for not wanting to cover it up, police wouldn't have to cover it up if they didn't make the 'mistake' of shooting a homeowner SIX TIMES IN THE BACK in the first place.
johnny4463435 11 months ago
@johnny4463435 -Oh thats right, police are robots, not human! They arent allowed to make mistakes. It must have been murder. Tell me johnny, for whatever job you get paid to do, have you ever made a mistake? If so, you should be fired. Officers deal with life and death situations. Hence, the mistakes they make can have life or death consequences. Sucks, but its part of life. Think you can do better.....sign up!! Otherwise, save your "armchair quarterbacking" to your kids T-ball games.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify what a terrible attempt at a refutation lol. i've already addressed those points in my previous post but you can't handle them so you just keep going with what you already said and i defeated. yes, they deal with life and death consequences. that's why they should not make mistakes in those circumstances. and if it's a 'part of life' then prison is too, and you just agreed that there is no problem with the officers being locked up ;) it's just part of the job, right?
johnny4463435 11 months ago
@johnny4463435 - jail time for an accident? Wow, hopefully you never become president. Let me guess, all the military personnel who have shot someone by accident when entering a hostile room should be jailed too?? Again, your whole arguement is based on the fact that people shouldn't make mistakes. And you call my attempt at refutation weak!? Is that the lesson you teach your kids? "Kids, it is unacceptable to make mistakes".....ridiculous
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify - At your job (the one youre "trained" to do but still make mistakes im sure), when you make a mistake you say, "oops" and finish your day. When cops make a mistake peoples lives can be torn apart (including their own) and they have to live with it the rest of their life. The fact that there are people like you, with judgemental, ignorant thinking in society is just another problem the police have to deal with on a daily basis.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify having to 'live with it the rest of their life' could mean nothing depending on the individual. there must be REAL consequences like jail time
johnny4463435 11 months ago
@johnny4463435 - You have to believe one of the two following scenerios; Either (A)- You believe these cops purposely murdered this guy knowing he was not the suspect. (I dont understand why anyone would think that, but its your right) Or (B)- You believe they made a HORRIBLE mistake, and you feel they deserve jail time for making a split second wrong decision, despite whatever years of possible good public service they have done up to that point proving they have the public's safety in mind.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@johnny4463435 - Go to youtube video titled "policemen" narrated Paul Harvey. He says it all perfectly. The men and women of the uniform are tasked with things those who didnt sign up to be a cop fear. They are held to a higher regard than "average" citizens. Expected to calm the storm, save the needy and attack the bad. But your opinion is that when they make a mistake, they are to be treated as a criminal. You just dont make any sense to me.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify Paul Harvey????? Priceless...... These men and women are tasked with these things because they were too stupid to get an education and get a real job. Their only choice was to become cops. They "accidentally" kill ten times more civilians per year than they ever help.

theonlymreaze 11 months ago
@theonlymreaze - ahhhh! there's the mentality of a true criminal. Its always so amusing when a person has such childish words. It must be frustrating to never be succesful in life. Always getting in trouble cuz you could never grow up. Then blaming the police for your arrest record. Knowing your future is full of owning junky cars, living in friends garages and always feeling like youre being watched must suck. So i have pitty for you theonlymreaze. I hope things get better for ya! Sorta
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify I'm no criminal. My arrest record is clean, & I make a decent, hard working living. Things don't need to get better, they're pretty good. Until a pig slams my door down for no reason, shoots me six times, then gets a paid vacation for it. Is it too crazy to consider that a good, regular person might be tired of hearing and seeing these pigs literally get away with murder & torture on a daily basis? "Temporary suspension with pay" is the common punishment for these acts. Sickening.

theonlymreaze 11 months ago
@theonlymreaze - your arrest record isnt something you can disprove. Your attitude however has been proven. When "people" refer to the police as "swine" or feel that "all police officers should be tortured to death", those people fit into one of two catagories; 1. criminal 2.future criminal. What i would love to see is this same attitude when you are in the presence of an officer. But it wont happen. I know your type.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify I'm the type that's not stupid enough to talk shit to someone who could make 20 more "people" with badges and german shepards appear out of thin air. If you were in front of Adolf Hitler, would you have told him what you thought about him to his face? Of fucking course not. Because you at least seem to have enough intelligence to recognize the fact that you would disappear forever. That wouldn't be you bitching out. That would be you surviving. Why would I want to be maced and shot?
theonlymreaze 11 months ago
@shmoopify But in an actual civil conversation, with maybe an off-duty pig, or anywhere where the odds were even and I could call for helicopters and swat teams to get my back, of course I'll tell a pig that he/she is nothing but a miniature power hungry dictator. I think all Nazis should be tortured to death. Not just the ones that genuinely enjoyed slaughtering jews and homos, but also the other tens of thousands of Nazis that stood by and let the brutal ones do their thing. Don't you?
theonlymreaze 11 months ago
@theonlymreaze - Hahaha i love it! Again, your comparing police officers to nazis!! Whata crook you are! And the best part is if you plan to (or already have) have children, you are securing jobs for future officers! The next time you are stopped by an officer (which im willing to bet is quite often) in public with plenty of witnesses around, talk your shit to their face. Unless you think that even with plenty of witnesses, the officer will just "shoot you"?
shmoopify 11 months ago

@theonlymreaze - and if that IS what you think the officer will do, then not only are you a criminal, but youre on drugs too! LOL

Law applies to cops, too.
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - i never said they didnt make a mistake. But dont for a second consider it a crime. Covering it up (if that happened), yes a crime, but the actual shooting, no.Officers sign up to do a job that most wont do.If something like this happens (the shooting), then it is the communities responsibility to not expect charges be brought. The attempt at covering it up is different however. You cannot condem an officer for making a mistake in a job where life and death is seperated by seconds.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
Why lie?
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980- If a hunter shoots another hunter by accident, there are no murder charges filed LOL, whats wrong with you!? Also, when hunting deer, you might have plenty of time time "ID your target". But when you r going into an "active gun" scene, that time is GREATLY reduced by stress, fear and human error. MISTAKES will happen! Are they horrible, sad and sometimes deadly mistakes? Yes. But thats what they are....mistakes.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
If I accidentally shoot you, then it's a mistake and I need not face charges? Cool! C'mon over - I have something for you. Crimes can be committed mistakenly, but they are still crimes and there are still consequences. You cops are NOT above the law.
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - plz dont say ignorant things on purpose. It would depend on the circimstances. The INTENT behind the incident is a major element. You people need to get over your hatred of the police, and use your common sense.Even if this was a neighbor who ran in to help and ended up shooting his neighbor by accident, there would be no charges filed. My opinion has nthing to do with it being a cop, other than the fact people have to understand that this stuff has a chance of happening to them.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
Stop lying already!
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - There would be 0 jail time. How is it that you think you know more than i do, in my own line of work? I GUESS, there could be charges of manslaughter brought up on him, but there is no way he would get jail time. Why is it im lying and your opinion is right? Even though I'm the cop and deal with type of stuff for a living.....

@shmoopify
It's pretty common for police to use force and intimidation on a daily basis. I'm not saying all police are bad it's just extremely apparent that you and the majority of all officers would rather follow procedure and stomp over someone's civil rights than to stand up to your superiors.
davitodude 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - and why would you even expect jail time? Your neighbor come to your aid and mistakingly kills you. That is something he would have to live with forever! His intent was to help and you would expect him to serve jail time!? Thats whats wrong with society.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
You ARE NOT above the law.
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - yes intent. What do u mean double standard?? I used a neighbor (not a cop) as an example and said he wouldnt/shouldnt face charges. SO answer me this; Your wife hears screams for help from next door and a gunshot. Knowing the neighbor kids are home alone, she goes over with her own gun in an attempt to help. She sees bad guy about to shoot kid so she fires her gun, killin the neighbor kid by accident. Not only do u think ur wife is a murderer but she should get prison time!?
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
3. The guy was on the telephone - what burglar uses the phone in the middle of a crime?
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 -Whats's "stoopidity", is people like you who "armchair quarterback" this stuff using only what you read in the paper and statements made by defense attorneys or by what people who say who state they witnessed the event. You are so full of hate towards the police, that without knowing all of the facts, you are ready to pass judgement in a heartbeat.Did you know that 70% of suspects killed by police are shot in the side or back area? You speak as if you were watching this unfold on TV
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
OK with you?
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - what r u talking about "closed knife". Try to stick to the incident in question would ya! Anyways dont forget your basing all your angry opinions on details given by either media, family or a defense attorney. But i suppose you feel thats all a person needs to pass judgement is one side of a story. You seem like that type. Also, to answer your "turn this around" question.
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
That you defend the shooting of an innocent man is disgusting
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 -If my partner was accidentally killed by a citizen who was coming to his aid in a life threatening situation, not only would I not want charges pressed on them, but i would publicly fight for that if it came to it. Why would u punish someone for trying to help?! "Sorry sir, we know your intentions were good, and that you are a great upstanding citizen and family man, but because you made this mistake, we now consider you a murderer". Ridiculous
shmoopify 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - ok i watched the wood carver videos.AGAIN, you base your opinion on media info and that of his attorney. Why not wait to hear all the evidence? Why not wait to see what a jury who has seen/heard all the evidence concludes?Instead, you judge instantly. Without knowing all the facts.Without EVER having done this type of work and being presented with this type of confrontation. You sit in your cubicle or couch and pass judgement on officers who went through it. I think thats ignorant
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
The only "ignorant" thing about our exchange is that you won't admit that cops act criminally every day.
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - so there is no other explanation for the knife being closed right? Theres no possible way that when the officer saw him the knife was open and as he walked passed the officer the vagrant closed it? You cant possibly conceive to the fact that there is ANY other way that that knife could have been open. Also, IF the vagrant threatened the officer, how close should the officer let the guy get to him before he opens it?? I notice you have no reply to my Hollywood robbery question
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify
WTF are you talking about?
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - why tell me to research something and then you not have the" facts" straight yourself? By using your technique of the media as "facts" i found some of the reports that stated the officer said that at the time the vagrant passed in front of him in the crosswalk, he was stabbing the knife into a piece of wood. (hence the knife was open). I looked up your video, now u look up mine "1997 North Hollywood bank robbery".Officer kills officer in that shootout and u consider him a murderer
shmoopify 11 months ago
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - lol nice facts.First off, saying that you can see the knife in that video opened or closed is ridiculous!!70% of officer involved shootings are shots to the suspects side or back due to defensive movements when the gun is drawn.AND TRY TO FOLLOW THIS; what i said was IF an officer had accidentally shot another officer during the N Hollywood shootout, your feeling is that not only would that officer be guilty of murder but should go to prison as well..? Get a clue and learn to read
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify

Re: Hollywood:
Goodbye, shmoopy.
bikaren1980 11 months ago
@bikaren1980 - LOL are you sure you don't work for the media? Once again you dodge the question. A question by the way which has everything to do with the issue at hand! An accidental killing in the heat of battle. But you just keep telling yourself youre right. Tell me, the fact that a jury will or did not find these officers not guilty probably means nothing to you either right? Theres no way that they know better than you!Its a huge set up from the federal level on down isnt it? LOL
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify LOL. Just like 9/11 was an inside job :-)
francobobfred 11 months ago 2
@francobobfred - im tellin ya! These people who are so anti cop are so ready to witch hunt any officer that they hear about in the media who might have f'd up, that they forget there is ALWAYS two sides to every story! I sure hope when someone calls the police against one of these "anti police" people, that the officer who shows up gives them the courtesy of listening to both sides instead of just arresting them... ;)
shmoopify 11 months ago
@shmoopify Yeah, the 2 sides to this one was a cover up between the 2 cops, that just happened to be caught on the 911 call. They more than fuked up. They belong in prison along with the rest of the garbage out there.
Pumpedmuscle 10 months ago 28
@Pumpedmuscle - Dont let all that muscle between your ears effect your common sense! You dont know what went down in that house other than what you read about. As well, you have no idea what all that yelling meant during that high stress incident. Youre just another person who believes only what the media tells you.
shmoopify 10 months ago
@bikaren1980 Hahaha, Kneel before Zod. That was a good one
freebird0147 10 months ago
@freebird0147
Be careful out there.
bikaren1980 10 months ago
@bikaren1980 - In the 1997 North Hollywood bank robbery shootout, if we applied your belief, if an officer accidentally shot another officer in that hail of gunfire, he should face murder charges. Come on man, use your common sense!
